This company is a scam. My shower and kitchen sink was blocked when I checked in. 6 people came to “look at it” and they send a plumber 2 weeks later. The studio was not clean (dust build up on top on windows, on the floor and in the fan ans because you can’t open your window, if your fans are blocked you can’t breathe ever). The place is NOT safe for women, several guys were being really creepy with me throughout my stay. They don’t care who lives there. The neighbourhood is shady (a lot of crackheads) and once I moved out I asked about the procedure to 2 different members of staff and on the day no one was there … they also “forgot to give me my deposit back” so now I have to call them from a European number to retrieve it. Ohhh and the laundry room is Disgusting

I applied to do some volunteer work with LHA. They didn't respond so I sent an email to chase up a reply from them. They then responded; offering me a telephone interview and asking when I was available. I responded promptly however didn't hear back from anyone. I then sent another email enquiring about this as well as some other enquiries about volunteer work on other sites, and they told me that they already sent me an email offering me an interview and ignored my other questions. I then informed them that I'd actually responded to that email already but received no reply. Guess what? yet again, LHA didn't respond. Instead, they sent me a generic email saying 'We carefully reviewed your application and have decided not to proceed further. We appreciate the time you invested in applying for this position at LHA London Ltd.' Absolutely appalling customer service.

I stayed in Friendship House near Borough Market, fantastic location as a base during the week and it saves me commuting back and forth each day to my home in Sussex. Affordable prices meant that I saved on train fares and the hassle of standing around for trains! There is no catering facility at this location as there are at most of LHA other houses but there is a communal kitchen that I was able to prepare and cook my own food. I would certainly recommend LHA London and in particular Friendship House whether you are a commuter like me or a student or intern. Made some good friends too which is a plus

Horrible company. I DO NOT recommend. I moved out promptly after they shut the windows in their building so that you don't even have fresh air. There was zero airflow in the building already before with windows barely opening halfways, but it got even worse. You can't even breathe in these buildings and they began closing off the windows leaving only a small opening. Everyone was complaining about it. The kitchen would get so hot and smelly it was revolting to cook anything. It was unliveable in addition to being dirty, having poor water flow in the showers, extremely poorly maintained, hugely overpriced. Just disgusting.

Stayed at LHA a few times mostly in Sandeman Allen. Always friendly staff and location is perfect.

Good price, BUT: usually problems with the showers, in my case problem with my bed for 2 months (it was broken and the dont fix it), paper walls (I can listen my neighbors, the reception, people outside, etc...), and the worst, the food (every single day bad food and small porcions of this, right now in Bowden Court they are controlling that the porcions are especially smalls and you can´t repeat).

LHA is a truly toxic company (not a charity. there's nothing charitable about them) where people don't matter. Once they went too far and started closing the airflow by adding locks on the windows allowing no airflow into the building and rooms and you keep breathing stagnant air all the time, people started moving out. DON'T waste your time with this place. It's not cheap either and the facilities are so poorly kept most showers don't even work, little is maintained well and it wouldn't qualify to remain open in any Western European country.

I highly rate Davies Court where I stayed at for 4 weeks during summer. The facilities were very modern and the kitchen was very well equipped! It was clean and even had a gym! The location was absolutely brilliant, being only a 5 minute walk away from Canary Wharf and some great restaurants, and also a 10-15 minute tube ride from the centre of London! Above all, the staff at the hostel were fantastic! They made my stay incredibly comfortable and they were all so helpful and lovely.

I've had plenty of experience at LHA. Mine are positive. The value for money is very good. Locations have been very good. My room: comfortable and refurbished. Facilities and food are good. Above all, I've liked the managers running the places I've visited. Bowden Court and New Mansion House. Having someone responsible and even-handed helps a lot. I am grateful to Eva, Chika and Lenny for their sober and prudent approach. I find that people are usually a shadow of the boss. So if the boss is calm, it rubs-off on everyone else, for example. Overall, it has worked well. A pleasant and peaceful atmosphere; the large majority of the time. You can call it home.

Made applications for five hostels and rang them twice, got no response. They give no information about the availability of rooms and the chatbot is useless. They need to update their booking system as it is useless.

Horrible experience, especially with one of the staff members. This person treated me in a very questionable manner and then tried to cover it up by telling a completely different version.
