This was the worst place to sleep in my life. It's like sleeping on the ground, because it literally is sleeping on the ground. Wouldn't recommend to anybody!

Not your normal hotel. If you imagine sleeping in a house in Korea back in the 1500's.. this is what it would be like. But not in a bad way by any means! It's just the style of the buildings is very old fashioned. It has all the amenities of a regular hotel except for beds; they give you Kat's and pillows to lay on the floor. But that's pretty normal in Korea, if you're an outsider and are not use to sleeping on floor, I'd still say give this place a try. It's in a historic city with lots of culture, so try something different for once in your life you swine.

2022/14/09. Canadian traveller here. I am so glad I was able to book a spot here 2 weeks in advance because they are normally booked. When I arrived the general manager greeted us along with his staff. They were all so kind and welcoming. We arrived 1 hour early and they allowed us to check in. It’s at the heart of the village and walking distance to bike/golf cart rentals/ and all the major tourist attractions. The exterior is beautiful both during the day time and night time! I recommend taking the time to take in the experience. Keep in mind that the walls are thin therefore use your whisper voices in the evening. They also have air conditioning inside and a shower that is attached to the sink. It offers a bath sponge, a hair tie, razed and shampoo/soap.

Great location as it's located near all the historical sites. Really good for hanok stay experience. The rooms are clean and the price is quite affordable. The reception staff could speak English, and was friendly and kind. You'll be sleeping on the floor which might be slightly uncomfortable but overall a great experience.

Made a last minute reservation. Checked in at 10pm. Amenities in the room are limited so it would be a good idea to bring all your own tolilettery Manager greeted us with minimum hospitality Walls in between rooms are so thin... You may want to lower your voice...or other indoor noise/sound Buildings in architecture aspect is great. You can definitely enjoy the beauty of hanok from inside your room without stepping out ( if you're assigned a room in the main courtyard ). Overall it's okay but hospitality needs improvement.

Excellent place, sleeping on the floor on a thin madras like in old days is not for my back but for a few nights, excellent.

Great place, new and clean. Bathroom is small and poorly laid out, but functional. Close to all local attractions and UNESCO sites.

Good place to experience some of traditional stuff and something indigenous to Korea. There is no phone in the room and the lock key to each room isn't solid enough to really prevent intruders from breaking in your room. Also, the building does not do a good job in keeping the noises from the adjacent rooms down. However, it is worth staying for a couple of days for the whole new experience. All the major historical places are nearby and you can even walk.

I stayed in this Hanok style hotel for 2 nights in their largest unit. This is the place you go for its prestigious history and be immersed in the hanok, surrounded by staff and other guests who are all about keeping the hanok for the present and the future. Loved the atmosphere and if you decide to stay, check out their breakfast (with the great view, 10 bucks per person) and coffee shop (hand drip coffee around 5-6 bucks)

I would like to recommend for those who just want to experience a traditional hanok house. However, I think the price is a bit expensive than it's quality. Staff are generally friendly. I believe If room cleaning condition was improved, more guests would be satisfied.
