Nice travel Kuzhithurai (also known as Kuzhithura) is a city and a municipality in Kanyakumari District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of the Vilavancode Taluk. It is located 26 km (16 mi) north of the Nagercoil city and 42 km (26 mi) south of Kerala's capital city Trivandrum along NH66. It has a historical seaport (thura or thurai) where ancient merchants came from across the Arabian sea in ancient times. It is mentioned in ancient Indian maps. As of 2011, the town had a population of 21,307.

High time to construct a new bridge along with this to cope up the traffic flow. Doesnt seem at all like a highway standard bridge.

The bridge connecting kuzhithura and marthandam . The steel bridge is constructed as over bridge and side roads are there. The bridge is about 12 feet high from the road. The new bridge was inaugurated a month back and it's now open for normal traffic.The bridge has openings at the junction where the road deviates to karungal. The bridge is supported by steel girders .Parking areas are arranged at the basement of the bridge. Facilities for pedesterian crossing is available in the service road.

Now that the marthandam fly over work is over, can travel on this route, hassle free. Except during the festival of the near by temple, when the road gets totally packed with traffic.
