First ever time staying in a hostel environment and my first ever experience as I usually stay in 5 star hotels I wanted to see what’s the crack about hostels and why people stay in them. So here we go… The Staff are really helpful and friendly, mostly clean rooms and clean building. But Terrible noise all night from the bar downstairs no where on the website does it say this is a party hostel and it is advertised as the pods are “soundproof” I think you guys need to get a refund from your soundproofing company as all night all I could hear was the bass playing from downstairs vibrating through the floor up to my pod and I was on the top pod! Location is great and price is cheap that’s pretty much the pros about this place. Would I stay here again? Maybe if the soundproofing is improved and the comfort of the pod beds were better.

First and foremost this is a hostel not a hotel, so you are rating it in comparison to its counterparts. If you’ve ever lived in a dormitory or hostel then you know exactly what to expect, But this was much better than expected, it’s quite clean, the location is fantastic, yes it gets noisy but I’ve lived long enough in dormitories to know how to sleep through it, the lockers that come with the sleeping pods are enough to fit a duffel bag so I was completely fine with it, Everyone I met is generally polite and considerate. To sum up, if you are looking for a hostel or sleeping pod then look no further, however if your booking this thinking it’s going to be a nice cheap hotel then don’t because it’s not a hotel plain and simple.

The location is really convenient and the facilities are acceptable. Overall ok value for money. For the most part you get what you payed for so don’t expect luxury. There were however a couple of major issues to be addressed: - Toilets were constantly out of order on my floor. - There’s no kitchen, which is a basic need for most people doing budget travel, so you’re forced to buy food at the hostel or go out. - The luggage storage requires a lock, and based on some reviews stuff has been stolen, so I think they should provide you with a lock or at least let you know in advance you will be needing one. You can rent one at the front desk for £4. - There’s no way to control the heating inside the room and it was so warm at night it was hard to sleep. The street and the bar are too loud so you can’t really open the windows much. - The female only dorm rooms shouldn’t be more expensive. It has no extra cost for the hostel than the mixed rooms, and for girls traveling alone is just a way to feel safer.

I stayed overnight in one of the capsules. It was really clean and tidy and overall very comfy. It was nice to have that level of privacy and I felt very safe all night. I was worried I'd hear people moving about in the pods around me but I didn't hear anything from the other occupied pods. The bathrooms were clean and everything was in good repair. The curved bars to climb up to the upper pods aren't the best and they did hurt my feet to use without shoes (platforms would probably be better?) but it wasn't a huge issue. The only downside, as other reviews have said, is the music that started up around ten and didn't stop until well past midnight. They provide free earplugs but they don't really do anything as you could still hear the music through them and feel the bass go through the pods. It didn't really keep me up as it's not super loud, but it was still a little annoying. Overall I had a great stay, though the pod room could do with better soundproofing. :)

Stayed in a capsule here for £32, and I was really impressed. I've looked into booking one before where it was more like £55 which is a little steep for a hostel but if there's rooms for 30-40 consider this place! The bed was simple but comfy, the room was clean, and the capsule has charging ports and a colour changing light which is a cool touch. The room with the capsules has its own bathroom with toilet cubicles, showers, sinks and free hairdryers, plus a locker for each pod. The showers each have a small area with a shelf before you get in, to put your clothes on. Much more convenient than some other places I've been to where you have to balance your stuff in a pile in the sink or put it on the dirty floor. As I left a staff member was scrubbing everything down really thoroughly and it showed, the bathrooms were really nice and clean. The lockers don't have locks though so bring your own if you wanna leave anything valuable in. The bar downstairs was blasting club music all night, but they've thought of that too and give you free ear plugs on your pillow, which I really appreciate. Didn't actually try the bar because I went out the night I stayed, but it seemed modern and fun. Good place to meet new people I'm sure. You unlock the doors with an app, it was much more convenient than a key card that you can lose, you just gotta make sure to keep your phone charged properly. The lady that checked me in was great and explained how to use the app and where everything was. Overall a good place to crash, will consider here again when I go to gigs in London

If your school is planning on staying here.. try your best to get out of it. I can’t even begin to explain how horrible the hostel was, especially for the amount of money we all had to pay. the toilets aren’t working, the showers are always cold or are having mood swings. The bathrooms were always dirty with weird spots on sink, toilet and shower. The rooms have clearly not really been cleaned before our stay and haven’t been in quite some time (dust&dirt in all corners and on all surfaces). 3 of our beds had old (dirty) bedding on them. My friends bag suddenly went missing and when we managed to get it back from reception it had some new shampoo in it, my friend left that bag in our room our entire stay long… how that bag got down to reception is a mystery to this day. The bar is so. loud. we stayed on the second floor and were able to hear everything plus the loud noises from outside since there also is a pub next to the hostel. But still if we were to be a bit louder we would have had to pay a fine??? THE WORST was when one of my classmates noticed that the toast that was being served for breakfast had MOLD growing on it. Over time it became easier and easier to cope with the circumstances and we spent as little time as possible in there. Wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy…

The capsules are not soundproofed as described. Not even the room. Downstairs is there a bar that plays loud music until late night. Inside the capsule you will listen the music and feel the vibrations, this will not make you sleep. You will also hear people screaming on the street, I saw the police 2 times in a few days in front of the hostel. Cleaning is not done often, I saw the same garbage on a table for 2 days. The capsules are cool but only in the daytime. The staff was nice especially the Italian guy. Finally it is too expensive.

The hostel is in a great location and the pod room is quite nice for the privacy. However, it is on the first floor above the bar and there is no soundproofing for the music that goes past midnight. There was only one common area and it was not very welcoming. I would have appreciated a little bit of introduction to the hostel but the front desk was pretty busy and didn't offer. The laundry was nice to have, but cost $5.25 per wash and $5.25 per dry. The machine is finicky to use and frequently takes your money for a round so it was over $15 for one wash and dry load.

There are two addresses on the same street. We were staying at the address above the pub (check-in at the bar). Extremely loud music until 2am, and the earplugs provided at the check-in do not change anything, the bed trembled because of the vibrations. Room of 6 people very poorly ventilated (small window), terrible smell. Not enough toilets given the number of guests, you have to wait each time you want to go to the toilet. Dirty sanitary (alcohol bottles, moulds...). The plug above the bed didn't worked. Great location, close to Borough market. Don't trust the pictures. Don’t forget to bring a padlock and towel (not sure they have one for you to rent).

I was quite disappointed in this hostel. We had previously stayed at Palmer Lodge Swiss Cottage in London and was thoroughly impressed with all amenities, but st Christopher’s seemed sketchy compared to it. I did not like that it was a keyless entry and thus had to give my personal information to be shared to whoever. We had booked a shared coed room and it felt dirty. It was noisy at night and no respect for anyone sleeping as people would turn on the light at all hours of the night. Most of the time bathrooms were out of order. There is a chill out room - very small with no cooking facilities or fridges. Palmer Lodge Swiss Cottage has a small but very functional kitchen to be able to cook meals when staying for extended periods and a cute social room plus separate comfy quiet lounge upstairs for reading etc. This hostel had nothing like that. The one thing it had going for it was the location. I had asked to leave early but there is a no refund policy. I would not stay here again. Super disappointing.

Bed bugs! I stayed one night in a capsule last week and came out in around 20 bites the next day. I contacted the management who investigated, but said they found no signs of bed bugs. Other recent reviews also complain of bed bug bites, so this is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed. I am disappointed as I have been staying here regularly for work and had hoped to continue doing so. Previous visits have been good. The music in the bar downstairs is loud, but personally, I am able to sleep through it with the earplugs provided.

Overall this is on the low end of hostels. The rooms are nice and are pretty clean but the lay out is terrible. They advertise a common area but really it is a small cramped room with 3 couches. There is a bar attached but they have rules that people from the hostel can't go in at certain times and they lock it off most of the day. When first arriving they make you pay for a locker to store your luggage if you get there before check in. I've been to 10£ hostel that store your bags free of charge. Very poor place I'd recommend going else were.

As a frequent traveler whose been to many hostels this was the worst experience hostel I have ever visited. In a hostel I expect it to be a quiet place to crash for a night or more. However, this hostel comes with an all inclusive theme park ride where the hostel constantly shakes like a sesimic earthquake from the Bass of the nightclub. (I guess that's why the pods come with colourful lights, so you can change the colours in the beat of the "music"... Noise! My noise cancelling headphones was even a challenge to block the noise, as the thumbs vibrated through your body. I've visited various capsule pod hostels all through the world, and they provided better comfort, size and better value for money. The price of the capsule is not worth it and you are better off saving your money and finding a different hostel. I would also like to see better covid guidelines in terms of masks wearing of staff and social distancing of guests who have came from various places.

Before checking in, the staff required the PCR certificate of the same day ,but it cost 150 pounds to do the test, and only 20 pounds to live in this hotel. Without the certificate, I could not move in. And I sent a message to the landlord, but no reply was received. I did not check in and the money did not return, in short, the experience is awful

5-4 Stars. It was not the best, but it was way more than I expected. Some corners are not that clean, but most of the hotel is clean. Breakfast was also very good. I would recommend you the chill room and the bar of this hostel (my 2 highlights)!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I actually ended up extending my stay and cancelling my reservation at another Hostel because of how much I loved it here. The restaurant and Bar downstairs are great and you get discounts on food and drinks when you stay here. Which lets face it, helps a lot when you are in London. I would definitely stay here again because of how friendly the workers were, and how comfortable my stay was.

The rooms were very loud- as other reviews have mentioned. We stayed in the pods and they were very clean and cool with the changing coloured lights! The beds were super hard and pillows flat- but pretty standard for a hostel. The location was amazing- but I will say this is not the authentic hostel experience. There isn't really a main area to chill and its hard to meet people- but over all, worth the cost! Also, THEY HAVE AC!! huge bonus points for that

Unfortunately, after checkout if you ask to leave a small bag for an hour or two they will charge £5. Otherwise it's a nice place for short visits. Thanks for the correction. But it should be free as this enhances the trust of the business customers. I am over all very happy with your team (now 3 to 4 star) and their professional attitude.

Convinced that they paid people to write fake good reviews! I love hostels but this was by in far, the worst I've stayed at. I'm not sure how anyone could categorize this as a party hostel either. It was extremely anti-social as there are no common areas, no coordinated events, etc. They have a "chill room" that can fit about 6 people, and they have a partnership with a bar crawl but it's just a bar crawl that you go to on your own that is fairly far from the hostel (20-30 minute tube ride)- not one where you all originate at the hostel together and make friends in as you go through it all together. They have a bar that is "connected" to it, but you still have to exit the building and go through the bar entrance. The hostel is so massive and sleeps tons of people that it is constantly busy in the front desk, bathrooms, etc, but still not in a way that facilitates conversations and people making friends. Towels cost money to use and there is no free luggage storage- two other cons. The hostel was decently clean- not amazing but not horrifying either. They desperately need changing rooms or something, but that isn't just unique to this hostel. Was also a pretty pricey hostel, which doesn't equal quality in this case.

Honestly not sure what all the bad reviews are for, obviously old grouchy people. Great staff, extremely clean, perfect spot for food and seeing all the sights within walking distance! Highly recommend! Attached bar with sports on TV. Blond Front desk girl was extremely helpful and kind!

The idea of capsule beds and the price is affordableIt is very cute and comfortable, the capsule is relatively spacious and you can change colors in the lamp BUT When you get to the room you have earplugs on the bed this probably implies.. My room had bass noise and music from the bar downstairs. It really bothered me! and ruined the experience I wanted to rest after a long day! Plus if you want to shower you will have to pay for towel and soap. Paying for soap is the first time I've come across this. There is no quiet place in the hostel to sit and meet people except the bar which is noisy with music.. It's such a shame... Probably this chain of hostels is less suitable for me.

Some great things as well as some ridiculous things. Great: The sleeping pods are amazing, it truly elevates the hostel experience. The (sleeping pod) bathrooms were always clean Not great: No kitchen An app for your keys (come on) No mixers/programming Noisy but who cares Note to staff: - very squeaky lockers in the pod room. It would wake people up if I accessed them early or late.

Chose to stay here due to price for location and privacy (hostel room style). The capsules were great, and added that much more privacy for hostel accommodation. Plenty of lockable storage in dorm room. However the noise from the bar below was quite frankly something I've never come across before whilst staying in a hostel. Generally ear plugs will do the job if there is unwanted noise, but there is nothing you can do to remedy the bass from the music below. I can't be too harsh as I had read many reviews of the hostel and was aware that this was an issue. I did also get some sleep, it was just not ideal and I couldn't imagine what it would be like for someone who is a light sleeper. Overall, pros: location, privacy, clean. Cons: disturbed sleep +/- ear plugs, a little cramped for space, minimal toilets and showers, check-in strict 3pm, no space in locker room by reception so couldn't leave my bag at hostel and pop out prior to check-in.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I have never written a google review in my life but this place was so bad I feel the need to share. I have stayed in many hostels before, and understand that hostels are not glamorous travelling. However, when purchasing a private room, I have standards for sleep. In 3 nights, I have slept a combined total of 8 hours in my private room due to the immense amount of noise, slamming doors, hand dryers in the bathroom, and people talking directly outside of my room for multiple hours into the night and again at the crack of dawn. Unlucky for me, a group of over 100 young students are checked into this hostel with no regard for others staying. Not to mention, no kitchen, no comfortable common area to eat, luggage room with no lock on the door. On top of this, I have heard 2 different individuals complain of bed bugs at the front desk. Disgusting. For the price I paid to be here, I would quite literally rather sleep on the street.

Worst accommodation of my life. Here to share what you expect from this “party house hostel”. Pro: the location is near the london bridge station, so the tourist destination is nearby. Con: As stated on the website, this is a party house. But here’s what you dont know. The hostel owns a bar on the first floor, and the bar plays loud music until 2:30AM. When you complain the sound issue to the front desk, they will tell you that their hostel is a party house and this is what you expect from a party house, then give you an earplug. Since the hostel owns the bar, if they would like to, they could come up with some mitigation plans yet they just would like to earn extra revenue from the bar at the cost of the hostel customer’s comfort. The place is very outdated too. I stayed at the capsule type bed, where at least more than 25-30 people stay in one room. Yet there were no air ventilation system, and no separate locker than can store a big luggage. The place had an unpleasant smell from the restroom/shower room with some stains from the wall. Beware of non-refund policy if you book directly from their website. My conclusion: this outdated hostel does not care about the customers, and only interested in generating extra revenue from the bar at the expense of the hostel customers. The sound from the bar directly impacts the customers sleeping at a capsule type bed, which is directly above the bar. Even with all this downside, if you wish to book with the hostel, consider not booking directly from their website, which does not allow the refund

If you plan to sleep, please don’t consider staying here. The bar attached to the hostel plays music with bass at a frequency and intensity that makes no logical sense. The music goes on deep into the early hours. I left in the middle of the night. It seems the hostel simply doesn’t care seeing as how many reviews mention this. Take this as a sign for other aspects of the hostel. Also, when the phone app is the ONLY way to get in, it’s no longer convenient but more of an annoyance. Would be better if it was in addition to a physical key card.

I would definitely say that you should know what type of hostel experience you are looking first. As others have said, this hostel is a party hostel. It's great for socializing, the location is amazing and next to some of the liveliest bars, and it's right on top of a bar that plays music past midnight. On the other hand, it's seriously lacking in work space if you are someone who needs to work while traveling, it is really hard. And make sure you have earplugs for the late night music.

I was in the room holding 33 people... I did not sleep at all. To name a few issues: the door slams, the lockers are too small for a midsize suitcase, the beds are noisy and so is the floor. It is located above a pub so people come in and out making it hard to rest. The staff did not seem to care much and were drinking on the job. I checked out as soon as I can. Also the door key is an app so if you forget your phone in your room... good luck getting back in.

Amazing place. Staff was nice, excellent location. I loved breakfast because it's so optional, comfortable beds and people at room as well. A bit noisy beds on street. But not too much. You'll be able to sleep. I have a problem with water pressure on shower one midnight. But next day was ok I won't hesitate to come back in case I need to come back to London.

The rooms were okay. Our room was cleaned well, but the beds were squeaking way too much and the interior was very old. The only power outlets in the room were placed directly above our heads in the bed, which was very inconvenient. The showers were very small, but not dirty at all. The location is awesome, there is a supermarket right next to the Hostel, an Underground station not far away and as the Hostel is directly in the city center, there is almost everything you could imagine just a few minutes away.

Long slow queue for check in, very slow service made slower because you now have to download an app instead of a key card like they used to give, absolutely hate this so won't be using st Christopher's again. Rooms smelly and hot as hell despite having Aircon, lobby Aircon where staff work was working fine of course. Excellent location. Shower was good. (Stayed in dozens of hostels over last 10 years)

Price/quality corresponds I booked this hostel last minute and I did choose the female only 14 bed room. I must say that for 16£ per night in a center of London it was worth my money and in the future I will probably book again. It is a party hostel so expect a lot of people downstairs. I was on the second floor and haven’t heard the music at all, but I did hear people walking in the upper floor and the shower running as I was in a room right next to it. I didn’t might though I’m a very heavy sleeper but someone might find it annoying. You get a discount for the food and special offers for the drinks and if you book through their official website you get a free breakfast which is a perk. The staff was very friendly. Shoutout to the receptionist who did my check-in. He did try to pronounce my surname which is sometimes hard even for my fellow native speakers and was very informative. I might have looked a bit out of it for a minute there but my apologies I was just enjoying being on the other side of check-in because I do the same job and it’s always nice. All I know is that he is Moroccan-Italian and he should get at least a gold star for being so nice. Only complaint I have is for the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It could be a bit better, but it wasn’t catastrophic. Trust me I’ve seen worst. Oh and last thing that impressed me that the female only rooms were completely separate and you could only get there with a card which was fist time I’ve seen in a hostel. Thank you so much for the pleasant stay and hopefully soon again.

The bed was comfortable, the location was good, and the breakfast was sufficient. Other than that this hostel was one of the worst hostels I've stayed at in Europe. The bathroom consistently wreaked of pee throughout our stay and the showers were very dirty. The bar connected to the hostel was absolutely full of creeps. My friend and I were harassed multiple times, and though many staff members saw this, they did absolutely nothing.

*False Advertising Beware* So we booked this hostel based on the amenities IT states it has on their website, which is laundry facilities, coffee & tea areas (as they have no kitchen) and the community room, as I need a place to work from/ sitting area. When we arrived no one nor any signs indicated that any of these facilities where shut down—but our first evening I asked where the laundry was and got informed that service is closed as well as the tea/ coffee are and the common room. All stated “for covid reasons” but their bar is conveniently open. I went to the front desk first thing that morning to ask about a refund and to checkout and was initially informed there would be no issue and they where apologetic about the Issue and as long as we came back before the afternoon, all was well. WELL I left to obtain our covid test as per the law and dropped by another hostel to secure our stay for the next 6 days—and when we came back I spoke to the SAME woman who had told me I could check out today and get a refund and she then tells me that she cannot refund me for today, after arguing to no avail, I was stuck with two booked/ paying for both places due to then telling us we would have no issue with refunding the day and leaving. Absurd. Terrible communication.

Really fun, really relaxing and not too far from central :). I also for the first time here, had my own twin private room which was a new experience for me, great! As before I have stayed in shared rooms, when I stayed in London and Paris, that was good fun then too. But the added privacy is awesome if your going out late in the evenings.

This was my first stay in a hostel. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy everything was. The other travelers in my dorm were very friendly. The room was quiet even though it was full. It's a little difficult to be on the top bunk and store all your stuff under the bottom, because you feel like you are in the way in the small space. But that's to be expected. The bunk was good. I was surprised there weren't more toilets/ showers -but the bathrooms were never full or crowded. I was able to shower any time I needed.

The location of this hostel is just great, giving walkable access to many of the tourist places in London. The reception staff members are friendly and helpful. However, My first stay at this hostel wasn’t very pleasant. Following check-in, I was surprised to find that accessing the room required downloading an app, a somewhat impractical alternative to a conventional key card or key. Had to fill all my personal information to access the app, raising privacy concerns. The room itself proved less than satisfactory; it had an unpleasant odor, lacked proper ventilation with no exhaust, and the bed curtains were insufficient in size for adequate privacy. The windows in the room did not provide sufficient sound insulation, allowing external vehicle noise to disrupt the overall experience. Additionally, the limited seating options, restricted to two tables near the reception, made it challenging to find a comfortable space to relax.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at and will continue to use while I work and commute. The staff are friendly, helpful and just a joy to be around, the bar is great and has a nice atmosphere and the rooms, although they're general shared hostel rooms, there's definitely a feeling of security in this building. Would 100% recommend for people commuting for work, travellers or those just generally wanting a cheaper stay in London for a short period!

For the positive aspects, the location is very good as well as the access to London Bridge tube station nor Borough Market. The dorm (4 beds) located on the top floor is very quiet. For the negative aspects: the front desk available on Sat 17/6/23 around 12:30pm was awful. The girl at the reception was just OK, even if she forgot to give you the breakfast card. Her supervisor was the worst employee you can find in the hospitality industry. Better to sack her as fast as possible, she is just good to replenish shelves in a supermarket at 5AM when you have no customers. She seems to hate her job to a point she becomes agressive and unpleasant. She completely forgot she has customers and not service users.

Great location, underground less than 5 minutes away. The pods are great and they give you a better feeling of intimacy than when you sleep in the usual dorms. I have to say that I was on the 1st floor and that you hear and feel the music until very late night so if you have trouble falling asleep you might want to ask for a higher floor. You have small lockers to store your bags for your stay so bring your own padlock otherwise you 'll have to buy one and they are £4 at the reception. The bathroom was clean and The rooftop is great with a nice view on the Shard.

Travelling solo and stayed here for a few nights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. With the breakfast and bar downstairs it makes it easy to meet other people. Happy the beds had curtains and and a cage to store your belongings. The beds were also very comfortable for being dorm style. Location is perfect for transport and good food spots 👍

I have been well welcomed. Sanitary and the room were clean and tidy.

I was satisfied with my stay and basically think some of the other reviews on Google result from people having unreasonably high expectations for a hostel. The location is outstanding, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, the showers are solid, the other guests are generally normal and friendly, the service was decent, and the prices were great. The pub is directly below the rooms so it’s loud until 1 AM, so don’t come here if quiet is a priority. But if you want a basic clean place to sleep and come back to after full days seeing London, this was satisfactory.

Dusty rooms, less than satisfactory bathrooms, nothing special about the service, no kitchen, ONE CHILL OUT ROOM for a massive hostel?! 3 stars at a push. Only good thing was the central location next to all transport links. Will not return.

Great time. Lots of undergrads college students so it had that vibe. Friendly helpful staff, shout-out to Linda, best front desk person there by far. Bar is great during the day, waaaaay to strict at night. Generally clean. Rooms can get funky if you're a big dorm, but opening a window is key. Couple of sketchy characters, but generally a fun time.

Really the location is all that this place deserves. The staff is very nice, it's true, but the rooms are really disgusting. I only stayed one day and I didn't need more because it smelled horrible, the bathrooms were super dirty and the showers instead of being for washing you seemed to be for getting dirty. You should also know that you are staying above a pub/disco at night, and although the staff was very attentive and the location was very good, I have to be honest with the review. I hope it helped, good luck!

Best hostel to stay in in London! Location is right near 2 train stations, across the road from bus stops, amongst a strip of restaurants, and across the road from Borough Markets. Great food, including vegetarian options, for good value. Big shout out to bartender Ben who made our stay so enjoyable! 10/10 bar service and great local tips for where to check out around town. Would definitely book again.

The bed is comfortable and it is close to most locations in London. Belushies is loud and goes on until the early hours of the morning. I still couldn't sleep well even when I used the free earphones provided as I could still hear the music playing, the sound level was made clear to me when I booked. St christopher's inns hostel London bridge is near good transport links. Any complaints are dealt with promptly and the sleeping pods are kept really clean.

Should you stay here or not? If you are young, want to have a great time, and save some money - this is the place. If you want a quiet stay, this is absolutely not it. The bar downstairs is always popping. Drinks are cheap for guests. People are always socializing. Every single night here, I was able to find a great group to go out and party with. Even managed to make friends in my room, who were talking aloud at midnight (it's fine, I wasn't sleeping anyway). Go to the rooftop patio! Either start or join some conversations there. For me, there was always people. The facilities themselves are alright. For some reason, half the showers and bathrooms on my floor were closed at all times. Cleanliness is satisfactory. Storage for backpacks is spacious, but very noisy and squeaky to open at night. Location is very central. Easy to walk to tower bridge, museums, etc. Big Ben only 20 mins away by Lime bike. I would personally stay here again and would highly recommend those who are looking for a good party hostel to do so too!

Very bad experience and distressing stay I strongly recommend not staying here. On 12/25 our carry on (luggage) was stolen from the room. Manager Julieta's response was that the only thing she could do was give us a free lunch at her bar. Without empathy or putting the customer at the center. She didn't even ask us how we were or tell us any news. We don't understand how a person like that is a hotel manager. We made a statement at the police and are still waiting for someone from the hotel to show us the cameras. A horrible experience in the middle of Christmas and for any tourist I reiterate my recommendation not to go to a place like this

Great location, good value and nice rooms. Dorm beds have curtains, reading light and plugs (1 mains and 2 USB). Would have liked a guest kitchen - even a basic one with a kettle and microwave. Also the social space is currently closed for refurbishment so there wasn't much to do in the evening (except go to the bar).

Lovely clean hostel. Maybe toilets could be better and there could be a sign in the rooms telling not to put the main light on at night because so many people wake you up by putting them on when they please. Otherwise my favourite hostel

Checking in to St christophers village during the day was smooth, was given a ground pod. Got back to my pod at 4am and dragged my self upstairs only to find someone else sleeping in my bed. Back down stairs I went, to be told they had changed things around for some reason?? Whatever. Was given a new top bunk pod and the bed was adequately comfortable, although a mammoth challenge to climb after a few pints! Was told breakfast was part of the deal and when I went to get this I was given a packed lunch, containing an apple, bottle of water, crisps and a sandwich that contained 2 tiny shrivelled old slices of cucumber and 2 even smaller slicers of tomato, no butter or anything else lmao. Get what you pay for but for a bed it was good enough I guess.

I really like this hostel. Highly recommended. Use the London Bridge subway tube to get here. Just 3 blocks south and you re there.

It's a lovely hostel and the rooms are very clean. The toilet and bathroom is clean and in good condition. Friendly staffs and guests lodging there. There's a nice bar. It's so easy to locate and loads of shops in the area. Up to five buses going there and it's near Borough tube station. You can walk 5 minutes to London Bridge and it's a very nice area.

Had a good stay here! My room was a private twin on the top floor with a skylight. It had a desk and AC which was great. The bathrooms were usually clean except late in the evening. Be aware you can hear the music from the bar downstairs even on the 5th floor and on a Wednesday night, but with ear plugs you’re fine. Bed was comfy and check in staff friendly! At £44 a night (booked a month in advance) the location can’t be beaten

Cool staff, clean facilities, warm room, easy check in! Anyone that wants a nice hostel to chill in come here. I didn’t socialise too much as I was working but the bar downstairs looked like it was always popping off!

I loved the time spent here. The free breakfast was like cherry on cake. Staff was good. Stay was relaxing. All things about this place were best and the best among these all was location. I am in scarce of words for this place and 5 stars are way less

  • 1/5 james b. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the worst hostel I've ever slept in. Found a massive bogey on my pillow, general smell of urine, continuous music from below and next door all night long, the toilets are literally leaning on one side, and it's not even a good value for money, but it was the only half decently priced option left in London. The front-desk lady knew it was a scam also, With the owners making huge profits!

  • 1/5 Thomas G. 2 years ago on Google
Avoid this place completely SCAM!!!! It has a very low quality costumer service. I had a reservation made for 4 nights, and they tried to charge me the total amount before my arrival, otherwise they would cancel my reservation. They insisted on this despite the fact that their own website states that these fees are paid on the arrival. HostelWorld, the website I used to make my reservation, also states the same. I sent the screenshots and requested for the website link where they can charge you in advance. They didn’t proved their argument but stated it categorically. It took me several calls before to be able to communicate with them and when I did, they insisted on the same arguments, unsubstantially. Moreover, they even asked for my card details to confirm my reservation!! I cancelled this reservation and lost the deposit, and the train tickets fees. They also put me in a very difficult situation to find last minute and affordable accommodation.

Me and my friends stayed here in march. The fact we weren't aware that it was a party hostel was the first of many things that were hideous. The food was terrible, the beds left me and one of my friends in agony, the shower wasn't big enough for me to even fit in! I'm not a big girl okay...I'm curvy yes but it was like a 1x1ft stall. The music was loud all night and the drunks outside made it hard to sleep. The bathrooms were always freezing because no one would close the window even when asked so I had to do it myself so my friends could go in there and not freeze. I'm 5ft 8. I almost knocked myself out trying to sit up out of bed. The people we saw were rude and didn't really care for us, we had to argue to get ear plugs even though it said EVERYWHERE that they were free and to not tube worried to ask! Overall...I would much rather stay in a Premier. This really put me off my trip to London.

So the rooms were okay, the beds were clean and it was fine for a 2 night stay. The bathroom on our floor was a bit mweh, the shower never got warm so I had to have a cold shower… and it was overall not that hygienic. The staff were very friendly and the bar was also nice.

I really liked the capsule rooms in the hotel, I was intrigued by the concept of it and this was my perfect introduction to them. The food in the restaurant was delicious! The staff was kind and helpful. The shared bathroom was clean. I definitely enjoyed my stay!

I wasn’t sure at first but we needed a place to stay that was affordable. Friendly, clean, amazing shower with better water pressure than I have at home. Like the privacy curtains, if you need a lock for the locker it’s £4 or pack your own. The rooms hold approximately 30 beds (triple bunks) they are mixed or you can ask for an all female room. Location is great, lots of buses and London Bridge Underground just down the street. I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say 😁. We are from Canada and I would stay here again!!

I was surprised at the cleanliness of the place and the girl who I shared a room with were all very quiet at night time. I would definitely stay again and I would recommend it to others.

Awesome modern hostel with colours and music, and all the facilities. I was in 8 people room, the place was clean and you'll meet a lot of people. You can rent towels and take water for free from the dispenser,so bring your own bottle. Beds with curtains for your own privacy. Good

When I first checked in there was gum stuck to the side of my bed. The staff all seemed quite new and the service was pretty slow. It also seemed as though they lock you out 10 minutes before checkout time because everyone in my room tried to get in and our cards had all been disabled. We had to wait in the incredibly long checkout line to get them re-enabled so that we could get our bags and leave, which left me making my train by one minute. Would have been nice to know so could’ve planned accordingly.

The location of this hostel is just perfect, it’s close to nearly every tourist attraction you would want to visit plus the price is very cheap. The toilets and rooms were clean at all times. The people at front desk especially Manuel very helpful. I would recommend this place to all solo and budget traveler’s

Nice location near two Tube stations. I slept in a private capsule. I am a good sleeper and wasn’t bothered by the noise from the club below, but I could imagine many would. Especially the drum of the bass… I found the bathroom for the capsule dorm very clean and quite spacious. Can imagine coming back. Book directly for free breakfast!

I’ve stayed in hostels before but never one quite like this. Staff were all lovely and super helpful, it was very clean and beds were comfortable. A special thanks to Gosia and Nico who ensured we had an amazing staff. Will definitely be back!

Very clean showers, toilets, etc. Bedding clean and comfortable. The capsules were nice and cosy and provided more privacy than normal hostel beds. The lighting was a nice touch too. Staff were friendly and informative, and the bar downstairs was great for cheap drinks and a nice place to chill out. Breakfast was a little basic but with covid meaning they can’t do a buffet, that’s understandable! Great stay for the price 😊 Given four out of five because the music could be heard through the floor, but that didn’t stop us from sleeping!

  • 5/5 Jack B. 1 year ago on Google
Was initially a bit skeptical as the price was incredibly cheap. I was thinking, ‘’it must be too good to be true.’’ Fortunately, my worries were put at rest once I entered the hostel. The receptionist was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were nice and clean. However, if I may nitpick, the block of wood in front of the shower and bathroom doors catches many off guard. I’ve nearly tripped over a couple of times. Nonetheless I’m very pleased with my stay and will return!

They must overbook their rooms. Big disturbance in the middle of the night of a guest telling my bunk mate he was in his bed in our at-capacity room — I left the room and he took my bed instead. Asked front desk for a refund considering I didn’t have a bed anymore/was annoyed at the situation but nope, wasnt given one. Said he couldn’t refund me for the night despite my bed being stolen. Rip off. Rooms are small and packed full of coughing guests during a pandemic also. Bathrooms smell. Cancelled the rest of my nights and went elsewhere.

The beds are decently sized and all of the bathrooms are cleaned frequently. The continental breakfast has a good selection. All of fhe staff are super friendly and helpful. The chef went out of his way to say good morning to us and to let him know if anything needed topping up. A well priced and all round great hostel.

  • 1/5 Greta S. 10 months ago on Google
I always have low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of privacy the curtains provided in even the 22 bed room. I would've said I'd stay again if it weren't for the insanely loud bar below. No matter the night of week do not expect to fall asleep before 3 am no matter the earplugs you wear. The vibrations are unlike anything I have experienced before. Every night around 2 I have used a decibel meter and it occasionally reached 110 dB while never going below 85 which is immensely above the point in which is dangerous to hearing health. Party hostels are fun to meet people and have a good night but this is merely from the outside sports bar that is connected below. It felt borderline disrespectful to even build a place for sleeping above this place, as even if you have a late night the same 5 people in the bar below will keep you up all week long. Extremely disappointed, especially since we moved to this hostel from Generator London earlier in our stay for a new experience. I am extremely picky about he reviews of cleanliness and safety in a hostel, and this has changed my outlook, as those things cannot make up for no sleep and discomfort. I wish I could say otherwise, but I would never recommend this hostel, but rather check out other party hostels that initiate community and fun with fellow hostel goers but explore the town at various pubs, bars, or clubs, rather than just steps from hostel entrance. Extremely disappointed and will absolutely never recommend this hostel. Despite the nice location, I would opt for spending 8x the price rather than ever stay here again.

Really helpful staff, cool vibe and great location. The bar downstairs is a party until 2am every night if that’s your thing… the only downside is that the soundproofing is not good, so that in my room, on the first floor, I could hear the music until it shut off at 2AM. but with earplugs it’s not much of a problem. Minor issue for an affordable hostel worth visiting.

As most of the visitors to St Christopher's Inn Village hostel (s) are foreign visitors; here is an viewpoint from an English person. Firstly, i am not sure that i agree with ' triple bunk beds ', although i can understand why the hostels might have them. I was on the bottom bunk bed, with limited space; if i remember i will have a middle bunk next time. However, they need to consider the cleaners, they have to change the sheets; a difficult job for them. There was a problem with the door to my room, however i managed to download the app and got into my room that way. I was having a conversation with a member of staff about having a good ' temperament ' in all walks of life; particularly if one wants to become an astronaut. Always important to keep a cool head at all times. The shower, on the first floor, was so powerful; there might have been enough propulsion to have launched a small rocket! So, i would advise that their maintenance look at the showers and the doors. Nevertheless, a fun atmosphere ( excuse the pun! ) and i was very impressed with the reception staff; all very friendly.

Really good hostel! I stayed in a 10 bed room. It was very clean - each bed had curtains for privacy, two plugs, a lamp, and a locker. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly and staff was available 24/7. Internet connection was reliable too. Location is very central, not far from landmarks or transport hubs. Would recommend anyone to stay here!

Good location, a walk away from borough market and london bridge station. I booked the capsule and had already read reviews of the bar playing music till late. Hence, wasn’t an issue for me. The shower area was clean. However, the two toilet stalls were closed during the whole duration of stay. Not sure why. Everyone in the capsule room was sharing the accessible toilet instead. If you have sensitive skin however, the beds might not be for you. I left the hostel with bug bites and saw a bug on my bed one night as well. Perhaps something for the personnel to look into. I missed a day in my booking due to my flight getting cancelled and the hostel has a strict non refundable policy. just to note

Our review of the hostel: We booked a 6 person room Pros: - Great location. Very central. - Price is very cheap compared to other accommodation - Great pub right on the ground floor. Cosy in the afternoon. Various events in the evening. There is a discount for hotel guests Negatives: - Very small room for 6 people. - Very little space for clothes, jackets, suitcases. With little investment you could make much more of it here - Only one chair in the room. No sitting together possible in the evening - No light in the corridor for 2 days. (It was repaired on Monday, no workman at the weekend - Several bathrooms locked and "out of order" - Cleanliness so-so... - No own washbasin in the room

This hostel is only for people who wants to party all night because it is very difficult to get some sleep. The hostel has a pub downstairs and it is obvious that they play music which is absolutely fine but the problem is with the bass of music which will vibrate the beds and honestly if you are sober you can never sleep here. So if you are someone who wants to sleep and wake up early, this hostel is definitely not the right choice. The bathrooms are very dirty, and I would blame the people who uses them, because every single person is an adult and has no common sense of cleanliness. The staff at the reception are rude and are not supportive enough for their own clients. I would only recommend this place if you do not want to sleep when you are in London.
