Excellent service from the host and the waitresses. Always helpful and gives informative recommendations. Unfortunately the modern Japanese Fusion cuisines are a little bit off. Hokkaido scallop are thinly cut, when tasted, it loses the springy texture that comes with scallop and thus lost its sweetness as well. (Again its just a matter of preference, as hokkaido scallop meats are usually famous for its texture) The sushi rolls are standard lacking WOW factor for such an establishment.

Probably our favorite restaurant. Freshest sushi I have found in Indonesia. I’ve lived here for 8 years. Jakarta, Surabaya can’t compete. True scallops. Not stingray wings or other fakes. Red snapper was delicious. My wife had the steak which was cooked perfectly. The spicy tuna roll was tasty but put together differently than others I’ve had. Not a complaint, just different. Drinks are very nice. Gin and tonic is my go-to and there a few gins to choose from. Ambiance is nice, quiet.

Top-notch quality of food. Definitely a Michelin level. We live in New York and have been too many fine dining restaurant in the world. Indigo completely surprised us as it’s not very well known. (Thank god we found it on google map) We came at lunch time and it was quite slow and quiet. Service was very attentive and every single dish we ordered was just, wow!!! We did double lunch to try as much food as we could and it was still not enough. Sadly they do not provide any beef dish at lunch, only at dinner. Cocktails were also really good. The toilet, is five star hotel level! Extremely clean and well maintained. Our dining experience at Indigo would go to the top three restaurants in Bali.

Overall the food quality is alright but were expecting much more since the hype of the resto is high. Service: waiters were kind & nice usual good balinese ppl. However the serving was very slow specially the tables are not many and their chefs are a lot. Took them about 40mins to serve sushi & sashimi 😔

We were in Bali for 10 days and 5 out of 10 days we were eating at Indigo because it is exceptional! The service, the quality of the food, the preparation of the food is authentic and shows the passion of the owners/chef, both from Japan (Kyoto/Lake Biwa I think). Can't say enough good things about Indigo and if you are in Bali this is a must eat if you love Japanese - and their Japanese drink list, including delicious sake, is fantastic. Indigo is a must go place in Bali! I come here all the time when I live in Berawa and can't believe I haven't give them my review. The food is excellent, the service is superb and ambience is aahmaziiiingg!! Ms Shiori is one amazing manager and Chef Shige are the power couple that keep this restaurant a TOP NOTCH one ♥️. If only they are in Ubud I will be sure to go there at least weekly. I can't explain enough about the cuisine but my photos will. That's how often I ate there. Very very very recommended! Tuna in a crisp tart shell, as a complimentary amuse bouche to start with. Then I ordered new style salmon sashimi, which is salmon sashimi with light dressing. Fresh! Dining in for two, I did not order sushi rolls and more focused on their Chirashi and Yakimono. For the Chirashi, I went with the Moriawase : a bed of rice with diced salmon, tuna, prawn, red snapper, ikura and tamago. Indigo has a knack for keeping the balance and serving size just right. At last, the Grain Fed Angus Tenderloin became the highlight of the night. We were intrigued by the wasabi sauce for the tenderloin. Then for dessert, matcha creme brulee was the chose one. It was creamy and satisfying.

Food was nice, I’d recommend getting the bento set for “worthier” price. Service was slow and the place was fully packed when I came. So make sure to reserve first before you dine-in.

The prices are higher than other places but not so much more so and the difference in quality makes it more than worth it. We ate upstairs which was quieter since we had our son with us but the downstairs is more lively. The decor and atmosphere is elegant yet subdued, the music was the perfect volume to allow you to talk but not clearly hear the neighboring tables. We tried a variety of tools and honestly they were all good, it's happily order seconds of I could still eat. They had alohloh juice which tasted like guava but a little more earthy and it was very refreshing, I preferred it to my wine to tell you the truth. Indigo is not your every day dining spot but if you like sushi, it's worth a visit every now and then when you want to splurge a bit

Outstanding contemporary Japanese food. Such delicate flavours exacuted extremely well. Service was attentive and polite. Cocktails weren't a highlight. We got placed upstairs, assuming because we had a baby. Other families upstairs and older kids on loud tablets which wasn't great, but not the restaurants fault. Much better atomosphere and vibe downstairs. Best meal in Bali yet.

We got a selection of sushi rolls and found the sushi to be standard but anything close to a Michelin level or the hype that this place has in this area. That said, the ambience is lovely and the service was top notch. A free non alcoholic drink and snack was provided which was a nice touch. The sake they recommended and the lobster roll were our favourite parts.

Very strange attitude from staff... because of covid all the restaurants have to be closed at 9 p.m. But this restaurant without any notice (it's common practice to notify your clients about working hours when you respect your clients) stop to serve clients at 7.45 p.m. So we just loose our time getting there to see unfriendly and rude staff saying that they can't give us a table, it was said with such face, that we won't evere come here. Avoid.

My girl friend & I were totally disappointed. We made reservation and was told only sushi bar was available as they were fully booked. We were the only customers when we arrived and when we left, only 3 tables out of apx 30tables. Food were not as written on the menu, very small quantity and very expensive compare to same quality in compatible places. A simple soup like miso doesnt taste authentic at all. Will not come back. NOT RECOMMENDED
