The Epitome has a great atmosphere and the staff was trained to serve customers well. I went with my family to try out the International buffet on a Sunday. Presentation of the buffet was good but certain food items weren't fresh. Particularly the potatoes were off and chicken curry didn't taste good. I've also tried food at their coffee shop and my experience at the coffee shop was better than the buffet. I felt the food items weren't fresh at the buffet and my husband also fell a sick the next day. Given they charge as much as I'd pay at a star class hotel in Colombo, I'd suggest they take a closer look at the quality of food served and the health and safety aspect of the food. The only reason why I wouldn't come back is the quality of the food in the buffet. But I loved the vibe of the place !

Visited with some overseas friends for Lunch. Staff is not active and helpful. No eye contact when the order is taking. Less Friendly. More of the Menu is not available. Love the premise and it’s attire. Clean and spacious. Not in a thought of visiting twice..

I recently had the opportunity to attend an event organized by a third party and held at the hotel. To be completely honest, my overall experience left much to be desired. The catering staff, unfortunately, seemed to lack the necessary competence to effectively handle their tasks. It was disheartening to encounter employees who couldn't provide basic information about the menu or even portion sizes. What truly surprised me was the consistent oversight in providing cutlery and plates with our food orders. This made dining quite the challenge, and it's safe to say that the food itself didn't do much to compensate for this inconvenience. The flavor was disappointingly bland, and the price we paid definitely did not reflect the quality we received. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that the food was served cold, and to add to the disappointment, the seafood rice dish lacked even a trace of seafood. Parking, as expected during events with large crowds, proved to be quite a hassle. Thankfully, the parking lot staff were more accommodating and helpful compared to the rest of the team. It's worth noting that the hotel's architecture and design exude elegance, which only made the inconsistent service stand out more starkly. What struck me as particularly perplexing was the stark contrast between the grandeur of the establishment and the underwhelming service it provided. Interestingly, the Cloud 9 Cafe adjacent to the hotel managed to outshine its parent establishment in terms of service quality and food taste. It's clear to me that the potential for excellence is present, but it's a pity that the execution falls short in certain areas.

Staff are knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Food is pretty good.nice and clean. everything is perfect. no negative points to say.

This venue made our wedding dreams come true! I love this venue! Our wedding was beautiful and having the indoor ceremony with an indoor reception was perfect for morning wedding and also perfect for the photo shoot too. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The food was amazing down to the last bite. Everything was AMAZING! Thank you EPITOM and the team!

They have the largest banquet hall in Sri Lanka and now opened two restaurants and a pub will be opening soon. Need to improve the varieties of food, as they are not enough for the buffet. They are charging for the water bottles in the buffet too.

Our dining experience at Hotel Epitome was simply outstanding. The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and inviting, and the staff was incredibly attentive. Everything is fine. Customer Service Excellent. The room is also very good. All room facilities are available. It would be nice if the meals were improved a bit more. Both dinner and lunch buffet are almost the same. The food is not tasty. Overall a really good place

Half of the menu was not available and the food was tasteless. There was no salt and paper even. Also only fizzy drinks were available and when we asked to order lime juice they said the cafe is closed but they offered lime juice to another set of people. Equally, they said we can’t reserve the table as well earlier when we called. Really disappointed with food and the service. Never recommend this place to another person!

Visited the place recently for a musical event organized by a third party and hosted by the hotel and the overall experience was way below average. The catering staff especially were very incompetent on almost all their tasks, some had no idea what was on the menu when asked about ingredients and portion sizes. Each time food were ordered they forgot(?) to provide cutlery and sometimes even plates to dine in. The food was bland as well, and definitely wasn't worth the price tags. Maybe it would have been better if tried while hot, but of course we didn't have the utensils to even try. Parking can be an issue when attending events hosted for large groups but the hotel staff at the parking lot are considerably more helpful than the rest. The architecture and the design of the hotel itself is very elegant, but it is disappointing that the grandeur of the architecture doesn't trickle down to the service they provide. It is also surprising because the adjecant Cloud 9 Cafe that is also managed by the hotel provide way better service and tastier food as well.

poor service. we went on a dinner ( three families) and took a liquor bottle also. two of us drank. they said that they cannot allow us to keep the bottle on the table and wanted them to keep the bottle and serve us on our request. According to them the bottle was finished , According to us its like having a half a bottle, cheated us on liquor. we asked for the roof top and they refused to offer it saying that its a Friday and they have some "usual " customers to be served and refused to offer us the roof top. so called "usual" customers didn't come till We leave after dinner.- This was informed to a person identified as the manager and he also said that the roof top cannot be given. the staff behaved like that we went there for begging..... poor service, Cheated us on our own liquor bottle. not worth for the money paid at all. Unable to recommend for anybody.

Went to the BBQ buffet in Epitome. Food was good. Their first event on the roof top. Loved the ambience and the service is also kind of good. Some drawbacks were there but not in complainable level.

Went there on a public holiday weekend. Group of 5. Cost for dinner 7300/= with 2 additional side dishes (potato wedges n battered cuttlefish) Place: 5 Stars. But still under low maintenance it seems. Nice pool area and rooftop restaurant. Food: Average. Do not try their Epitome Special Mix Rice! Not well cooked and too much sauce added with less rice portion. Service: Above average. They treat the customers well and ample of staff was there even in a public holiday weekend.

We didn't stay at the hotel. Just went to the outlet to buy some food which was tasty, good and nice. Staff is friendly but the service is really slow. Both the times we have to wait more that 30min to get our food.

Well arranged place for the functions like weddings, parties, events, exhibitions, festivals. Car parking facility is well organized. Foods also well prepared. Service to the guests, should be improved.

Corporate event was held there. Excellent service and food. But the hotel construction was not fully completed. 1st floor wash rooms needs more uplifting as it was not sufficient for a crowd of 25plus people

My wedding was there. Service was zero.. planed guests was 200 but the actual crowd was 180.. but they claimed for 219 plates.. please be careful about the matter.. honeymoon couple was purposely harrested by the banquet manager.. 😥😥😡😡😡😡

Visited there to have lunch. Good place. But no much options for lunch, especially no curries to select. Instead you have to order from bytes menu which is not providing good options for lunch. It took more than 45 mins to prepare the order even it was mentioned as 20 mins. Staff also seemed not trained and not providing enough information to take a decision. But the food is quite good.

Wonderful location with modern luxury. Place is amazing and breathtaking. I went their for a friends wedding. However the bite dishes ran out quickly and the food is fancy but not taste. Anyways 5stars from me for the place. One of beat architecture I have seen in a wedding hall.

Went for a drink with friend. They do have a bit unreasonable spending limit per person for 3500, which is quite higher than even some Colombo fancy places. Food is average and nothing much than a good looking building and a rooftop pool. I advise to avoid the place unless you want to get a huge bill for a average foods.

This is a new build. They’ve got a really nice swimming pool on the roof top where you can enjoy food and drinks as well. They’ve got buffet services on weekends (call and inquire). Decent rooms available. I’m definitely looking to stay next time I’m in town. Beautiful banquet hall.

Went there for lunch. The À la carte menu could be a little bit improved but the things they have are delicious nevertheless. The place is awesome and photogenic as well. The staff is super nice and polite all the time.

I had last holidays at epitome,i went with my family ( wife/ son and daughter). Really had fantastic time at the place and i like to thanks to Management and kind-helpful staff.i got chance to attempt street food festival also. It was well planed and organized by the staff. I enjoyed taste food/ luxury rooms / clean and wonderfully located swim fool. Once again i thanks to the epitome for being a memoranda blessed lifetime and i like invite others to joint with them.

You live up to the name, and we had a wonderful time there. Excellent facilities, food, and most importantly, customer care. The lady front office manager and her assistant, Mr. Kasun, went great distances to see that our stay was memorable. The only concern I had was something to do with the safety issue, and Mr. Kasun promised to sort it out as soon as possible. Therefore, it is not worth mentioning it here. I hope they will attend to it soon. Thank you.

An absolutely great experience. Room with a rating of 5 stars.Breakfast is fantastic. We were exhausted after a long flight from Melbourne.The staff at reception were very accommodating. Lahiruka has been extremely helpful and polite. There were no hidden charges at the checkout. We were very relaxed.Thanks , We will Recommend Epitome for others.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and also the room was very beautiful. When it comes to food I loved the breakfast although it was small. For lunch had to choose between steamed rice, noodles and pasta as the other rice options were for non-veg. Wish they had a special rice.

Went for a High Tea, had many different type of snacks and eats. For drinking only had too few collection. Their customer service is amazing, if they can keep it always that would be awesome 👌. Nice environment to have a peaceful evening. For food quality, I guess they can improve the quality of the food more, like add spicy and salty flavors more. As add on, the Epitome has a wide area for its customers vehicle parking. I would recommend this place. 👌

Visited the epitome on Christmas (25th December 2020) ,and we were overwhelmed by the service we received..the buffets was awesome, food was awesome and scrumptious.I have visited so many restaurants (buffet) in Colombo but never expected a grand buffet to be in Kurunagala in this magnitude. Special thanks to the chef Attanayake and crew and the service staff.

This has a very stunning view both inside and out side. However, it feels like this premises need a finishing touch. Recently attended a wedding function. Served foods are delicious. 4/5 stars only because lack of coordination during the function like parking, utensil arrangement etc.

Visited their Cloud 9 Cafe and the food was really nice. Good service as well. The place was not very crowded and the ambiance also looks good. The portion size was good and value for money. We ordered a crispy burger and a sea food kottu. The burger was nice and had two or three huge pieces of crispy chicken. The seafood kottu was also very nice. Love the flavors. A good place for couples and also for a friends gathering. A good place in Kurunegala for a good family outing.

This might be the place you have been lacking in Kurunegala. I'm talling about the Restuarant, not the banquet hall which I dont have any experience. Resturant is thumbs up !!. Calm, quite, elegant place to have your family dinner out

Good place for a gathering. But they should improve their coordination in between their Departments. Banquet managers do not know what special arrangements are agreed upon by the customer and reservation managers… the list could go on.

Would like to recommend The Epitome for anyone as they’re excellent in their service. They’re very professional & quick in service. And special thanks for Mr Shalinda for his service & quick responses. And the hotel staff did what I exactly wanted just within 2 hours. I’d be really thankful to u all.
