Green guru Smoothie bowl bar was rated best smoothie bowls in Bali and I can understand why! Although the bar seemed unimpressive at first and I walked by at first, I am so glad I walked in. I ordered the Ghandi Bowl the first time and came back a week later to get it again. Not only are the smoothie bowls extremely delicious, they’re also decorated in such a loving and beautiful way, the portions are big and the staff is friendly. Everything is vegan and sugar free. Those who've made their own smoothie bowls before will understand the fine line between fruit temperature and recipe to achieve a good consistency and viscosity to the smoothie base. And the bowls here have a really good viscous base whilst still being cold. After trying bowls from cafe Organic (back when they were in canggu), cafe Vida, Penny lane.. and a few others I can't recall through the years, I have to say the bowls here are VERY original in their recipes . They stick to what they want to create, instead of conforming to the combinations that every other cafe is serving. Sure the price seems steep. But with no tax and service charge, you're actually paying a decent price for really good quality. Some smoothie-bowl-heroes don't wear capes, and Green Guru is definitely one of them. (p.s the granola is great. Not overtly sweet.)

Everything is homemade, the cashew butters, the granola, all of it! I have had a few bowls here in Canggu but this tops them all by far. The consistency stays cold and thick until the end, never runny and super delicious until the last bite. Must have!

Been here two days in a row after arriving in Canggu from Phillipines (Siargao and Moalboal for a month) where I ate smoothies Bowes everyday. We’ve tried the holy berry, yoda and Ghandi - all super tasty, portions are reasonable (don’t be fooled by the ridiculous large wooden bowls) and price comparable. Their muesli is a standout and homemade peanut butter was amazing! I prefer eating smoothie bowls at these type of places that specialise in them rather than at a cafe with a smoothie bowl amongst a myriad of other stuff. Staff and service also great - highly recommend and will probably come back to test the entire menu.

Had the holly berry bowl, i would not recommend it. There were some frozen fruits, and not many fresh ones. The portion was smaller than I had in Bali before even tho it seems big on the pictures and for 80K pretty expensive. It’s located at a super noisy street and sitting there makes also no fun, because you can’t even talk to each other.

If you are crawing smoothie bowls and dont know where, Green Guru is THE place to go. Solid bowls and good prices. Only thing is that the served Açaí is not pure but mixed with berries.

Unfortunately they didn't have two of the bowls I wanted which was a bit disappointing, so I went for something different . It was still real nice ! We had the dragon fruit Smoothie bowl and pina colado . I asked to swap orange juice in the dragon fruit bowl to coconut milk instead, they said they couldn't as from what I understood, the Smoothie mixed are pre made elsewhere and brought to the shop . The bowls are super cool and huge but they are a bit deceiving as the actual Smoothie bowl content is a similar size to other places that use smaller bowls.

We went today to Green Guru. We ordered Ghandi first as hubby and I both enjoy peanut butter and we really loved it. The second bowl we ordered was on Arta's ( the guy who prepared our bowls) recommendation acai Hello berry ( acai bowl) - we did not taste much acai in it and did not like it either. It was too sour and nothing new in it except pili nuts. I can make that at home I felt. At first the prices sounds bit expensive but when they came out size is double compared to most other places - amazing portion size. Bowls are not as deep as they look and are very artistic but they are still bigger than every other bowl we have eaten. We highly recommend everyone to visit this tiny locally owned place. Another note we like to mention- originally only Arta ( the guy) was making bowls then a lady joined him. She actually combed her hair in the backyard just before entering preparation area and had hair all over her shirt. That kinda also put me off eating my acai bowl. Also I was glad she was not preparing our bowls. Don't get me wrong, I just can't handle having hair around food and it's not hygienic. When I told them quietly about the hair on her shirt, both of them started clearing them with their bare hands in the preparation area itself rather than going away in the back or something.
