Budget friendly home stay. Home made food and food of your choice will be served according to personal preference. The owner of the property is very friendly and understanding. Rooms are neat and clean. Car parking is not possible in the property since it is but away from the road. You need to inform the owner for arranging car parking at his friends house which is near to the property. Canoeing and boating will be arranged according to our convenience. Cycles are also available if you want to take a quick spin around the island.

I stayed at the paradise for just a day. Nice, calm and peaceful premise. The room was excellent and the washroom, which is also something that I look forward to, everytime, was elegantly perfect. Even though the property is situated deep inside the island, it truly is a hidden gem, especially at night. Anu and Albin were really friendly. Had a wonderful time here. I would recommend the property for people who are getting here along with friends. Its worth every dime.

Had a great stay at Munroe Paradise! The location is perfect as you can start tours directly from there, and the athmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing - out in the green and with hammocks. Moreover, the host provides the best food I have had in India for the past 10 days!

The place of Anu is great! Totally in nature with nice outdoor lounge and hammocks! He can organize boattrips as well and is a great chef! We loved the homemade food! It was my second stay there and i will come back again, for sure!

The stay place is a little bit inside from the main road 15-20mins max. It's better to rent a bicycle or a scooty.

Room ambiance, location of the property, cleanliness was completely good (5 star) we asked the owner to arrange for canoeing & they brought the boat to this property itself. Rs.1500 they charged for it Food is not available. they said it Onam time & chef is on leave. Rs.200 they reduced for the room rent for this if u r planning for this property do consider to have your own transportation & food arrangement. this island is off where u will find limited restaurant which will close by 6.30 eve tat too will be @ some 2km distance.

Great getaway from Trivandrum, peaceful and serene with good service.

Munroe Paradise is a beautiful resort, nested in the heart of the island, surrounded by tropical nature and bordered by a little creek. There are three cabin rooms, access to a communal kitchen and a nicely made outdoor space with hammocks, picnic tables, chairs, ornaments and lights. Calling it a home stay is a bit misleading because it is a not a typical home stay where you stay in a homely environment with a family and this is noticeable as the place is managed by two guys in their 30’s. There are a few things that can be improved - there are no mosquito nets on the door or windows, so it was very hot and suffocating at night. Both Anu and his partner Chippy live on site, either in one of the vacant cabins neighbouring to you, or in a shed nearby. While both were present, they didn’t seem too enthusiastic about helping or attending to their guests, and often forgot things we asked for, or keeping the place clean. They were mostly on their phones, often watching videos loudly, which was quite disturbing while we were trying to enjoy the peaceful and serene environment. Regarding food and drink - there is no menu, we had fish for dinner there once, it was average, and we later found that it was 500rs per person, which is more than most local restaurants. Munroe Paradise is set up beautifully, and has the potential to be a fantastic resort if it will be managed with more care.

The perfect place in the Monroe Islands, quiet, authentic, and beautiful. I strongly recommend this place for family. Being located in deep forest this place gives an immense pleasure and happiness. This was the best resort I have ever been.

Such an amazing calm place surrounded by palmtrees. The garden offers comfy places to relax and enjoy your time. In the evening there are lights which create a romantic atmosphere. The owner is a lovely and very helpful guy. The room is big, clean and has a fan. A mosquito net would be great. The sunrise tour on a small boat was wonderful and definitely a highlight of my time in India. I can highly recommend this place and I will come back.

My best recommendations! Serene place at the canal side, so authentic from one side, and so comfortable to tourists. Clean and new room (AC and non AC), well decorated. Anu is so helpful and kind for any wish - boat, food, new sites to visit... Very good dishes of Uni, hammocks in the yard and more complete a wonderful experience
