Bali MMA has pretty much changed my life! Best gym I have ever trained at. The atmosphere in the gym is like no other, it genuinely is one big family. Very welcoming coaches & highly talented coaches, immaculate facilities, what more could you ask for. One year later and still going strong!! 10/10

Not good. Unfortunately. I do understand COVID has been tough and business is trying to pick up but: 1. Muay Thai section is very small. Classes are overcrowded you can barely move. Bags are too close to the wall. There was like 25 people in one class I attended. 2. Trainers don’t have time to focus on students given the sheer amount of people joining classes. 3. People are shirtless, sweat everywhere. I saw a guy slipping because of the amount of sweat on the floor…. 4. I’ve trained in Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore. Bali MMA is probably the worse amongst all unfortunately. It’s not Muay Thai that’s being taught - it’s fitness kickboxing. The warm up is very long. You get 3 rounds with an allocated trainer which is nice but. Techniques taught are very basic yet the crowd is a mixed 5. Feels very factory like. Like I said, expect to see a LOT of people. I went there twice and probably won’t be going a 3rd time. Reception is very nice though. 6. I would also ask students joining next class to wait outside… so many were sitting on the floor waiting for next class. Literally adds 20 people. I swear there was like 50 people at one point. I’m sure other classes are better equipped but the Muay Thai is not proper Muay Thai. Take it as fitness. If you don’t mind being around 20 shirtless guys with 25 yo being the average age then go for it. I probably would limit the number of students per class but then I also understand the business needs to cash in after a damaging period of COVID. Tough call.

If you never did any fighting training you should go here. They have some beginner friendly courses with great coaches and a really broad offer of courses. The training is amazing and is something for everbody, even kids. If you are fighting and want to keep up you training during a holiday or even want to spent some time here as a camp, do it! Bali MMA is in the game for many years now, winning tournaments and titles in asia, gaining more and more fame and with out pro fighters, pro trainers and more experience every time. The atmosphere is very friendly, between staff and other guests.

An amazing place with exceptional coaches. Walked into Bali MMA 8 months ago and it absolutely been a life changer on so many different levels. Community-oriented and authentic which, in my eyes, are key qualities for a champion-making academy. Trained by fighters who love this art and are highly patient and skilled. Very grateful for Bali MMA and all the people in it.

Big space, cool facilities and the ice bath are class was fantastic. Tried both No-gi and gi (rented one for only 50k IDR). Good coaches and most training partners were friendly. Lots of people just dropping in.

Excellent gym to get your striking (boxing, Muay Thai) & grappling games on. It's not cheap, but the quality of training matches the cost. Facilities are on point, you have a cage, ring, spacious areas, & a superb grappling area. They're well maintained & cleaned after evey session. You also have access to their cold bath & sauna. Despite the number of practitioners, I never had to line up for showers too, so I think what they have is sufficient Classes always seem packed. Not much of an issue from the Mua Thai one I got to try since there are a lot of pad holders, but the it may be a little harder for the BJJ instructor to focus each beginners' technique as BJJ can be detail oriented. Speaking of instructors, they're all top quality.

Good price for happy hour and free towel use. Water of the Swimming pool is cleaner now. However, the brand of the training equipment is not the high standard one and rather to be poor standard. Air conditioning is not working properly often. One thing I really don’t like is there are too many gay people and few females working out in this gym and feel very uncomfortable...

I am giving this review in regards of my friend who did muay thai training there couple weeks ago. Some few local balinese trainers are interested in teaching the students the right techniques. Unfortunately, the training ends often 30-20 min earlier than expected. This is not good. Further, Mike (the boss) is the only guy who really approaches students and corrects the mistakes. Other trainers should do the same. It would be great when the management could react to this review, because some of my friends are coming in the future to Bali and are interested to learn Muay Thai or boxing as well. I would like to recommend your place to them. Thanks

Highly recommended!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very skilled and experienced coaches combined with super nice training partners which just makes training fun even it's tough at times! 💪🏻💪🏻 Here is a must go for every Lover of Martial Arts from beginner to professional fighters! Bali MMA has group classes for every level but also offer one by one classes! 🤩 From 🏋🏻‍♀️ Strength and Conditioning classes over 🥋 BJJ (Gi and NoGi) to 🥊 Striking (Muay Thai and Boxing) they cover everyone's needs and round it up with the most useful Mobility class for active recovery 💫😌 They rent and sell Gi's and other FighterGear like Gloves and stuff to give you no excuse to not to train 😂😂 What i also love about that place is that they have a great cleaning team which go with tanks on their back filled with disinfectant and spray they whole ground and mop it after every class! They're always ready if they're needed! The toilet paper, soap in the showers and at the sink are never empty! 😃☺️👍🏻👍🏻 What else can I say, I love the vibe and people there, it's my second home with family members all over the world 🌎 ❤️ 🏝

I train Bjj at Bali MMA since 2018 and my son since 2016. It became a part of our life, a family, a 2nd home. The incredible schedule spread Bjj classes all over the day. From early bird at 7:30 am until the evening classes at 6pm Also addressing all levels from Fundies for beginners to all levels where many advanced practitioners showing up. 3 Black belts who sharing all those classes are providing great knowledge, and learning from 3 different top guys is really a great advantage. I also need to point out their kids program, for sure the best of the island, my son loves it and want to train and be at Bali MMA every day. So if you think about train Bjj in Bali, Bali MMA is for sure the place you want to check out!

Bali MMA was one of the main reasons I moved to Bali. I had trained BJJ for a couple of years in a couple other countries and when it was time to come home to Indonesia, Bali MMA sealed the deal for me to settle in Bali. The coaches are highly skilled and experienced yet they are probably the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The grappling area is spacious tho sometimes it gets crowded too (yes that's how popular they are). I have tried the Muay Thai class too and was trained by professional fighters who paid attention to details. The Mobility & Flexibility class is an amazing supplement to my training and recovery as well, led by experienced instructors who adjust to different people's needs and limitations. They also have full racks of weights to use for strengthening & conditioning. I also love the sense of community that is built upon all sorts of people from different backgrounds and paths of life. P.S. Now they have BJJ womens only class too that is super beginner friendly!

Training at Bali MMA is amazing. The staff and fellow students here are super friendly and made me feel like I belonged right away. All the coaches at Bali MMA are top-notch. They make you feel very welcome, even if you’ve never done martial arts before. Each coach is awesome at what they teach and make sure you learn, whether you're a beginner or experienced fighter. The boxing class is amazing. Evgeni is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. His method of teaching is next-level and I’ve learned so much from him. Kendall and Toriq’s Muay Thai classes are excellent and teach a lot of traditional Thai techniques. Their morning classes are a great workout, too! The brothers Anthony and Andrew teach awesome jiu-jitsu classes. I especially liked Andrew’s no-gi classes because it incorporates a lot of wrestling drills and moves. The gym itself is fantastic! They offer Muay Thai, boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, no-gi, and sparring classes. There’s lots of classes at different times, so you can train almost any time of day. The gym is very well-equipped with a full-size boxing ring, pro MMA cage, large air-conditioned grappling room, and lots of heavy bags. It’s also very clean and the training areas are sanitized after each and every class. They also have an ice bath, sauna room, and showers at the gym. One of my favorite things is the community. I’ve so met so many cool coaches and people from all around the world, and we all pushed each other to get better. Plus, being in Bali is awesome. After a hard workout, you can brave the ice bath at the gym, go for a swim at your hotel pool, or just jump into ocean at the beach! If you're into martial arts or just want a great place to workout in Bali, you gotta got to Bali MMA. It's a five-star gym all around!

Gym is big and well equiped, ventilation system also works fine just it's overcrowded. Could you extend closing hours 1 to 2 h? It's closing now at 7 pm. Would be great if it's working till 8 or 9 pm. I came last time at 6 pm and it was around 30-40 people. All stations were busy and it's quite frustrating.

An amazing facility and place for anyone who looks and seeks to do a Muay Thai / Boxing / BJJ / Strength and Mobility class. Anyone can train here, from any level. It can be your first time doing it and you still get the understanding of the class. Great reception from the staffs and they also rent / sell equipments. Absolute a must visit.

Yes its a good place. I attended the boxing classes, muay thai and mobility. They where all really fun and proper. Not a training camp like you find in thailand, more like an urban gym. But lots of stuff goin on behind the scenes was my impression so if you are serious about fighting let them know what you are looking for. I would have liked some evening classes, other that nothing to complain about. Thank you Bali MMA🙏👊🙏

We went here for Jiujitsu only. Good teaching from all the coaches. They have air-conditioning to help with the heat. The mats are a bit harsh on the feet but if you just harden up it shouldn't be a problem! They are currently building more shower facilities which will be a welcome addition. They also have 2 ice baths which were great. I did notice some of the younger Jiujitsu clientele ignoring the sign and using without showering first some days though

Best training center. All the coaches are highly talented. And no matter how many times u ask ur doubts they are always their to clear ur doubts. Great facility. It's not just training center. I felt like I found a big family, a new home away from my own home. The best training regime I have ever seen. It's best for fitness as well as for fighters. They focus on every small detail. I was skeptical before coming here though I was planning since very long for training at Bali MMA. But now I don't want to leave Bali MMA.

Wow!! Bali MMA Gym!! What can I say!!?? If you’re really looking to be better in the martial arts craft ( whether it’s boxing, Muay Thai or BJJ) or just trying to stay or get in shape and be pushed to ur full fitness potential, this is the place to be. Bali MMA is the most intense gym I’ve ever trained at. Every coach/ Khru/ pad holder I worked with was a treasure to work with. So knowledgeable in their craft,so kind yet tough in the most needing way. Never forgetting to have fun while smashing things! Motivating and pushing me to a level I’ve never been pushed to. I’ve never sweated so much in my entire life. I’m definitely Taking everything I learned here at Bali MMA back home with me to NYC to incorporate it with what my coaches back home taught me. As a whole, this gym was such a great experience, making my first visit to Bali Indonesia so memorable, I made sure I was in that gym 6 out of the 7 days (sometimes multiple hours)of the week for the whole month I was here. Why? Where do I start? Evgeni, my guy!!! I said on numerous occasions to his face, I love this man! His attention to detail, specifics to the minor movements, showing me they’re just as important. Evgeni’s boxing accuracy is such an influence on me and has helped me so much in such a short period of time. I made sure to record every private session to look back and correct myself. Seeing the changes I’ve made in movement & skill due to his coaching, I beyond appreciate it. Definitely that coach you want coaching you, tough as nails but with a spirit so kind. Evgeni is the definition of a coaching king, from PT’s to classes that man gonna put you to work. Kendals sweet personality with a bomb playlist of old school HipHop, French trap( I’m now put on to)current/ old school rap, current trap, old school soul/ funk will definitely get you hype while training. Along with his calming demeanor when teaching Muay Thai class made me feel at ease as he kicked all of our butts. PT’s and class was so warming and educational. Every coach/Khru / pad holder I had the pleasure of coming across at this gym was so amazing. From Aldo, Mechai, Toriq, Endra etc, I was pushed to limits of improvement and I’m forever grateful. Along with this gym, came so many different beautiful souls. From the front desk to the members I got to interact with, whether they were there for holiday, regular members at the gym, or one of the amazing fighters for the gym (shout outs to the incredibly cool Antoine) my interactions were so beautiful and everlasting, thank you Mr cool, down to earth, coach Ryan. To the owners, my fellow New Yorkers Andrew Leone (a beautiful soul, always kindly showing the lil kids the bjj ropes) Don Carlo welcoming spirits. Major thank you to the Leone brothers & Don Carlo Clauss for creating a warm, welcoming and educational experience for everyone, no matter the gender, age, size or race all is welcomed with open arms at Bali MMA. No ego trips, no disrespectful behavior, just beautiful vibes (staff, fighters, pad holders, khru’s/coaches& members equally)and knowledgeable athletes. Until next year, cuz I’m definitely coming back. Sorry for the long review, but everyone needs to know this gym is the real deal. Thank you to the best gym I’ve ever attended, Bali MMA. Much Love, from G.

Really good gym, good trainers and nice training buddies. I myself train about 5-7 times a week and this gym works really well for an active athlete and I recommend it with a big heart. The staff is friendly and helped me get a ride to the hotel once when my phone didn't work.

Bali MMA is a high quality fighting gym. The different types of training given by good trainers allowed me to improve my skills in a short time. Both the fighting classes and the gym classes are well structured, I had such a good time that it was almost addictive to be there all day. The price fully reflects all the facilities the gym has to offer; it is always clean thanks to a group of super employees. There is all the equipment needed, including ring and cage. There are showers, an ice bath and sauna for quick recovery. There is also an open gym for strength training, for example. Thank you to all the staff and trainers, if I come back to Bali I will definitely come back to Bali MMA!

Look it's got decent suite of equipment but can the owner sort out basics like Towels.. I see daily how staff gets abused to to a lack of basics, like towels, it's not.a rare occurrence but daily, is it to much to ask since we pay a membership fee? Secondly another aircon can make.it a better experience.. it's gets too hot to do any form of cardio properly.

Summary: Bali mma is a hard NO unless you desperately need to roll (practice Brazilian jiu jitsu) or you are a tourist who just wants the experience and Instagram photos. This is a combination of 3 different people's experiences, myself and 2 friends. I did primarily striking, my 2 friends primarily did bjj. The bad: -Not worth it for striking alone, the classes are beginner level, totally out of proportion to what they charge. -Striking classes waste a lot of time on cardio and ABZ (abdominals). -Overpriced gym fees. -Extremely crowded in the striking area, they need to put a limit on how many people can take a class. -Gym apparel prices are insane, a shame because I love to buy gear from gyms I go to. -Private Coaching rates are absurd, about 50 to 70$ usd per hour; you can have privates with Manachai in Bangkok for the same price! The good: -The head striking coaches, I don't remember their names, 1 was kiwi and the other American, were great when I had the chance to do pad work with them. They really know their craft. -My friends were cool with the bjj classes. Keep in mind that these guys are obsessed bjj nerds who roll everywhere they go and would be happy rolling on a mat on the floor of the Wuhan wet market. It doesn't take much to please them. -All the instructors have a lot of experience -Good size mat area in the grappling room I'd give it 2 stars, my friends 4, that results in 3 stars.

While the facilities and services offered by this gym are top-notch, I am disappointed by their policies regarding membership refunds or changes in cases of injury. As humans, accidents can happen, and I believe it would be more empathetic and responsible for a successful business like this to reconsider their policies for such situations. Let's strive for a fitness community that not only promotes physical health but also cares for its members' well-being.

The gym is very nice in terms of facilities. Great for solo workouts. However, we cannot recommend the personal training. We had scheduled a training session for our arrival day, but our flight was delayed, and we were stuck in traffic. We contacted the gym in advance and tried to reschedule, but they couldn't accommodate. So we arrived 20 minutes late for the training. They charged us for the full session, which ended exactly at 8 PM. During the session, the staff started cleaning, making the mats wet and slippery. The trainer seemed inexperienced and had a very low pad-holding frequency. At the end of the session, he didn't even wait for us to pack our things, he just left. We shared our feedback via WhatsApp, but the response wasn't helpful. They basically said, "If you want more pad work, you have to book two trainers," which was not our concern at any point. Their other argument was, "The gym closes at 8 PM." Okay, but they still had time to sell us T-shirts. Overall, very disappointing considering our high expectations. Fortunately, there's another excellent gym just around the corner. Unfortunately, this gym lacks the carefree atmosphere and warmth we expected. Very disappointing!

I have been going to this gym for a few weeks now and appreciate how accommodating the staff are. I am typically very particular about the gyms I choose to train at but have been loving Louis and friends. Equipment is clean, towels, protein shakes are provided if needed, a fun outside area, and it ultimately has been a safe environment to train and become a better version of myself. Sometimes I feel intimidated at gyms. I don’t feel that here

This gym is a Covid hotspot. It's very compact and the machines are extremely close together. They barely clean them. I felt extremely uncomfortable here. It should be closed or they need to spread out the machines more. They also need to limit the amount of people. It's more of a poser gym than a place you'd go to get avoid workout. Avoid until the pandemic is over! It's places like this that will postpone the reopening of Bali to foreigners.

With that price you can get good facilities included pool. The bad things about this fitness center is the towel. Their towel didn't absorbing water well. They should change the towel!

  • 3/5 James F. 3 years ago on Google
It's got very good equipment and I really enjoy to use it. The happy hour price is good and lots of promos on right now on the monthly memberships. The towels are good but sometimes they are made of nylon which isn't practical for sweat. The worst part of all is the air conditioning, it's basicallt never that cold inside. Every so often things get even worse, they don't have enough air conditioners and the ones they have don't work well. I hope they can fix this soon!

(Translated by Google) The gym is complete and new, there are swimming pool facilities, you are given new towels every time you come, free drinking water, there are additional classes too every day. Unfortunately the gym is a bit hot (the air conditioner is not cold enough). (Original) Alat gym nya lengkap dan baru, ada fasilitas kolam renang, diberi handuk baru setiap kali datang, gratis air minum, ada kelas-kelas tambahan juga setiap harinya. Modern equipment, wide fitness area and there is pool and sauna as well. Unfortunately I had to stop my membership there. Bcs one of the staff (male) offer me to extend my membership by just paying him half of the actual price (IDR 300.000). I told to the other staff about that but never get any feedback or even an apologize. I start thinking maybe its usual for them. But I dont know? Anw Its a good gym after all.

Best MMA school in Bali. The trainers speak very good english and even the guys for the padwork are communicating well. There is a Muay Thai, a Jiu Jitsu class and a classic boxing class. At least during corona times it is those three. There is a schedule and classes take place every day. Very good hygiene as well. Defenetly check out the fanshop for clothing.

Having lived in and around Asia for the last 10 years i have trained in quite a few locations. If you are into MMA or not and just want to give it a go then look no further. All the team down there are awesome.... no matter what level you are, you are welcome. I have done boxing for the last couple of years there having done some in Thailand before. A few months ago i tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and am now hooked. Shout out to Mike, Don, the Leone bro's, Luke, John..... the list goes on!! However long you are in Bali you have to come check this place out. Open everyday with more classes and times than you will be physically able to do.

Bought the day pass and did two session of bjj. Professor Anthony is a professional and experienced coach. If you are a bjj or mma enthusiast and like to challenge yourself, this is the gym to be at when visiting Bali.

Bali MMA is the BEST placed I have trained at for Muay Thai. I love the MT, boxing, yoga and strength classes. All the trainers are great and spend the time to teach you and improve your technique. The vibe of the gym is very welcoming to everyone at all training levels. I would only train here when in Bali. Every class is well structured and a good amount of pad work on the MT classes.

Hands down the best gym I’ve ever trained at, All the trainers are top quality. The gym atmosphere is extremely friendly and at no point did I feel uneasy or uncomfortable. They cater for all abilities from beginner to pro. I also had a great PT session with luke and it really helped develop my game before my first kickboxing fight where I got really good value for money. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Dropped in today for an all levels Muay Thai class. I’ve been training in Thailand for a while, but my partner is pretty new to it and was a bit nervous. The check in was friendly and easy, we felt welcome right away. The training was great for all levels and we both felt challenged and encouraged through the whole class. The instructors are fighters themselves and a lot of them we have watched fight over the years. There is absolutely no ego in this gym. They work with you on correcting technique and even after one session with them, I gained some tools to further my training. Also, the playlist was awesome... great jams, good people and strong training! We’ll be back!

They are expanding! This is the place to train if you are looking to learn from great coaches. Look for Andrew Leone, Anthony Leone, or Aiman and they can connect you with the suitable trainings. All the best to entire Bali MMA Team!

This year is the second time I started visiting the club. Last time was during covid. The main advantage is group classes which I recommend visit regularly (3-4 times a week) since big gaps might lead to the situation when classes are too hard. Everybody starts getting used in a week or so if going regularly. There is always a core of mates which maintain spirit and energy.

Without a doubt the best place to learn a martial art in Bali. Top-notch staff, very fair price for the quality of the trainers, the classes and the hygiene of the gym. I train with a senior personal trainer called Han, who is undoubtedly the person you need to learn and progress in Muay Thai. An extraordinary person who is kind, attentive and calm. That's what makes all the difference!
