The best rock to visit in Trivandrum, as the view from the top is just mesmerizing and wholesome. The climb up top is a bit tiring and treacherous, when you are near the top most point, as the hand rails that help you climb ends abruptly. But there is a juice shop, mid way to the top and there are snacks, shakes, biscuits, juices etc available here. This place is one of the tallest rocks in Trivandrum. There is an entry fee of ₹20 for adults and ₹10 for kids. But it is totally worth paying the price. We visited this place during a weekday evening and it was not too crowded. A nice place to visit with friends and family. There is a slight trekking experience here as well.

Pretty decent place to visit during the weekends or some holidays. The steps are really steep, but the ordeal steep climb does offer a great view for taking some cool pictures. There is even a Children's park and a small cafe like shop to buy some snacks. Entry fee is INR 10/- per head. Avoid visiting during rainy season as the place can get ridiculously slippery. Parking facilities for 4 wheeler is average.

It's a good place to spend an evening. May be tough for old age persons to climb rocks although there are stairs here and there. No free drinking water available even if some units are installed. "The wind and the views" A great initiative from Tourism department. A place where you can take a mini trek and enjoy the 360 degree view over the top which is simply breathtaking. A little more safety measures can be provided for people climbing up. Childrens' play area with amenities together with a well mannered security, are awesome. A nice place to rewind, relax and even meditate. No matter how tired you are, the wind slowly refreshes you. Regarding parking, don't expect any mercy from nearby shopkeepers as they'll not allow you to park even nearby their shops. The greatest attractions are the views after dawn where everything around lights up. Trivandrum is Superb!

Sasthampara is an tourist spot on a rock. The road to this place is wide enough to accomplish all kinds of vehicles apart from heavy vehicles like buses. There's a small parking area at the entrance. Stairs have been constructed on the path to the top of the rock. It's very easy to reach the top of the lower rock. The path to the higher one is facilitated with hand railings, but this one does not have stairs. The view from here is quite nice. You get to view the green surroundings of the Thiruvananthapuram city. You can come here and sit for a while. There's nothing else that you can do here. Do not expect for a trek or anything like that. As this is being written, there are plans for adventure tourism at Sasthampara. So we'll have to wait to see how that turns out.

Nice atmosphere , a small place for enjoying our holidays which is in the vilippilsala road. The place is in Trivandrum district, we can spend in evening times, also can came here with families. Most of the couples or lovers were select this place, which is a unknown place for someone. It is a high Rockway path, there are steps arranged in the rocks, and can climb up to the top and can enjoy the high region with cool wind and good atmosphere. It can enjoy everyone, and a small park is there on the other side of that rock. We can see the entire city and other hills from the top region. Parking is available in the bottom of the rock region. Small shops for buying drinks or snacks were available there. Also a small coffee shop in the top region. All over a good place for spending our evenings.

This place is underrated. A beautiful place to spend your evening. The view from the top is amazing. Entry ticket is Rs 20/person. This place is taken care by tourism department. Best time to visit will be evening or morning. There is also a mini stall at the top. You can enter till 7pm.

It is situated in vilappilsala road in Thiruvananthapuram. You can come here with our family or you can come as a couple. It is a hidden place with a nice atmosphere and it is a high rockway path with rock steps. Morning and evening is the best time to come here, the sunset is an amazing view from here. The timing is 07am - 07pm with ticket charge 20/-. Besides this rock, a small park is placed on the other side. But the park is becoming worse due to the lack of frequent maintenance. There is parking space for vehicles near the main entrance also small shops are in there for snacks and drinks. My suggestion is to choose evening time to visit here.

Its an awesome getaway spot from tvm city. A small hill which requires 5minute climb and u can enjoy both sunrise and sunset here.

Sasthampara Rural tourism centre, one of the best tourist destination in Trivandrum.. probably you have to take some taxi or own vehicle to reach there.. best time to visit in the evening.. have to climb the hill, some steps are there.. with the sunset, you can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature around the place.. and at the base of the hill, there is a shop providing juice, milk shakea and snacks.. after the entire hill climbing and enjoyment, have a milk shake from there.. (recommended).. evening lights will be better for the photography.. nearby places are Kattakkada and Peyad..

Have good view of nearby hills and foggy clouds. Place is not wheelchair accessible ♿. Entrance fee for adult is 20 and children for 10. Fee for children below age 5 is free. There is no parking lot for this place, so you have to park nearby the road. You can get eatables and drink at top of the hill.

A quick 30 mins drive from the city will take you here for a beautiful sunset view. Suggest to arrive after 5 PM...

It's a marvelous place to experience sunrise or aerial view of Trivandrum. Fortunately the authorities haven't altered the natural look of the site. Now they open only around 7 am by the time beauty of sunrise will fade. They should open it by 6. It's an excellent place for runners who want to experience the uphill /downhill efforts

Good place

Its one of the top sunset spots in trivandrum. Due to vast area, there is ample space to sit and relax watching the sun slowly go down. Try to avoid noon time since there is very few areas that provide shade. You might have to go a little farther from the Google map location to get to the real entrance.
