This beach is one of the many different beaches at Kovalam. It's a beautiful beach. I went during the holidays and it was very crowded. Parking could be a tough task on days like that. The beach itself is neat and clean. But the land near to the beach is not that well maintained. There are some teashops where one can get good tea and coffee. Lifeguards here are polite and strict which is good. Overall it's a nice place to spend time during the evenings.

Beautiful beach ⛱️. Just that you will not find many food stalls.. but somewhere it's good, no hawkers, no mess, no trash everywhere...

The tropical paradise of Kovalam Beach in Trivandrum, Kerala, fully lives up to its reputation as one of India's most recognized beach resorts. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kovalam Beach, which grabbed me with its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance. The magnificent coastline of Kovalam Beach was the first thing that drew my attention to it. Lighthouse shore, Hawa Beach, and Samudra Beach are the three crescent-shaped sections of the shore. Each has its own distinct charm. As the name implies, Lighthouse Beach is dominated by a high lighthouse that offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Hawa Beach is ideal for sunbathing and relaxation, whilst Samudra Beach is more serene and less busy. The warm and inviting waters of the Arabian Sea are one of the highlights of Kovalam Beach. The mild waves make it excellent for swimming, and there are lots of water sports activities for those looking for a little more action. Kovalam has something for everyone, whether you're a seasoned surfer or a newbie wishing to experience water sports. The indigenous cuisine of Kovalam is a culinary delight. The numerous coastal shacks and restaurants provide fresh fish. Don't pass up the chance to try some classic Kerala meals like shrimp curry, appam, and coconut-based delicacies. Dining with the sound of crashing waves in the backdrop is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Kovalam is more than just a beach destination; it also provides possibilities for cultural exploration. The Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, which displays a variety of marine life, and the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you may go on nature walks and view wildlife in their natural habitat, are both local attractions. What truly distinguishes Kovalam is the warm and friendly friendliness of the locals. They go above and beyond to make visitors feel at ease, creating a memorable and delightful stay. Finally, Kovalam Beach in Trivandrum, Kerala, is a slice of paradise that combines natural beauty, water sports, delectable cuisine, and cultural activities. It's a great place for both leisure and adventure, and I definitely recommend it to anyone searching for a relaxing and revitalizing beach vacation in India.

One of the best beaches to spent an evening to witness a wonderful sunset. We went on a weekend and it was croweded. Parking is a problem, you may need to park on the road side and may be walk a little bit.

Grove Beach is a hidden coastal gem that combines natural beauty, tranquility, and the allure of unspoiled shores. Located in a serene corner of nature, this beach offers a peaceful escape for those seeking relaxation and a connection with the sea. Upon arrival at Grove Beach, you'll be greeted by the soothing sound of waves gently lapping the shoreline. The soft, golden sands beckon you to unwind, take leisurely walks, or simply relax under the shade of swaying palm trees. It's a place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world. What makes Grove Beach truly special is its pristine condition. Unlike some overcrowded tourist spots, this beach retains its unspoiled charm. It's the perfect destination for solitude seekers, couples looking for a romantic getaway, or families in search of a peaceful escape. The coastal vegetation and the view of the tranquil sea create a picturesque backdrop for any visit. Whether you're watching the sunset paint the sky with vivid colors or indulging in the local cuisine at nearby eateries, Grove Beach promises an authentic and serene coastal experience. Grove Beach is more than just a destination; it's an opportunity to connect with the raw beauty of nature, savor the simplicity of coastal life, and create cherished memories by the sea. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and embrace the tranquility of the coast.

Comparatively less crowded than two other adjacent beaches (Kovalam beach and Lighthouse beach) this Samudra beach is a bliss to spend your perfect leisure. Although you may term it as a private one to some extent but it never cuts off the share of limitless blue from your view. A beautiful sitting place is also there where you can enjoy the breeze throughout the day. A little park is also there. Overall very nice experience you'll have.

This is an awesome location in Kovalam , have access points for it through Leela Raviz or for common points from a commoner perspective…this is a neat and clean area in the beech periphery….have seen lot of visitors exploring the sun sand and the beech ….its a silent part of the beech and its a place where you can relax forgetting all the world around you…much a beautiful place for you to explore

Definitely a very enjoyable location for kids and adults. Tides are very rough though. There are speed boating options ranging from 10min till 30mins. It may be worth for those who like adventures.

Kovalam beach has its pristine green colored waters, rock beds and the wonderful terrain which made the location an international site. You will get the best when you visit in the evening instead of morning for the sun sets into the sea.

Kovalam Beach in Trivandrum is an exquisite coastal gem! The golden sands, fringed by palm trees, create a postcard-perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. The gentle waves beckon for a refreshing swim, and the local vendors offering coconut water and snacks add to the charm. Sunset here is truly magical, painting the sky with vivid hues. However, during peak tourist seasons, the beach can get crowded. Yet, the lively atmosphere and the array of activities like water sports and beachside cafes make Kovalam a must-visit destination for those seeking both tranquility and excitement along Trivandrum's beautiful coastline

Easily approach beach in kovalam. Sunset here is more beautiful than other beaches in kovalam. Lighthouse beach sunset sometime is heavenly though. Good parking space and recently sprouted kite flying added to the charm.

Not very safe to go as there are too many stray dogs on the beach. Not sure if they are aggressive or not but definitely does grab and run with your chappals Or other items if they are unattended.

Best beach, clean and tidy... Sand is super white and the water is clean. But red flag was ON because of high tide 🌊🌊🌊, couldn't touch the beach and sand. Life guards are very strict

Kovalam :-) always have good scenery & we have few kinds of boating activities available with safety measures.. nice place to spend time along with family. Parking space is little less :-) should be improved by government ☺️

Not as busy or as large as other beaches. More fishing boats and less vendors. Admittedly we showed up in the evening at sunset. Beautiful time but quiet

Very good experience, not very crowded. Masjid in Kovalam beach under maintenance, so it's closed, but you wish to pray you can do it outside the masjid area

Locals called this as Black beach since the sand color is black and fine grained.U can go inside sea to some distance and enjoy the tides due to the low tide.Sun set is amazing .

The beach is neat and clean. It is one of the famous places in Kerala you can see different people gathered there. The view of the sea is very beautiful. And the sunset from there is most beautiful. It's a very good suggestion for mind reference.

A good beach but very high restrictions imposed by the so called "life gaurds" there would surely make your trip hell. They force you to stay within a small strip pf beach where I believe that they could manage and force out anyone else to use any other part of the beach.

  • 5/5 D V. 1 year ago on Google
Its a small and lovely beach. Best time to visit early morning, catch a glimpse of fishermen in action as they take out the boats around 5am and return with the catch around 6 30 or 7am. Their rituals before during and after and their chants are all amazing , they welcome if you want to give a helping hand! Must experience if you can, as they celebrate the fish caught in their nets and pray to the divine sea.
