Quite disappointing yoga class, too much focus on techniques and “correctness”, while not enough focus on the purpose of yoga, flow, and mindfulness. Most importantly, not enough support is given to everyone, and the teacher only focused on a selective few throughout the class. Also very judgemental and unsupportive if you needed a very short pause during the practice, which is the first time I’ve encountered. Everyone is different and your body is also different everyday! Probably won’t come back given I’ve already had some awesome classes at other studios nearby.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I couldn't pass by the last review without commenting because it's absolutely not true. I'm coming here almost every day now because am in love with the place. Tulum vibes, a little green oasis in the middle of a busy street and much quieter than all the other places on this street as u don't head bikes as much. The staff is so fun , we always laugh and are very attentive. The food is great, cheaper than many places and healthy desserts are to sell your soul for 😮‍💨 Come and try yourself, I don't get negative comments about this place

I have been coming to practice yoga here almost everyday for over a year and did my yoga teachers training here. Still I get kicked out because I want to use the studio 5 extra minutes at the end of the class to finish my practice. Im not disturbing anyone, I even bring my own yoga mat and props (the ones here are very poor). You should treat clients better. Also, the place urgently needs a renovation.

Besides the fact that one yoga room is right next to a rooster farm.... it's a very nice place. Multiple yoga rooms, nice massage rooms, healthy restaurant. You'll find everything you need here... even screaming rooster to help you focus on your inner peace.

I found Samadi as perfect place to do yoga, have vegan breakfast or lunch, have awesome vegan icecream. Shop for fresh gluten free buns and much more. It's a dream come true even I wasn't hoping to find such a perfect place on our holidays. Yoga teacher Zee is now my favourite. Highly recommended 🙏🧘‍♀️

Attended the yoga class and it's true, when practicing it's hard to be non judgemental so I kept that in mind as I was doing the class. Personally, it was only ok but that's because I prefer more alignment cues and it felt like the sequence wasn't very well thought out to be honest. Teacher was nice and again, if you're used to practicing yoga especially in Singapore, this place whilst beautiful may fall short in some ways. Still, I'm appreciative of the yoga teacher and the space is quaint. Not the best but also not the worst, like all things it's WIP. The Sunday market is nice, cafe looks charming and the people are friendly.

Restaurant: Ordered dine-in Mediterranean Dosa and green veg bowl, meals were tasteless and dry, with no sauce. Dosa was supposed to be with feta cheese, but I could hardly feel it is there. Bowl was just grilled greens with no sauce, plain taste. Overall okay, but not sure I’ll come back.

Quite disappointed The studio I was in had a rat running along the inside the roof, the mat smelt of sweat, the roof was leaking and it was more expensive than another studio that is way nicer and close by. The yoga class - gentle vinyasa was well sequenced and paced but the facilities let the place down

I have been practicing yoga here for over a year. They have amazing teachers reason why I keep coming back. However, the yoga studios are falling apart. The floor is uneven and literally has holes. Recently they changed all of the yoga mats BUT the new ones are absolutely horrible. The cheapest material - we were better with the old ones! It is really a shame that there is no investment to improve or even maintain the place and equipment :(

This yoga place is not very big, and its not exclusive, maybe they want to keep it the traditional way. Because you can see a roster running around, a cat and a goose. But still cozy and you can still feel the wind blow. But for yoga they have several classes, start from all level up to master classes. I used to order coconut but sometimes coffe Facility : Toilet, gazebo, provide mattress,

The class was pretty good except the part where the instructor laughed at me and said to the class “what is she doing?!?” when I fell out of a position I was trying to achieve with blocks. He also seem annoyed when I yawned during a pose as he said it on the microphone. I did yoga for 3 years and haven’t done it now for 6 years. Today was me trying to start it back up. I didn’t feel welcome at my current level. Maybe I’ll recommend it to my regular yoga friends but overall I’m disappointed. Today is Christmas Eve and I wanted to have a yoga session for myself and my body. A beautiful way to start the day, but it had the opposite affect. Left feeling quite low. I won’t be back unfortunately because I just don’t want to experience that again.

I love this place, But it's not about the place, it's about the teacher!!! I love Vivienne ❤️ I moved to Canggu to attend her classes 🥹 I have already practiced in many places, both in Ubud in Seminyak, Canggu but I have not found anyone better than Vivienne, because there is simply no better! I really love her power yoga and alignment lessons 😍 I see progress both in the body and in the mind 🥹😍🙏 thank you so much Vivienne, you are incredible, love you and your energy ❤️

By far the best yoga studio in Canggu and (you will be surprised) Ubud! Simple cozy and authentic set-up, good trainers for functional classes like Vinyasa and Yin focused more on the efficiency of the class, the techniques and less on meditation and mindfulness (honestly, that is what we were looking for as it is rare that focus on the body is prioritized as well it requires more effort from the trainer 🤷🏼‍♀️). We can meditate on our own and what we need from the class with the trainer is knowledge and skills on how to improve the asanas and practice so well done you guys for standing out! Fantastic classes with Nikki and Sasya so far 👍🏼 no desire to go try again other studios, this is the place to go🙏🏼 Lovely cafe as well and looks like quite cozy accommodation and in-house spa services so may be a good retreat escape 🧘🏼‍♀️ Oh yeah, plenty of good restaurants near by so great location 👍🏼

I tried my first ever aerial yoga class at Samadi and I absolutely loved it! I'd been following Samadi since before I came to Bali and it was on my list as one of the studios I wanted to practice in while I was here. I found out who was teaching the class and connected with Adnya on Instagram to get to know her. She was so chatty and friendly and it was nice when I arrived for the class before I felt like I knew her already. Adnya was super supportive throughout the class helping us to find alternative ways to get into each posture if we were stuggling. This class was SO much fun, less of a relaxing yoga class and more of a sweaty workout so come along prepared to work hard! I've never laughed so much during a class and I made a new friend whilst hanging upside like a bat. You only have to look at my face in these photos to see how much fun I was having! Be sure to book yourself in for an aerial yoga class at Samadi next time you're in Canggu.

Lovely yoga+meditation center, great food at the cafe, quaint Sunday market and just great hospitality all around! Marcello and his staff are such lovely hosts! Loved my stay here for a few days.

I really enjoyed entering this little oasis to attend a couple of yoga classes, have a Zen massage, and eat some traditional food. The communication regarding the info about services was very speedy through the WhatsApp.

I loved the idea of Samadi but was disappointed after spending a few nights in one of their jolo rooms. The rooms are overpriced considering you are not told that you are attached to a yoga studio and will hear all the noise from classes all day - plus you have to pay extra to join the class. Working from your room won't be flexible. There are also holes in the windows causing lots of bugs to come in and constant geico poop on me bed (😂 was not expecting that) Upon arrival noone on staff spoke great english, i felt a bit lost and confused and had to just figure things out on my own. I didn't get a tour or a very warm welcome. the only benefit to booking here is having yoga and a good restaurant in one place. I won't book again or recommend it for logding. Hopefully samadi can make some adjustments or at least notify guests they will share a wall with a yoga studio.

The absolute BEST vegan ice cream. You literally can’t taste a difference and there are so many different flavors and also with brownies inside. The ice cream is really expensive sadly but it’s just so good and very addicting. They have small buckets and big buckets of ice cream which are made out of carton. I also bought really nice tarot cards.

What a wonderful place! I went here for Sunday morning yoga and then had breakfast here afterwards. The yoga was well instructed and well structured , and the food after was a delight. A great spot in Canggu.

Tried their Hot Vinyasa class with my husband and we super enjoyed! It was the right level of heat paired with the pace of the class. The reception crew, our instructor and all the staff around made us feel so welcomed. Can’t wait to try more classes! Also plus points that the environment is so relaxing! ♥️

We loved this place. We came for the farmers market and bought spices, fruits and really nice clothes. We stayed for the kid’s yoga — the teacher was so sweet. And came back for a Kirtan class.

Such an interesting place and concept. Bio, holistic, healing, healthy lifestyle cafe, store, markets, yoga, meditation spot. Ubud vibes in Canggu indeed. A mix of outdoor & indoor space Gets busy with the parking space, especially with cars, if valet service would possibly be an option to consider.

Love this little slice of heaven in Bali. Being a yoga teacher of 7 years, I appreciate the heart and soul the owners bring into this business. Everything from the food to the vibe is so aligned- highly recommend for yoga, a meal or massage!

I'm just judging the food shop at this point. There is a small selection of vegetables, but nothing special. There is very tasty bread of excellent quality and there is a nice selection of coffee and tea to buy. The black bread is certainly the tastiest thing you can buy in Bali. For this reason alone it is worth making a detour here.

The best yoga studio in Canggu, Bali. It has amazing staff, amazing and best wellness workshops and classes. I had super tasty and delicious food from their plant based restaurant. I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but I always have a great time eating the food here. I also love their warung indo, their Indonesian food never fails me. Samadi also has an organic supermarket and concept shop. Samadi is one stop for everything you need.

Quite appalled with the 75 mins or so class I had with Vivienne to be honest. I am a yoga teacher back home myself and these are what I have observed: 1) It was a Power Flow class. There were 3 people who left during the class which says a lot about instructor not reading the room and will judge you for picking the wrong class and wanted to leave. Most of the people that comes in they are tourists there was a pair of sisters that kept talking to each other and it was very distracting so Vivienne did mention many times not to talk during class. 2) Instructions are clear on some but it was a lot of mumbling about how yoga should be like and how she teaches it etc, the whole time I can feel the condescending tone referring to people who wants to rest a little inbetween as they “chickened out”. 3) If the class is posted as 75 mins, it would be ideal to stick it to it rather than telling everyone at the start its 90 mins. I felt rude leaving early as people have things to do even on holiday. 4) I get that it’s a strong class and literally no rest inbetween but what happened to yoga being compassionate and mindful? As teachers the language we use is so so important and again each to own can make an impact positive or not on how yoga is spread to people that comes in to your class.

My review is based on my yoga experience, not the accomodation or restaurant. I have practiced here a number of times over the last few years. I note on my more recent visit. The attendance and number of classes is significantly less than in June this year. Samadi has some great teachers who guide practitioners through a range of classes . The range from gentle and slow to a very strong power vinyasa. Should suit all students. Vivienne’s passion for strength and alignment is truly uplifting. However we enjoyed all of our classes with all our teachers.

Took the Ranie’s Ashtanga class and really enjoyed it. Her direction was clear and easy to follow even for foreigners and the Ashtanga beginners. The facilities themselves were nice as well. But it would be better to bring your own mat. I found it very slippery and dangerous for Ashtanga

I have had repeatedly poor experiences with Samadhi supermarket. I am regular customer in person but tried to order online. Do not do this since the system is so poor they need ti check manually for orders and you may not get them anytime soon. When they missed my order for some Chinese herbs when I felt sick, they charged 75k delivery fee for next day, failed to deliver in time a refused to refund the delivery charge. This is the definition of poor customer service.nthe ownership never engages and seems to be missing in action. There are a lot of other options now for this type of market and I recommend exploring them if you want good customer service.

The Vinyasa Class with Max is not worth the money. 1. Many transitions were not explained clearly. 2. The teacher messed up his stand a few times, what caused confusion in the room. 3. The pace was too high. 4. We finished more then 10min. earlier. Two stars, because its clean... If this class sets the current standard for SAMADI, I won't come again.

Turned up for my first yoga class here to be told it had been cancelled by reception. Would have been nice to have been notified of this before I made the journey there.

I usually come here for their deli. Since They just ran out of brioche, I was offered to place an order for the next day. I did and paid for two in cash. The shop attendant didnt give me any receipt but assured me that there’ll be a note for the staff to handle this purchase the bext day. Sure enough, the next day nobody knew about my preorder, and the shop attendant was off duty. Finally after some back and forth phone calls, they found the girl, confirmed the order and payment - and found out they sold one of the brioche already. Wow!!!!

Very nice place. Especially considering the forward thinking on removing plastic all together in their market ánd their approach to locality in food/goods. All in all had a great stay!

The food looks good visually, but the taste is rather semi, little to no seasoning. The price is comparable to other restaurants in the vicinity, about 15% above standard. The service is poor, the waitress doesn't react at all, you have to encourage her to show the guest a Menu and take the order.

👍👍 I was there for the Sunday festival and all I can say is that being there is a bali must.
