As
a
hotel
enthusiast,
I've
stayed
at
many
resorts
of
different
styles.
The
Buahan
Banyan
Tree
Escape
is
one
that
I
was
particularly
looking
forward
to.
Here
are
my
honest
and
objective
impressions
from
my
actual
stay:
Pros
(ordered
by
degree
of
uniqueness):
-
Excellent
location
and
innovative
concept.
The
concept
of
a
doorless
and
wall-less
hotel
is
the
signature
philosophy
and
greatest
innovation
of
this
hotel.
Located
in
the
tropical
rainforest
and
valley
area
of
northern
Bali,
the
hotel
is
very
secluded
and
hidden,
providing
an
excellent
retreat
and
a
very
close-to-nature
environment.
Each
villa
is
semi-open
design,
with
the
distant
jungle
and
volcano
unfolding
like
a
scroll.
Every
path
and
building
in
the
hotel
serves
the
idea
of
perfect
integration
with
nature,
so
the
presentation
of
the
Ubud
jungle
beauty
and
the
concept
of
escape
is
very
in
place
and
natural.
-
Excellent
service
level
and
on-call
rapid
response
service.
The
hotel's
service
is
a
bit
like
Aman's
style.
Each
guest
is
assigned
a
butler
who
is
always
responsive
to
your
needs,
and
all
the
service
staff
in
the
resort
will
remember
your
name.
If
you
have
any
needs,
you
can
ask
the
service
staff,
and
they
will
do
their
best
to
meet
your
needs.
-
The
attractions
and
activities
in
the
hotel
are
very
distinctive.
There
is
a
private
waterfall
and
private
rice
field
in
the
resort
for
hiking
and
sightseeing.
There
are
also
some
activities
that
are
very
characteristic
of
local
Bali,
such
as
making
local
dishes
with
the
chef,
making
spa
scrubs,
etc.
Cons
(ordered
by
degree
of
impact
on
the
experience):
-
The
maintenance
of
the
facilities
is
not
enough,
which
affects
the
living
experience.
This
hotel
was
built
in
2022,
and
compared
to
other
resort
hotels
in
Ubud,
it
is
relatively
new.
However,
the
hotel
is
obviously
not
doing
well
enough
in
terms
of
facility
maintenance,
and
many
pieces
of
furniture
already
show
obvious
signs
of
wear
and
tear.
When
I
checked
in,
the
outer
lighting
circuit
of
the
villa
was
damaged,
and
on
the
last
day,
the
Wifi
could
not
be
connected
(I
called
and
communicated
three
times,
the
service
response
was
still
very
fast,
but
each
time
it
could
not
be
connected
again
half
an
hour
after
the
repair),
and
the
bedside
lamp
would
keep
flashing
when
adjusted.
Although
the
outdoor
environment
will
increase
the
wear
and
tear
of
the
hotel,
this
kind
of
problem
that
greatly
affects
the
experience
should
not
appear
in
such
a
high-end
wilderness
luxury.
-
The
systematization
of
the
service
process
is
somewhat
chaotic.
Although
the
butler
and
service
staff
have
a
good
service
attitude
and
response
speed,
the
process
is
still
a
bit
chaotic.
The
mobile
phone
used
to
book
services
at
the
bedside
displays
someone
else's
name,
I
was
not
promptly
informed
that
the
activities
might
be
cancelled
due
to
rain,
and
the
coordination
of
the
service
staff
during
checkout
was
very
chaotic.
-
The
pool
does
not
have
a
heating
system.
The
private
pool
of
the
house
is
a
feature
of
the
hotel,
but
due
to
the
resort
being
built
on
a
mountain
leading
to
lower
temperatures,
the
water
in
the
pool
is
very
cold.
-
insect
control.
The
hotel
is
trying
to
control
the
number
of
mosquitoes,
but
due
to
the
open
design,
there
are
still
some
bugs
in
the
room,
but
overall
it
is
tolerable.
Guests
who
are
afraid
of
bugs
may
need
to
consider
this
point.
Overall,
the
quality
of
the
hotel
is
good,
but
there
are
still
significant
gaps
compared
to
Aman
and
Capella,
and
there
is
a
lot
of
room
for
improvement
and
enhancement
in
terms
of
facilities.
