Wife kept mentioning how good the red velvet pancakes were based on IG/Tiktok reviews, so we just had to drop by. Indeed, this is one of the rare occasions that I actually had pancakes that were moist on the inside, juicy and tasted exactly like red velvet with every bite! I had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were crispy and done to perfection. Each item on the table was also daintily decorated and added to the atmosphere of a tucked away rare gem of a secret coffee house that made you feel at home.

Fantastic location for brunch! 5/5 on the karage chicken waffles and red velvet pancakes. This cute and charming brunch spot deserves to be on any best brunch lists of Bali. Photos do not do justice to the size of the portions ( 3 giant fluffy pancakes, unreal!) Great prices and great coffee. A must stop

Absolutely everything in this place is wonderful; their red velvet pancakes are the best we've ever had in any country in the world, coffee is always very high quality, and we've always loved their savoury food too. The people working here are so happy, kind and always welcoming with a smile! We go here as often as possible and recommend it to everyone to go!!

We went in with a lot of expectations after reading some of the reviews. However, we were a little disappointed both at food and more the service. The waffle came in a good time 10-15 mins after the rest of the food, In spite of the additional time taken, the waffle was burnt on one side. When we asked them to take a look their response was that it's meant to be burnt on one side. We then wanted to null the burnt taste with some extra sauce, which we were promptly reminded would be extra cost. The coffee though is very good and do want to call out that we didn't try one of the favourite items viz; red velvet pancake. Which we saw a lot of the other guests order and could hear raving about. Overall, even though we didn't have one of the best experiences I would recommend giving The Fat Turtle a try it you are in the Seminiyak area.

Nice breakfast cafe in Seminyak Bali. We ordered the blueberry pancake and egg Benedict. Pancake here is worth a try, blueberry cream cheese with ice cream was good. Egg Benedict with pulled pork was great, the portion js not too big. Food here is priced around 50k to 70k. We spent around 200k for two persons

Nice place for brunch with reasonable prices though nothing to write home about. We tried the tropical pancakes, red velvet pancakes, French toast and chicken and waffles. Food is either a hit or miss. Pancakes were good, chicken and waffles exceptional, but the French toast was lacklustre and really boring. Tropical pancakes were surprisingly light and suitable for Bali's heat, served up with sorbet and tropical fruits. The red velvet pancakes were more hearty with cream cheese and chocolate. The karaage chicken was the star of the combo - crispy, juicy and tender which elevated the average waffles. Noticed that other reviewers commented about a weird guy staring at customers. This time, he was standing, motionless behind the cash register and watching everyone for the entirety of our breakfast 🤷🏻 Do note that this is small place with cute decor and is best for small groups or couples.

Super chill cafe which reminds me of Australia. Servings are a little smaller but I’m not complaining. Eggs benedict is delicious, just beware and make sure your eggs are cooked a little more to avoid bali belly! The fruit papaya bowl was delicious - BEST granola in town!

My wife and I came here for breakfast earlier today. Such a shame we only found this place on our last morning. Amazingly calm atmosphere with very unique table arrangements and Aircon. The staff were very friendly and kind and incredibly welcoming. For breakfast, I had scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and mushrooms and my Wife had two fried eggs, toast and bacon. Very very nice food, but we must say the bacon stood out and was delish! We also ordered two vanilla milkshakes which were out of this world! Very creamy and cold, perfection! Just stroll away from where I stay, the name “fat turtle” is so catchy. One guy, I do believe he is the owner, opened the door, and greet me, which was very nice. The old sewing machine table was used as serving table which is very unique I ordered the waffle and chicken, this is modern fusion Asian-western inspired dish. I can taste ginger marinated karage chicken, and visible white sesame seeds, chopped chilli, green shallots and celery as a garnish. Sweet soy as a plate garnished and soy sauce As dipping sauce was presented on the small ramekin bowl.

I was on the hunt for pancakes and The Fat Turtle did not disappoint. The cafe itself is small but inviting. The blueberry pancakes were soft and the right amount of sweetness. I also tried their caramel latte with vanilla ice cream which personally I felt like was a bit of a fad. A normal caramel latte with sugar syrup would have been better.

This is our favourite restaurant in all of Bali, maybe Indonesiaa! We came here backpacking Bali in 2018 and loved it! We then travelled to Lombok, and decided to specifically fly back to bali for 3 days just so we could eat here (before going to Malaysia). The staff here have always been friendly and the food is absolutely amazing, especially for the price. There are definitely cheaper places around dont get us wrong, but the value for money is very good, especially if you compare back to pounds. We reccomend the Red Velvelt Pancakes with Red Velvet Latte and Fried Chicked and Waffles with a Milkshake. But we have been here 8 times now...
