Place is crowded on Mondays. Took close to 3 hours to get the medical certificate. Avoid Mondays if possible. Token numbers and applications are given according to seating order. So make sure to sit as close to the reception counter as possible. Thereafter, everything is done according to the token number. Doesn't matter how early you come there. Also, make sure to take a pen.

I went on saturday at 8.55 and came out at 9.35 with Medical Certificate.Good service gave and appriciated. In saturdays no crowded and very easy to get that sertificate.

if you go to the place early in the morning you can get the medical report nearly 10.00 am. But some medical professional work as they doing they job like "This is not their job. They are paid from another place." Actually not all only a few. Any way go early in the morning and keep attention when they calling your number.

It took me about 1 hour to get the medical. Before coming here, make sure to book an appointment online and come to the place 15 minutes earlier. The service is quite good. But, I think still a lot of things need to be improved. Here is how I got the medical: 1.) I came to the place 15 minutes before the appointment 2.) At the entrance they call for the name. The entrance is very crowded. So if you do not stay close enough, it is difficult to hear when they call your name. It would be great, if they can install a digital display to show the name and appointment time. 3.) Show the ID/ Online appointment proof to the reception counter and they will give a receipt with a number (This is your number for the whole process). 4.) A lady will measure the weight/ height and fill the receipt 5.) Next counter - They will inspect the previous driving license and the receipt. Then, a photo will be taken 6.) Cash counter - If you have already paid online, you can directly get the payment slip 7.) Next - A blood sample will be taken 8.) Now you have to wait a bit around the medical inspection room. A person will come and read your number loud and hand over the unfilled medical examination report (Pink Form). (This method has to be changed. It is very unprofessional and loud. They should definitely try to install a digital display to show the names and another counter should be installed to distribute the Pink Form. 9.) Then you have to go to the doctor's office. They usually take about 15-20 people once and ask everyone to do a few things (Raise hands/ Stand on toes and etc..) to identify physical conditions and then they check the eye conditions. (I think it's better if they inspect applicants one by one. Some of our procedures are still very old fashioned) 10.) Then you need to wait close to the counter number 7 till they provide the filled medical report. When they complete the medical report, they read the name loud. It is very difficult to hear the voice of the lady who is distributing the reports. Therefore, it is very crowded close to the counter. (This method is not suitable. I think it's better if they can install a digital display to show the list of completed applications. And then applicants can collect their report in a proper order.) Further, I think they should try to install some sign boards explaining the procedure clearly. However, in the current system, the staff is doing a good job. I hope the procedure will improve in future.

The place is heavily crowded in most days and there is no efficient way to handle the crowd. The only place To get the medical certification needed for acquiring the driving licence. So whether you like it or not be prepared to waste a day here if you need to get your license from Kurunegala.

This is the place you should go if you need to get a driving licence or to renew your driving licence. It is essential to get a medical report from this place even for a lightweight driving licence. They do several medical test to check your physical fitness and give a medical report. It takes time depends on the crowd on the date when you go. Anyway it's better to allocate minimum a half a day. Even though the location is well planned according to the process the typical delays of a government office is there. It is useless to expect customer service as by a private business.

This used to be Kurunegala's messiest government office. The officers are not friendly, and they lack interpersonal communication skills. But right now, everything is in order, and this office offers much more efficient service. The majority of the officers are currently behaving professionally.

Much crowded place. People in need of medical for the driving license are coming to this place. Usually there are around 500 people daily attending this place. If you are there by early morning it will be easier to take the report early. The staff is not that much friendly either they are not worst. Seems like systematic , but could be improved far more better way to perform much efficiently .

Even though there was a huge queue, they arw managing them quite well. I was able to get the report within one hour and that is amazing. I reserved the appointment via online and went there 30 minutes earlier. They check your hight and weight and issue a receipt with a reference number. Then directed towords room 3, where they check the documents and then send us to the lab for lab test to check blood sugar. Then they send you to another room to check your limb's fictionalality and finally eye sight. Then the report is issued at the room 7. Funny thing is they never check your blood pressure or hear fate, but they have updated the report with false values. Anyway I was impressed, with their service. Make sure to book online to get a quick service.

Washroom facilities are not available here, so it is compulsory for an institute like this.
