Coutrallam Falls is located in tenkasi district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu bordering Kollam district, Kerala. The falls is located on the Western Ghats on the river Chittar and is considered a "medical spa" on account of the medical smell in the waters. It is located 5 km from the nearest city Tenkasi.

Excellent place in tamilnadu. Best place to visit in kuttralam. Try to visit morning 6am to enjoy the freshness of the western ghats. We can reach here with in 6 km from main kuttralam , or can visit from TENKASI within 12 km . Best time to visit from June. Or if raining in Western ghats kuttralam area you can expect full fill of falls in this old kuttralam falls. There is separate bath place available for male and female. Dress changing rooms for women's also available.

Old courtallam very close to nature. Definitely unforgettable experience for me. The area was full of green. Neatly maintained. 24hrs falls. But my opinion is mid night or early morning is the right time for friends. But not for families. In the night time no one ll be in the falls. Separate change room for ladies was good👍.

Very nice falls. Less crowded and clean. Went in December and the falls had good amount of water. Ladies dress change room is available. No shops around and the area is calm. Much better than main falls.

Located near Courtallam town. Entry fee is Rs.50 for four wheeler. Will be crowded on weekends. You can take bath here without any safety concerns. This is not a dangerous falls. Dress changing facility is available but while we visited it was closed. Surroundings are not that that clean, saw a lot of garbages and waste items

It's a check post where they charge 50 rs for 4 wheeler. Varity of fruits and other snacks are sold.

A place of choice to have a decent bath in coutrallam... The cliff is carved into multiple steps, hence the waterall is sreamlined.. can find water here even in drier times when other falls don't have any water..

One hell of a place.. Every human should visit atleast once in their life awesome location and falls...Great experience for us.

Water fall many people are coming like pilgrim center. TNRTC bus service available here. Monsoon time. Gents and ladies separate place available here bathing and comfort station available here. Rush time police available here for safety both ladies and gents. Lots of parking facilities available here. Rush time vehicle is not allowed, this time use rickshaw and walking or choose bus service. Small shop are available here.

Very nice place for waterfalls . But it is too crowded over here .. no entry fees . Has many restaurants inside .. but poor infrastructure inside .. need to improved .. does not have wheel chair accessible parking and entrance.. water force is excellent .. we can bring young kids here .good for toursim . And we can enjoy falls with family and friends 😉☺️

Had a great time during monsoon (November 2023) .Luckily for us there was very few crowd and so had a time for an hour there.

Great place to visit... As it was having less common transport accessibility like local buses, those who come in own vehicles can enjoy a lot with comparitively less crowd....

Might be the world's most beautiful place I've been so far. Not only this but the whole village around like a 5 km radius!!!

Waited one hour for bath and wait was worth and we had a good memory to cherish. Police had did a good job maintaining queue

Kutrallam is really a beautiful place but, in the main falls immediately after the falls the water tat flows in the canal is dirty as the canal is full of drainage water and garbage(it really smells bad).Our natural resource is just getting wasted that’s the saddest part.

Old Coutrallam is waterfalls place where you and your family can take a good bath and enjoy fresh snacks from shops there. You have to park your car in the given parking area and have to trek for 10 mins else you can take a auto for 10rs/pp and reach the destination. Dress changing rooms and waterfall area are less hygienic places

Easily the preferred getaway for a day trip or night trip. Healthy way to spend your holiday too. It is very crowded during weekends. The waterfalls have to be visited during the season.

Water was there only in old falls when we visited. There are separate bath places for men and women. Kids can also enjoy in small pool like area. Police will be watching people from top. Enjoyed it overall.
