Easily approachable by road. Elephant safari is available with prior booking. If u want to stay in cottage then prior booking can be done on UP tourism website, dormitories are also available. Gypsy for jungle safari can be booked in the office itself, charges are nominal. Only vegetarian food is available in the mess, except for eggs, at reasonable price. It's very rare to see a tiger because they do not take you to core area, only buffer zone is allowed for tourists, but pug marks can be seen. There are many watch towers in jungle also. Dudhwa is home for several species of deer and birds also. Elephant is a better option for safari in rhino range. If you are going with family and by road then it's better to travel in day time because after lakhimpur, road is surrounded by dense jungle so day time is more safe.

A heaven for nature and wildlife lovers. 1. Affordable Safaris ranging from 3-4000, affordable hotels from 1500 to plush Resorts in the heart of wilderness. 2. Quite sincere and warm locals. Easily accessible by road as by Air (Lucknow being nearest airport). 3. Easy to spot Rhinos, Tigers, Hog Deers, Bears, Cheetals, crocodiles, pythons and a huge range of Wild birds. Do remember to carry your Bino and cameras along. 4. The Dudhwa is in vicinity of Nepal order too, which is an open border if you want to go for a tour. 5. Also, 50km in vicinity is Kartaniya Ghat, famous for Dolphins. 5. Tips: Do carry full sleeve tshirts in summers, with high ankle shoes. In winters, carry good jackets, its pretty cold in the Tarai. Also, beware of monkeys, don't flaunt fruits or Chips packets in open and invite trouble. And, Book a Hotel but do have a look once you land up there. If you don't like it, there are atleast 20 gr8 options.

Undoubtedly One of the best National Parks in India. You got to be really prepared if you are travelling between November to February as it’s going to be really cold weather. The Dudhwa Terai region is a magical land and I really fell in love with this place. The people around this place and of course the food is amazing. The Wildlife Safari is also a great experience and the forest is beautiful and pristine. A must visit for a Nature and Wildlife lovers.

National Park is easily accessible from Bareilly, Bareilly 152Km from Bus stand. I will prefer route of Bareilly to Dudhwa via Bisalpur as Road is fantastic to give wheels speed of 40-60Km/hr throughout journey but in Stretch of Khutar-Banda road is being constructed that will complete by April 2022 hopefully. In way one can observe - Tractors carrying sugarcanes if you are traveling in months of Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March. So destination is rewarding so does ways. And about national park, it's totally you luck if you spot tiger there as Forest as usual remains dense with herbs and shrubs. But it is not Tiger for which tourist must visit park, its beauty, other animals and birds and serenity of jungle that defines real thrill. And last be alert with your camera after passing palia kalan as you can spot rare birds - Hornbils, Black necked storks. Thanks, do visit park.

If you love dense forest, then this is it. Its situated near Nepal border and close to Lucknow/Shahjahanpur/Philibhi/Bareilly. You'll easily find elephants, deer, wild hogs, crocodile, wild bird species, etc. Though tiger sighting is difficult due to dense large trees. Very well maintained guest house by U.P Tourism.

Guide and drive not worry about your trip they will take you in jungle and drop you back..and Its ur luck incase you find Tiger. The area are they cover is useless(if you expect animals) and You are going to waste money.

I was here on 2021 New Year Eve. I think national parks are best place to visit during new year. Peaceful environment and fresh air is something to cherish. Dont save money on guide,Do take a guide. Elephant safari is not available throughout the year.. do check before visiting. Trust me !! Make tiger sightings, a last priority you will enjoy this place.

Dhudhwa National Park is not very commercialised and this has limited safaris and vehicles available. The forest is very dense and has large population of tigers, rhinos, etc.We see the different breeds of deer, wild fowl, monkeys, birds, otters and several water birds. The safari vehicles are good and the Forest is very beautiful.

Nestled in the Lakhimpur-Kheri District of Uttar Pradesh on Indo-Nepal border, Dudhwa National Park is all about wildlife, nature and diversity and is a perfect getaway for nature buffs and wildlife lovers. The place inhabits plethora of rare and endangered species including Tiger, Hispid hare, Swamp deer, Bengal Florican and Leopard etc. Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is one of the finest tiger reserves where one can also witness the spellbinding herds of Barasingha in the grassy wetlands. The place is not only home to animals but also varied species of birds nearing 400 that will leave you enchanted. From bulbuls, kingfishers and woodpeckers to owls, barbets, orioles and bee eaters, the place is home to several exotic and migratory birds. With stupefying diversity, this incredible natural abode for birds and animals will be nothing short of bewitching experience. The national park do have their own arrangements for safari, however you can hire jeeps or mini buses from outside to explore the wilderness and diversity of the area. Elephant ride is another option where elephant mahouts also act as your tour guide.

Nice place for one-time visit, don't expect to see any wildlife other than deer and wild pigs. Rooms and safari are quite expensive and canteen food is passable at best. Seemed a bit exploitative in terms of the fact that we had to eat dinner outside and return by 8.30pm or the gates would close. The only other option is to eat in the canteen which isn't great. Overall okay place to visit.

The area of the park falls within the Upper Gangetic plains and is a vast alluvial plain ranging in altitude from 150 m (490 ft) in the farthest southeast to 182 metres (597 ft) in the extreme north. The park's mosaic of high forest interspersed with grasslands is characteristic of the Terai ecosystems in India and the area is, probably, the last prominent remnant of this type of ecosystem. The forests, especially the sal forests, have always been very dense and can be categorized into northern tropical semi-evergreen forest, northern Indian moist deciduous forest, tropical seasonal swamp forest and northern tropical dry deciduous forest. The main flora comprises sal, asna, shisham, jamun, gular, sehore and bahera. The grasslands comprise about 19% of the park. The wetlands constitute the third major habitat type and include the rivers, streams, lakes and marshes. While many of the major wetlands are perennial with some amount of surface moisture retained round the year, some dry up during hot summer. The park is home to one of the finest forests in India, some of these trees are more than 150 years old and over 70 ft (21 m) tall.

The Indian Barasingha or Swamp Deer, is an endangered species of deer, and can be seen in protected sanctuaries in India. They derive their name from the large antlers of the adult male Barasingha, which may grow to have more than 12 points, hence the translation of its name in Hindi, 12- antlered Deer. They are largely seen in the wild, in the Dudhwa National Park in Uttar Pradesh in North India, the Kanha and Indravati National Parks in Madhya Pradesh in Central India and Kaziranga and Manas National Parks in Assam in North East India. Kanha National Park has an amazing success story on protecting and increasing the number of this amazing species in India.

Going through the trails of Dudhwa, one can visit a variety of landscapes and encounter wild animals in their natural habitat. Based on the time of the year, one can see groups of wild elephants, tortoise, deers, cheetals, jackals, rhinoceros and flocks of beautiful birds. Though sighting of tiger is particularly rare, but one is free to try his/ her luck. Another amazing thing to witness is the ambience particularly the naturally occurring smell of the woods. It feels truly ecstatic and mesmerizing in combination with the sounds of birds and animals.

It's an excellent terai forest. 5 types of deer species cheetal, sambar, hog deer, barking deer and swamp deer are seen here. Lot of birds. If lucky one find tiger, leopard and sloth bears here.

The feel of forest is enticing but don't expect a lot of animals in the wild. Due to heavy influx of tourists, the sighting of animals has reduced. But still it's a one time visit.

For nature lovers, this place is heaven. Don’t get high hopes for Tiger seeing. Tiger seeing is on your own luck. Many types of birds, Deer, Snakes and many other Animals. You will Also get chance to see Rhinos but at the end your luck matters.

You have to bargain a little with the guides because they try to get more out of you. Other than that it is a beautiful experience. The guides are genuinely interested in showing you the forest and you can catch sight of some animals, but tigers are tough.

Lovely place but rates are a bit too high. Better to stay outside in a private hotel.

Extremely beautiful and lush green jungle...if you are a nature lover, you must visit but please avoid littering there. It is a chance of luck if you find a tiger there.

Travel here for one of those rare experiences in today's civilized world, you get to see wild animals in their wild habitat while constantly wishing they don't attack you. It's thrilling and instills a sense of deep respect for the natural world. PS: one less star cause I didn't get to see that elusive tiger they kept blabbering about throughout the ride.
