Think twice before going here. We have booked this hotel for a gathering, including four rooms. Hotel management accepted our booking, indicating that they could serve 14 people without an issue. They promised to give pool access and location around 2 PM. Unfortunately, the pool was muddy, and the place was not prepared. We had to carry tables and chairs to prepare the location. And we got pool access around 10 PM after cleaning. In addition to that, we had to go to the kitchen many times looking for our meals. When we tried to meet the management, they ignored us all day. Extremely unprofessional management. I am not recommending this hotel to anyone to visit. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This place is not recommended at all for anyone who seeks to spend some quality time. Let me begin with what they promised. They promised a one night stay for 14 people with uninterrupted pool access from 4pm onwards. Continuous food and drinks as much as we want till 7.30pm as it was a poya day, availability of any menu item and reserves place for hanging out ( the glass hall or the deck ). We reached the place around 2pm. No welcome drink, no person to welcome anyone nor to guide the visitors but a lady who was on the phone for quite a long time. The lobby washrooms are quite a mess and utterly disgusting which we turned back without using it. The rooms were not bad, but not the best too.... One of the rooms we received was full of mould on the walls which makes it almost unbreathable till we opened the doors. Best part is they have given the glass hall they promised us to some other crew and told us the deck was booked for us, which was fine, but we had to go across a wedding to the deck which made both us and the wedding participants uncomfortable and disturbed. The wedding crew and the people had to use the washroom in the deck we were booked for, which made us uncomfortable and all the ladies rom the wedding who had to go through 14 boys enjoying there moment. We went to the deck around 3pm which we then noted there were nothing at all setup, not at least a chair. we asked nicely multiple times from the management to arrange the setup, but ultimately we had to set it up on our own by bringing chairs and tables through really steep stair cases multiple times to four stories. We ordered 8kg of pork which they delivered four medium sized dishes saying there are 2kg pork in each dishes ( Clearly there was not ) and when we pointed out there are no 2 kilos in a single dish they said they have removed the bones and there's at least 1kg worth of bones removed from each dish which is hilarious. all other food we ordered were giving us the same opinion. We made up our mind to use the pool at least so we can have some drinks and have some fun, but they have given the pool to separate crew who just came in and they were dominating the whole pool till about 5pm and the pool looked so muddy. after we asked them ( nicely again ) they put some chemical in the pool and asked us to wait for 3 hours otherwise the pool will be extremely chemical and not good for the skin. so we had to wait till around 7 or 8 pm till we could use the pool. Finally the experience is utterly unpleasant which I do not recommend at all to anyone who are willing to spend your hard earned money for a place like this.

We left the hotel today and we have to report our office tomorrow otherwise we should stay here another day without a hesitation. We had a great, remarkable time there. Spacious clean rooms with AC and private balcony, friendly staff, nice swimming pool, delicious foods are impressed us. The hotel is about 8km away from the Kandy road but it was completely forget from our minds because of these valuable facilities. Thank you so much hotel staff and we will come back again....

Worst customer service that I have experienced. We had the check-in on 11th Aug. The staff didn't even bother to provide us a dining place. We had to carry chairs and arrange the dining area, and the staff didn't even bother to support us even by then. They have switched the rooms and gathering-hall we booked to less quality, smaller rooms. The food we ordered was delayed almost three hours. (We had placed the order 4 days prior.) The swimming pool was stinky and dirty. The pool they promised at the time of booking was a cleaner one.

This is one the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. We stayed here with our friends. Quality rooms and high quality service. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect. I had a great experience with the staff. Specially Ms. Lakni helped me from the beginning regarding the foods and services selection. Very reasonable prices and I will highly recommend this. Thank you so much for everything.

Went here for a function. Limited parking space for guests. Function hall is small. Air conditioning is poor. Food is ok. Swimming pool is available. Rooms are situated separately.

No Lagoon resort is there without Mr. Sidath Atipola. He is the main pillar. Such a nice, humble friendly person

A really nice stay.... the staff amazingly friendly and helpful... Food was exelent and need to improve vegitarian cusaines.. much attention to be kept to the cleanness of the pool... An unique hideout for those who need and comfortable stay for hikers seek for Alagalla as well .....

Stay away from this place at all costs!!! I am compelled to write this review due to a series of extremely disgusting situations me and my friends (14 people) faced during our stay at the Lagone Resort on Thursday the 11th of August. I must say, this is by far the worst hotel-stay experience I have had in my life. I had booked 4 rooms for me and my friends for a gathering on 11th of August, 2022. At the time of the booking, namely the following were promised to us by the manager of the Hotel Atipola. - Swimming pool cleaned and ready for us. - The glass room for me and my friends to consume alcohol - 4 rooms from the 5xx series where we were supposed to have the balconies with a nice view. To our surprise, we were not given any of the above as promised. - The pool was muddy and took 5hrs after we went there to clean and ready for us. - The glass room was given to another party and we had to go all the way to the up top and my friends had to carry tables and chairs and arrange ourselves. - the Rooms given to us were 4xx series and had no view what to ever. And small rooms. Such a rip off! - The food were not prepared on time. I had to go to the kitched and stay there nearly an hour to get all the food prepared. This was an extremely frustrating experience we had to face. At the end, we were given the bill with an insane amount. After all the hardships we had to face the so called Atipola didn't even bother to take responsibility and apologize even. I wouldn't recommend this Lagone Resort, Poththapitiya to anyone who is willing to have a nice solid experience. Worst experience i have ever had!

Marginal service, Upper car park is not enough. Even cannot handle a small car. Second floor car park has a Big hole in the Middle. Security person is Friendly and helpful

The hotel is located in beautiful place. Ambience is good. Rooms are very good, tidy and spacious. Hot water available. Service is very good and the staff is very friendly. Foods are ok and either one can order from the Menu or use the restaurant. Booking charges are reasonable compared to the places nearby with same standards.

Good place for a day out for a family.

This is one of my favorite places. Hotel has been built near a tea state. View is really beautiful and hotel itself is supurb. There have been divelopments in last few years therefore it has more facilities than before. The hotel has comfortable room, a bar, pool, banquet hall. the Staff is really friendly and professional and meal is really great. I didn't use the pool but i saw that it has been maintained properly.

Good. But customer care service is not supported. Specially Restaurant management. Reception desk should be improved. GM is ver kindly. We had a great check out but not had a warm check in. Good for budget holiday plans. The bar area is very disturbable.

It was a great stay, really pleasant and clean rooms; dining room for the breakfast was extremely nice. The other thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of staff were incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We would definitely stay here again in our next kandy visit as well. Thanks for making our visit that much better one.

Well maintained hotel. The available space is well managed. Rooms are spacious and services are good. The hill side view is good and the dining space is well planned. We enjoyed the stay here.

Worst experience ever!! Stay Away! When I visited Kandy, my friends had booked this place for our stay on 11th August. But, since the very moment we went inside, there was nothing but continuous disappointment! None of the things promised to us were not there. We had to literally wait near the kitchen to get our food prepared. And tables and chairs, we had to drag them all the way to the rooftop even though we were promised it was all well prepared. Very bad experience throughout. Stay Away!
