The name says vegetarian/vegan but I'm almost certain it's 100% vegan. We were so pleased with the tasty, fresh-made food and friendly service that we made a point to go back the next day for a takeaway lunch before heading off to the airport. Raflo gave us his mobile so we could place our order with WhatsApp, then he had it ready exactly 2 minutes earlier than the 25 minutes he quoted. He was so kind and genuine too. When we dined in he invited us to choose a game to play while we waited for our food, and to have a look at the lovely collection of Buddhas in the showroom. We had the jackfruit steak (unique, tasty, and served sizzling on a cast iron skillet), mouthwatering fried aubergines (ask for a side of chili sauce because it's so good), spicy potatoes, and pepper noodle (Yup we were hungry!) Then the curry noodle (okay but not super flavorful), potato wedges (fresh & tasty), and sweet & sour tofu/tempe (delicious). We'll certainly be back next time we're in Kuta!

This place has quite the charm with it's Balinese decor and numerous large landscape paintings. Very friendly staff, asked if it was my first time here and whether I was veg, and then gave me a Google map link of a bunch of veg places to eat at here, much more than shows up on Google. Thanks! I'm glad to return here, it's actually one of the best vegan restaurants in Bali. They have so many different options... (About 140ish looking through the menu, with pictures), the price is cheap (25-50k) and the food is flavorful If you're drowning in options, just ask for recommendations, so far everything I've tried has been really good and I'd recommend anything pictured The only reason I haven't been here a whole lot is because it's a little out of the way. Definitely go here after you land, as it's very close to the airport

Amazing food and great service. One of the only places we’ve been that gives water with the order. No plastic. The only trouble is that the prices charged are not the same as they are listed on the menu. But there are about 40 items manually adjusted so we think it’s a honest discrepancy and not trickery. It does make it hard to budget if you only have so much cash though. Definitely recommend

Got a takeaway from Mai3 vegan and it was amazing! The sweet and sour tofu was the best meal I’ve had in Bali! We told some friends about it and got people involved in another takeaway in our hostel tonight!! Amazing value for a big dish of food filled to the top of the box and we were super full after a dish and sharing some spring rolls! Also the best flakey spring rolls in Bali! A must get :)

This place is hidden away but is soooo delicious that you have to come check it out. This is the first place we came to when we landed in Bali and we made sure it was the last place we ate at on our way out. The staff here is also the most polite we've encountered in all of Bali. The food is home cooked and you can't go wrong with any dish. Also, the prices are so cheap. We stuffed ourselves and still barely broke the bank.

Location is convenient, near to Airport. Food was amazing. A different variant from what you usually find in Bali. Also, the food are mainly homemade and you could taste the effort of the chefs while you are eating. Love the place and will definitely come again.

Really delicious food. I ordered mapo tofu, noodles with gyoza and orang juice. They were amazing. In addition they also give you free ice water and you may refill it. Place is really huge and has a great ambience. If anyone is looking for a vegan restaurant to dine in Bali or especially people living in Kuta area, I'd recommend you to come here. Definitely coming back again to try another dish. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing food! I’m neither vegetarian nor vegan, but I highly recommend Mai3 to anyone regardless of your dietary preferences. The food is simply delicious. I can’t recall the name of the dish I had, but it was a fried mushroom covered in a sweet sauce. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is also exceptional. The man who waited on us (who I think is the owner?) even gave us a huge list of other vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the area to try. I wish we were in the area longer, as I find myself frequently wanting to go eat here again. 10/10

We had lunch in this small cafe that prepares very fresh food without onion and garlic. The owner is super nice and all the food was delicious and ecomically priced. They make all food fresh. Really enjoyed the taste and will come back for more.

It was lovely and authentic . Tofu teriyaki was amazing. To be honest Bali has some amazing veggie places. It is in a little hidden so look out for it. It’s on a main road and there is food carts outside of it. So don’t miss the turning. It’s looks like a hotel entrance. Great service and humble staff. Price so reasonable starting 20-50k for food. My husband and I will come back here.

BEST PLANT- BASED FOODS around Legian. They have a lot of various menus. I’ve tried some of them, vegan kungpao, mapo tofu, mala dumplings, spicy mala xiangguo, spicy tempeh caramel. All of them are super tasty!! Their mala sauce definitely awesome, got me addicted to it. The prices are affordable, one portion can be shared for 2. The restaurant is very small, actually doesn’t look like a restaurant. I think people tend to enjoy it via gofood or take away. To conclude, the foods are highly recommended, however the place is only recommended for a small group of people to dine in. And don’t expect for a cozy young modern vibes. They only play Buddhist chanting to fill the atmosphere.

Only need 2 photos to show the quality of the food we have here at Mai3. Ambience is zen and you can sit down relax over good food and drinks. Friendly kind boss sharing Bali attractions with us. Recommended to try their homemade noodles made from Spinach & pumpkin & Sweet potato. With their sauce and chili, that dish is a killer. Nasi Betutu as per the photo, is a uniquely freshly made fried rice wrap in a banana leaf. Savoury delicious. Most importantly, the boss shares with us a Google Group list that indicate all the vegetarian stalls in Bali. Deeply appreciated.

One of the vegetarian restaurant in Bali that provide different variant of food. I tried Nasi Betutu, very rich in spices and the rice wrapped inside banana leaves before it baked, make the strong aroma of the leaves could be tasted when you eat the rice. Moreover, the place is very close from Ngurah Rai Airport, so in will become one of your favourite spot before you depart from Bali or After you landed in Bali. πŸ˜‹

The foods are healthy and delicious, the price are also reasonable (just the 16% tax is quite unreasonable for home style restaurant) The interior is so-so but relaxing, we must take off our shoes if we want enter the room. I forgot to check if they have WiFi or not... the staff can speak English. Overall I like it and will come again to try different menus

A good homey place for our first day in Bali, close to the airport. A full vegan menu priced accordingly, but still very affordable. Don't underestimate the spiciness, even a 1 out of 6 ruffled our white feathers (although the sweet sauce helps!) We got the: - Momoza Noodle (good, but the spicy offender) - Roasted Betutu Rice (it was okay - tofu was nicer than tempeh) - Crispy Baby Corn (good with ketchup) - Watermelon juice (yep, good!) 140K in total. Overall recommended! Cheers!

Really nice vegan food. The staff is super friendly and happy to start a conversation. Most of the food is home-made which is a big plus! (Especially for the usually processed food, it's great to know how they make it in details and fresh) Tasty, not expensive, lots of choices, that's a good find! Support this place.

Nice environment and very tasty food with reasonable price. I like the details of their decor and furniture. It's impressive that the ingredients such as mock meat are made in house instead of being produced by some unknown factories. I ordered a rice dish and a beef dish along a Jagon fruit juice. It costs around 120k. I didn't finish the food and got it packed and finished at the Airport. Highly recommended. I would love to go there again in future.

Nasi Bakar Betutu, Orange Sauce Mushroom Rice Bowl, Fu Yung Hai Tofu was my selections. It was sort of delivering slow food experience, since the flavor of the food crafted with bold seasonings or the indonesians called it "berani bumbu", in addition to its calming ambience making you no rush to savour the zest. Its signature Nasi Bakar Betutu portion was made for two for a not so big eater, and its roasting technique with leaf really brings out various spices came to life (i enjoy turmeric, lemongrass, and aromatic ginger bold scent). Orange sauce mushroom was a bit sour rather than sweet, but when its combined with sweet sauce from fu yung hai, it balanced perfectly. I think they did not sauteed their Pok Coy with garlic, but a mere sesame oil. Winning notes for me was their signature winter melon tea, it was so refreshing and i think it was my first time trying out winter melon beverages. Never even knew such thing existed before. Bought additional bottle for take out! Thank you Kevin, you were also very inviting and kind when explaining the dishes. It would be the first of many visits for me.

One of the few plant-based restaurants in Tuban. Cozy and zen atmosphere. There is quite a bit of seitan and soy substitute options here, along with the regular tempeh and tofu. The jackfruit steak was my favorite - if you let it cook a bit longer on the hot plate, it will get nicely fried. Food tends to be on the spicy side. I recommend the wintermelon tea/juice at the end for a cooling effect (I believe it is Chinese). Nice staff.

My friend and I went for dinner. The place looks a little questionable but the food was incredible. Despite it being empty except for us, there was a bit of a wait on food but that was a result of the constant online takeaway orders. There was only 2 people we could see, both were cooking the food, so service was a little slow. But well worth it. The menu is insanely long and detailed with various different cuisines variations, all of which are vegetarian or vegan. Some things were out of stock but that was maybe 5% of the entire menu.

Restaurant is stuffy and some of the tables are not cleaned. No one attended to me despite me standing at the counter ready to place my order. Boss is aloof and gives off unfriendly vibes. Food was ok, service disappointing. We asked to sit outside and got a "no". We asked again and than they "realized" it to sit outside. We was the only guests. We had noodles which was ok but we had a thick black hair inside. Ok, it an happens. We asked for a lime and got the second "no". We ordered a water and got a bottle without glasses. At the end they charge 15% "tax". Why only the expensive restaurants charge this tax? Why they don't just write the real price in the menu? We have eaten in hundreds of street food shops and not one of them take a "tax". That just let you feel ripped off. Sorry, can't recommend this place.
