That's great to see the tiger in the sector 4 & 5 at the evening time. Nice forest to have safari with a great safari experience. Driver and guide both were too good with lot of experience about the tiger spotting. and book the tickets directly from the govt site and 3rd party brokers charge around 1500 and you and directly book tickets from govt site at around 720 per person!! popular zones are 2,4 and 5.

One of the best places in the world to see the Tigers. Excellent protection of Tigers through the support of Government of Rajasthan/Rajasthan Forest Department. Visibility of Tigers is in all the Zones and best time to see them is during the summer time April-June around water points. The park is closed during monsoon times July-September.

Viewing the dangerous wild tigers at a short distance in their natural wild environment during jungle safari is indeed an unforgettable wildlife experience of whole life! And Ranthambore National Park Tiger Safari in Rajasthan, INDIA makes this dream possible. We took the safari on Jan 3rd morning and experienced tiger encounter for almost an hour in Zone 3. The tiger followed one of our safari too. The experience was unforgettable and great family time spent together. We were 15 of us with three Safari's. Our safari guides were all amazing and it depends a lot on them for the tiger sightings. They follow the calls of other animals to spot the tigers. Apart from the tigers we spotted a lot of other varieties of animals and birds as well.

Beautiful forest. The morning safari is the best as you get to see the sunrise and lots of different birds. Would recommend selecting zone between 1 to 5 as these have the maximum possibility of tiger sightings and early mornings have more chances of you seeing a tiger rather than evening safari. I visited in October, all zones were open. Did 4 safaris on consecutive days, one in afternoon and 3 in morning, were able to spot tigers twice. Mind blowing place to experience Indian wild life. The mountainous roads, the waterfall on the way, the view from the top, the stone carved road, the whole experience was really fun and adventures. Morning safari- 5:45am pick up - 10:30am drop Evening safari- 2:30pm pick up - 6:30pm drop

Good national park. Did two safari on consecutive days, one in afternoon and other in morning, were able to spot tigers in both. However they were mostly sleeping. Was told that tigers mostly sleep in summers. Drivers and guides do make effort to spot the tiger, they pretty much know the signs when tiger is nearby. They do help you capture the best shot under the constraints. Some advice, carry enough of water and drinks, there is nothing inside. In summer, carry sunglasses and cap. Carry good optical zoom camera, sometimes tigers are far away, digital zoom on phone camera is not good enough. Pay for video camera if you are carrying one. There can be surprise check. Surprised to find washroom inside, was told every zone has one. There is no phone network, so plan to be unreachable on phone for several hours.

Had a great experience at Ranthambore national park . It is divided into 10 zones . We did two safaris :one in zone 3 & one is zone 2 . We spotted tiger 🐅 in zone 3 . Zone three has 3 tigers . The chances of spotting a tiger in this zone is very high , as it is having two big water bodies. I did many jungle safaris but experience at Ranthambore was amazing as we saw animals very closely. We saw deer’s 🦌 wild boar 🐗 , sambhar deer🦌 , crocodile 🐊, lot of baboons 🐒 , many birds 🦅, peacocks 🦚 & many Beautiful landscapes 🏞

Beautiful forest but we were unlucky to spot a tiger during our visit in zone 3 and 5. But one must be patient enough as we are not visiting zoo. Will definitely revisit during summers and wish to be lucky at that time.

Ranthambore National Park is the most beautiful place in India to see flora and fauna at it's best. It is an awesome place to see tigers, wildlife and natural beauty. The early morning jungle safari gives a different kind of experience to tourists coming from different corners of the globe.

Hmm so start with safari based on your ticket bookings, gypsy🚙 or canter.🚌 I will suggest gypsy gives you better experience (if your pocket allows).💰 Gypsy can give you the rides through shrink paths as well and that top locations that the advantage in Gypsy over Canter.✌️ 10 zones are there and as per the forest department 1-6 Zones have more probability for spotting TIGERS. 🐯🐯 Preferred Month would be from March onwards to summer end as per forest guides.🙌🙌 Tiger spotting is totally based on your luck 🤞🤞 there is no surety that you will surely get a chance to see a 🐅🚫🚫. For more please see the pics😁

Had two great safari drives in Ranthambore. On the first we saw Samba Deer, Crocodiles and a Jungle Cat. On the second drive, we had seen the above again but little else. In the last 30 minutes, we saw a leopard, sloth bear and then the Royal Bengal Tiger. Completely excited truck full of happy people. Only minor negatives being lack of commentary from safari guide and definite language barrier Overall, Was an amazing day in a beautiful setting

Tiger sightings are easier in Summer months, April-May. We went on three Safaris, during April 29-30 and were lucky to spot Tigers in two of those. Used both a Canter (can seat 20) and Gypsy (can seat 6). Both have their pros and cons. Do your research and closer to your date of visit, select the zone carefully (where recent sightings have been reported).

It was just terrific. One of the most beautiful national park where probability of finding tiger is much more expectable then any other national park. I met Sultana (most aggressive tigress) it was memorable moment for me and ya i was lucky that i got the chance to meet her on entry gate. Short not too long just visit here.

The best time to visit for tiger sighting is before monsoon as most zones are closed after, make sure to book in advance, and wear neutral colors on safari. Better experience with gypsy than canter. There are two check points, no one is allowed to get out of the car in the jungle. Even if you don't see tigers go for the scenery!!

Try going for a jeep safari as that is a much better experience. The drivers and guides are really good and try their best for a sighting. I was lucky to have sighted two tigers in one safari in Zone 5. I feel blessed. It's safe so don't worry about a thing. The national park is beautiful and peaceful. Try to absorb the nature while being there.

I had an incredible experience on the Ranthambore Safari! The natural beauty and wildlife in Ranthambore National Park are truly breathtaking. Our safari guide was knowledgeable and passionate, enhancing our understanding of the park's diverse ecosystem. We were fortunate to spot a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and numerous bird species. The thrill of seeing these animals in their natural habitat is something I'll never forget. The park's conservation efforts are commendable, and I hope future generations can also enjoy the wonders of Ranthambore. Overall, it was an unforgettable adventure that I highly recommend to anyone with a love for nature and wildlife.

Ranthambore National Park is an absolute gem and a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. This vast expanse of wilderness is not only one of the most beautiful national parks but also a sanctuary for diverse animal species, prominently featuring the majestic Indian royal tiger. The park offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to witness the grandeur of these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. The high probability of spotting a tiger adds an exciting element to the visit, making it an unforgettable experience for wildlife enthusiasts. Even if the elusive tiger remains hidden, the thrilling jungle safari itself is worth the trip. The well-organized safaris provide a unique chance to explore the rich biodiversity, with knowledgeable guides enhancing the experience by sharing insights about the flora and fauna. Ranthambore National Park truly delivers an immersive and awe-inspiring encounter with nature, making it a top-tier destination for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

Stunning national park with beautiful views at sunrise. Mixture of grassland, woodland and desert rock. Visited three times for a "tiger safari" which mainly consisted of deer and monkeys. Love that 80% of the park is not visited by humans and hopefully this means that the tigers in the area are well protected. They remained elusive throughout this trip although signs of then were seen and heard. Lovely experience but my advice would be don't expect to see any tigers!

I saw 2 Tigers in my 4th safari here. Amazing sighting and the guides were really helpful. Go for Gypsy as that can increase your chances of sighting and also be patient because it is very much based on your luck. The joy of spotting Tiger in the woods is just way too amazing. We were really happy to have witnessed the Tiger just in front of our vehicle. Amazing Place, will keep visiting for sure!

Go with family and friends and enjoy the jungle time. Nice hotels there to stay. I am unable to recall my resort but I will check and update it later. Avoid going in luxury car as most of the terrain is rough. My resort is recommended as food was awesome, it had pool and not far from places. Go for safari and in the same day see the museum as well as pick up is near museum. Book well in advance and ask your hotel to book. It was about 110-1300 per person. Take water bottle and some snacks along. Go and enjoy. Don't go in peak summer or rainy season. You will be in open vehicle for 1-3 hours so wear your shades and sunscreen as well 😁👍🏼.

Would recommend selecting zone 4,5 and 6 as these have the maximum possibility of tiger sightings and early mornings have more chances of you seeing a tiger rather than evening safari. I would recommend not to book for zone 8 and 9 as they will have the least probability of you seeing a tiger. This season a lot of tiger sightings will be seen due to increased number in the park :)

Do not expect that you will see a tiger strolling. It is very very very rare for a common person to spot a tiger. We went thrice in morning and evening and were not lucky enough. However the Admin keeps tracking and takes VIPs to show them tigers but not commoners like us who buy tickets. Go for Zone 3 only which is the signature zone of Ranthambore and the safari itself is very amazing with 3 lakes and many fort areas. Enjoy the beauty of nature and you will not be disappointed with Zone 3

Wait ! Read carefully March to June are the best month to spot tigers Try to book your safari from zone 1 to 5 which has more chances to spot tigers You don’t have to book in advance . They will tell you whole story that the safari are fully booked but there plenty of safari companies can take you anytime . Don’t pay fortune . Rs 800 to Rs 1200 per person is the best deal We went in Jan 24 and did not spot any tigers except deers and Neel cow and different birds species

Ranthambore national park is one of the top five national parks in India on my list. You can see the forest in its full glory if you visit during mid October to mid November time frame. The vegetation is lush green during this time, it hinders spotting to some extent but to see nature in full bloom more than compensates for it. Its heaven for photographers as landscapes are stunning and can be creatively used for compositions. Tiger remains one of the most sought after animal as with every tiger reserve, apart from tigers several species of birds can be spotted around three lakes. There are several other animals including the Indian python. View of the majestic Ranthambore fort from the park is mesmerizing. Take a break near Padma lake and enjoy the landscape. Zone 3 is the largest and busiest zone, entry to the fort is adjacent to entry gate for zone 3. Choose a property outside the town for your stay and enjoy beautiful 360 degree views of the Aravalis and the buffer zone.

Lovely national park, great birding and reasonable chance of seeing tigers (sadly not for us). The canters zoom around like nobodies business, but keep to the tracks. Does get a bit busy and other than some nice deer and more peacocks then you’ll see in a life time, there isn’t that many animals, but the 🐅 is what you are there for.

This National Park serves as a sanctuary for various species of fauna and flora. It's notable for Tigers of which there are 80+ in the park at the time of this review. It's also a rare grey forest area where visibility is easily 1-2km this making it the most ideal National Park to sight tigers among other animals. Definitely worth visiting and enjoying the safari. Safaris are by zones and you may or may not be lucky to sight a tiger in your zone. Nonetheless the safari experience itself is worth it. Note though that the best time to visit is in the summer (June-July). If you do the winter safari make sure to layer up as the wind chill effect really brings the cold in.

First of all, Tiger is the main Attraction here and you have to be clear that seeing a Tiger is purely just LUCK ! Advance booking is highly recommended as the offline booking counters are not efficient and systematic The reserve forest is of 10 different zones and have two shifts for safari rides Either it's a canter or gypsy, seeing tiger is not guaranteed. You will be provided with a guide and driver But still you can explore the other animals like deers, peacock, snake and experience the ride through the woods Don't keep your expectations high for the tiger

We visited the national park in the beginning of December. The trip made me realize two things in life. 1. Patience and 2. Luck We had booked one morning zone 3(6.30 am) and one evening zone 2(2.30 pm) safari. On the first safari we were able to spot a leopard. All congratulated us as leopard sightings are supposed to be rare. But we had come here for the tiger and nothing else would complete the trip. So themorning safari ended with no sighting and news that tiger had been sighted in zone 4 and 5 . With heavy heart we went back had a beeakfat and got rwady for the second safari. We saw great no to deer and antelopes mongoose crocodiles and birds but no sighting of tiger. The safari ended with no sighting again with news that tiger had been sighted in zone 4 again. We had to leave for Delhi in the morning but made a decision to take another safari next day morning zone 3. Next morning we went back with not much hope. After 2 -3 false alarms finally we saw a tiger in all its glory. It is worth all the trouble that one takes in a trip like this. Takeaway points 1. Not every safari trip will have a sighting 2. Zone 3 and 4 are the best zones to visit right now but these change with time so if possible ask a local guide before booking. 3. Direct booking of gypsy and cantor is possible through Rajasthan tourism site but agents are able to get arrangements done even if website shows full. 4. Not much difference between gypsy and Cantor except that gypsies are able to respond faster in the jungle.

Very good national park for tiger reserve. Unfortunately missed seeing the tiger! Most of the zones has good scenic views of the ever lasting landscape. Must visit this place, there are so many guest house resort accommodations nearby. Best time to visit during winter time!

We have visited this reserve in August and there were only 2 zones opened. Number 6 and 10. These are buffer zones. In the early morning we were entered and seen 3 tigers and a lot of deers in zone 6. In the evening we were in zone 10 and unfortunately haven’t seen any tiger but some other wildlife. For some people it’s a once in lifetime but I think we will be visiting this tiger reserve every year…R

We visited Ranthambore National Park in the month of November during our Diwali Holidays!! We took two safaris- Morning session and the evening session. We were so lucky to spot a Tiger in our Evening session Safari which was in the Zone 3. Zone 3 is the most scenic zone out of all as it got lakes!

A huge forest area which shelters a large number of flora and fauna including tigers, peacocks, deers, boars and many more birds and animals. You should definitely go for a safari and you might see a tiger if you're lucky but you'll definitely see all the other animals and birds in their natural habitat. Regarding the booking, you can book online or offline at the ticket counter (there are different prices for different "types of sources" so make sure you do your research).

Have been to a Jim Corbett several times but never spotted a tiger maybe luck , but was graced with a sighting twice in Ranthambore national park and what a sighting it was just 3 mtrs from the Jeep thrilling experience, so some tips I gathered was the sighting depends on time and season so please enquire from your guides or hotel which zone to book and when , also there is a factor of luck you are in tiger territory not vice a versa it's totally tigers wish to move or rest , also saw a lot.of tourists trying to feed the birds PLEASE DO NOT FEED ANY BIRD OR ANIMAL IN THE PARK it disturbs the ecological system also worth noting is you are not allowed to step down from your vehicle anywhere except a place marked for restrooms which is quite far so travel on a empty bladder , hope you guys have a beautiful sighting of the majestic beast

Ranthambore is 180 Km from Jaipur Airport, just two hours road journey from Pink City (Jaipur), the capital of Rajasthan. Ranthambore National Park is one of the perfect destinations in India to witness the majestic predators (TIGERS) in the jungle living naturally. It is the only tiger reserve in the region where the tigers can be easily witnessed at any point of time.

You must visit if you are a nature lover, Plan for two days if possible one day for Jungle Safari and Ranthambore Fort, trinetra Ganesh ji temple and another day for Boat Safari at chambal, kids will love boat safari. Try to book in zone 1 to 5 for Jungle Safari in the morning shift during Feb to April and after a safari visit to Fort. Next day for Boat Safari and return to home or if you have any other plans to visit nearby.

I was so excited and booked the zone 3 tickets 3 months in advance as it's the best zone to sight tigers. Chose an afternoon slot in a canter. Unfortunately we couldn't spot a tiger and the other animals we spot were crocodile, tortoise, deers, sambar, vulture, etc. It's wasn't such a pleasant experience and cost charged was 700 rs per person. It's better to book online on official site than go through any agent.

I’ve been doing safari and photography here for the last 22 years. It’s just an incredible place. Full of history and stunning vistas with the most amazing bird life and wildlife. Tigers are the main attraction here but don’t forget about the Sloth Bear, Leopards, Caracals, Deer, Antelopes and many many other wonderful animals that we share this world with. Superb place to visit. The only downside is that because of its popularity there are always way to many jeeps or canters that roam around the park. Otherwise it’s a must visit. You can’t miss it!

One of the best Tiger Reserves in India is located here, it’s a 1700square km forested area. I was told only 20% of the area is open for public to do safaris. All in there are 10 different gates for safari. One can choose which gates the one to go. Chances of seeing the Majestic Bengal Tiger is quite high here, again depending on your luck and other factors. There are two types of vehicles going into the park for Safari the canter and 4WD jeeps. Breathtaking scenery awaits you with many wildlife to be seen very close to the tracks. This place will give you a great unforgettable safari experience. Most guides are well experienced and will give you great insight about the park and the tigers u see. About 80 Bengal Tigers roam this forest.

A must visit place if you like wildlife and want to experience nature. I visited there twice and the last visit was with group of friends and it was an awesome experience.. Recommended.. 5 Star ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐ One of the biggest national parks in North India, Ranthambore National Park is particularly popular with travelers hoping to spot an elusive tiger in the wild. Although tigers are the main draw here, the reserve is home to other critters—including sambar deer, wild boars, sloth bears, striped hyenas, and hundreds of bird species—and a 10th-century fort. The Basics This 150-square-mile (392-square-kilometer) park is best known for its wild tiger population— around three dozen of the big cats live here—and nearly everyone who visits takes part in a 3.5-hour tiger-spotting safari, managed by the government. Both jeep and cantar (open-air 20-seat minibus) safaris are available. If you want to up your chances of seeing a wild tiger, go on a couple of safaris; some multi-day park tours offer the opportunity to partake in both a morning and an afternoon tiger-spotting adventure. Ranthambore is a popular stop on many Rajasthan itineraries, amongst independent travelers and private and small-group tours alike. Independent travelers can prebook safaris through the Rajasthan Forest Department, though it's much easier to go through a travel agent. Ranthambore National Park is just outside of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. If driving, it’s about eight hours from Delhi (245 miles/395 kilometers), five hours from Agra (158 miles/255 kilometers), or four hours from Jaipur (96 miles/155 kilometers). All three major cities are connected to Sawai Madhopur, by train; most trains from Agra or Delhi take about 4.5 hours, while those from Jaipur do the trip in as few as two hours. Incredible India 🙏🏻❤️😎💕 Jai Hind Jai Bharat 😍❣️💯

Ranthambore is known for its large tiger population. During the past few years, there has been a decline in the tiger population in Ranthambhore due to poaching and other reasons. Ranthambore National Park is a national park in Rajasthan, northern India, with an area of 1,334 km2 (515 sq mi). It is bounded to the north by the Banas River and to the south by the Chambal River. It is named after the historic Ranthambore Fort, which lies within the park. Ranthambore National Park was established as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955, initially covering an area of 282 km2 (109 sq mi). It was declared one of the Project Tiger reserves in 1973 and became a national park on 1 November 1980. In 1984, the adjacent forests were declared the Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary and Keladevi Sanctuary. In 1992, the Tiger Reserve was expanded to include the adjoining Keladevi Sanctuary in the north and Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary to the south along with other forests.

The space between us: At Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, India's most popular wildlife park, tourists are aplenty. But what they often lack is etiquette. Incidents of safari jeeps blocking the way of animals and loud visitors destroying the peace of the jungle are all too common. Tigers, especially, are bold and many in Ranthambore have adapted to the commotion caused by man. But there have been cases when the animal has got agitated, unnerved. Not only are we then turning into noisy encroachers but we are also depriving other tourists of the joy of the jungle. If my many visits to the forest has taught me anything, nobody wants to take their eyes off the tiger and everyone wants the best seat in house. You can do all of that only if there's some sort of discipline. What's most important about wildlife tourism is that we must remember this is the home of animals. They have the right to movement first. Like we see in this picture, we can all enjoy a good sighting, if we respect their space. It's the kind of social distancing that needs to stay.

Large portions of India are still very rural and wild; the Ranthambore National Park is one of the country’s most pristine sanctuaries and a place where majestic tigers still roam free. You’ll tour this gem in an open-air Jeep, and with a little luck, get up close and personal with the massive cats. In addition to the national park, this tour includes excursions to the Taj Mahal and the city of Jaipur. A large portion of the tour will be spent in the Golden Triangle, the area in which most visitors to the country spend the majority of their time exploring.

Such a wonderful place to be in..gives you pride in our history , culture and nature lovers would definitely love this place because of its rich flora and fauna ..there is also a ancient temple of ganeshji .and the ranthambore tiger reserve is also nearby ..though the scenery looks spectacular when one visit in monsoon ..but if you are a animal lover and love to go on safari I suggest u to visit in month of March or April when the chances of siting a tiger are very high . I would definitely recommend you guys to visit

Safari was done in mid of April month. Lucky to find tigress but in national park there is too much greedy person. They say ye guide bahut achcha hai driver bahut achcha hai aapko tiger dikhayega. Aap Isko khush kar dena. They want money when you finish your jungle safari they want money before leaving canter or gypsy. They don't want 100rs they want 500rs.. My guide person was not good..even driver also.. Very rough driving.. After jungle safari. If you want to book online safari gypsy was very difficult to book because they allow only two gypsy for one zone.. That's why.. For opening date..

We did four Safaris but were lucky to see the big cat in Zone 2 only. But it was as thrilling as it can get. Also saw leopard in same zone. Prefer zone 1 to 5 for better chances. Avoid zone 7, 8 and 9 as Tiger spotting here is much less. Our guide told is that chances of spotting the Tiger in summer, May & June, are much brighter as the animals come to water holes. Avoid booking through unscrupulous agents.

Our first day visiting Ranthambore and we saw 5 tigers and 1 leopard! Amazing place and we felt so lucky to have such a successful day! Booked through the government website (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/signin) Morning canter safari in Zone 4 - 1 female tiger and a later a brief leopard run across the road. Evening canter safari in Zone 2 - not much action but then in the final 15 minutes we saw Arrowhead (female) and 2 of her cubs + 10 minutes later (5 minutes before safari ended) we saw the big male Ganesh! Unbelievable place and we still have 8 safaris (4 days) left!!

In 2005, there were 26 tigers living in the park. This was significantly lower than the recorded tiger population of the reserve in 1982, which stood at 44. According to non-government sources there were 34 adult tigers in the Ranthambore National Park in 2008, and more than 14 cubs. This increase was attributed largely to sustained efforts by forest officials to curb poaching. Villagers in the region were being given incentives to stay out of the park, and surveillance cameras were also fitted across the reserve. The Indian government committed US$153 million for these efforts. They were successful enough to make Ranthambhore eligible to participate in the Sariska Tiger Reserve relocation program. The first aerial relocation, of the male tiger (Dara) from Ranthambhore to Sariska, was done on 28 June 2008 by Wing Commander Vimal Raj, using a Mi-17 helicopter. This translocated tiger died on 15 November 2010 due to poisoning. A tigress known as "The Lady of the Lakes" was separated from her parents at a very young age because of poaching. The young tigress was named Machli after the mark on her body that resembles a fish. She gave birth to three female cubs, one being dubbed 'Machli - The Junior'. The father of Machli Jr. died early from an unknown disease, as confirmed by forest officer Fateh Singh Rathore. Machli Jr. mated with the male tiger Bumburam and gave birth to two cubs, Slant Ear and Broken Tail. Baccha is believed to be her grandson. Machli recently went missing, raising concern among forest officials, as hunting is difficult at her age. After twenty-six days Machli was spotted and located by forest officials. At 20 years old, Machli Sr. was the world's oldest living tigress and she died in August 2016. She was the most famous tigress in the world holding the title of the most photographed tigress in the world. She was single handedly instrumental in increasing the flow of tourists from all over the world to Ranthambore National Park. Machli's daughter T19 (Krishna or Unis) is the current queen tigress of Ranthambore. In 2014, she gave birth to four cubs fathered by Star or Zalim (she was seen mating with both of them), with three surviving, these cubs are now known as T-84, T-83 and T-85. She became the longest living tigress in wild environment recorded till date. Another popular tigress from Ranthambore is tigress T39, also known as Mala or Noor. Her name comes from the decorative bead-like stripes on her body. She was born to tigress T-13 and fathered by T-12. In November 2016, she was seen with her fourth litter of two cubs. Noor is 9 years old and her son, T72, or Sultan, is from her first litter and is approximately six years old. Broken Tail was given international publicity in a film made about his life. He left the park area and traveled from Ranthambore to Darra, where he was killed by a train while crossing the railway tracks. The documentary film called Broken Tail features his last journey and has been shown worldwide on many TV channels. T - 25 also known as Dollar male or Zalim is another famous tiger in Ranthambore, he sent observers and tiger researchers in a tizzy when he fathered his 2 female cubs as their mother died of a disease, this two cubs are now known as Bina 1 and Bina 2 and both were relocated to Sariska National Park in November 2012 when they were 2 years old. According to the 2014 census of tigers, there were 62 tigers in Ranthambore National Park. The number of tigers was 48 in 2013 and 25 in 2005.

Not everytime you'll be fortunate enough to see the tiger, you gotta plan your trip well in advance with 2-3 safaris minimum to spot one. The park and the area could have been made way more attractive if governments use funds properly. But overall, it's an awesome place for a family (nuclear) trip if your budget is approx Rs. 15,000

Few words for Ranthambhore National Park :- Witness The Indian Royal Cats (TIGER) alive in their Natural habitat, The Verdant Landscapes, The Unforgettable Wildlife Safari Ride, The Grassy meadows, The Exotic Flora/Fauna & , The Untamed natural wilderness, Spectacular Sightings of Migratory Birds Importantly Beautiful place for Photography. Ranthambore National Park is a vast wildlife reserve near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. It is a former royal hunting ground and home to tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles. Its landmarks include the imposing 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, on a hilltop, and the Ganesh Mandir temple. Also in the park, Padam Talao Lake is known for its abundance of water lilies. Our recent visit to Ranthambore National Park will be a lifetime memory.  It was a wonderful experience and sightings of the wildlife. We took safaris in zones 1,3,4,5 and 6. One of the very few and best places in India where the big cats can be seen at close quarters in its natural habitat. Popular safaris are conducted on every morning and evening in canters and gypsys (both open top) and as on Dec 2021, one ticket for canter safari costs ₹1100 (1.1K) and its really worth spending. Morning safari in winter will be harsh and be dressed up to brave the chill breeze at single digit temperatures in the open vehicles.

🎈ne of the 🎀 most 🎉 Beautiful 🎊 place in terms of 🏞️ Landscape beauty for 🏕️ Jungle Safari with the maximum probability of sighting the 🐯 Tiger is the land of Tigers itself, Ranthambore National Park 🦁 Situated on the ⛰️ mountain range this place serve as a best place for amazing natural view 🌄 when it comes to visiting Jungle Safari with some exemplary looks. It is divided into multiple zones and in my recent trip I had a chance to cover zone 8, 9 and 2 Zone 9 is the 🤮 least interesting 🧟‍♀️ zone with almost 🦹 dead jungle and situated around 40 kms away from other common zones/town Zone 8 has some 😇 decent view when it comes to exploring the jungle, as most of the forest is situated on the mountain as a reason the 4x4 rushing through the steepy slope gives you a adrenaline rush. Also if you are lucky enough your driver can take you inside some deep jungle which is a gift of peace in itself At last zone 2, 😍 I can't talk anything about this zone which in itself is a perfect craft of 👼 almighty power. I mean the zone 2 is so beautiful 🏞️🗻🏝️🏜️🌄 that even if you don't get to see the Tiger (which in our case was not true), then also you would be witnessing some of the remarkable 🥳 views of the nature I have ever seen. As you enter there would be a huge mountain range running around the adjacent side of the route which is a treat to watch, presence of natural/artificial water holes where the different wild life quench their thirst is a truly adorable. I got to know that zones from 1 to 5 are also very beautiful and will definitely plan to visit them very soon. 🤗 🙋‍♂️

A great place to witness the jungle, animals and much more. We were very lucky to spot tiger in morning safari. This park has total 10 zones. Zone 1 to 6 gates are nearby and other zone gates are located at different positions. You can either opt for canter which can accomodate more than 10 people or gypsy for 6 people. Try to go for gypsy because it can go on narrows roads and you can have closer view of animals. The good thing about this safari is that they directly pick you from the hotel/resort wherever you are staying. Do plan to do at least 2 safaris and that too in different zones. From my experience, maximum sightings happen in zone - 2, 3, 4 and 10. We had booked offline through friend and been allotted zone 1 for afternoon safari and we went in nov first week. We didn't spot tiger but we spotted bulky cute slot bear, lots of antelopes, jackal, nilgai, deers, peacocks, kingfishers, crescent eagle, boars, black stork, few rare birds etc. Break will be there for 10 mins in between the safaris for washroom. Most exciting part was rufous treepie coming inside the gypsy and looking at us. 2nd day we had morning safari in zone 10. The guide was knowledgeable but driver was rude and double standard, still we managed. Was saying nothing to foreigners but saying anything rubbish to Indians. Luckily to our excitement and keeping good hopes, we spotted tiger in last 40 mins and the view was fabulous. His name was Jai which is the most biggest tiger here and was walking on the stones lazily. He walked for 5 mins and sat down in the shade and started sleeping. Meanwhile, our driver called other canters and gypsy. It was really a magnificent view and we literally saw Jai for over 35 mins. He was sleeping and acting like a small baby while sleeping and gave good poses for photos. Overall we were more than happy to see him and relish those moments. But one thing was scary, mixing of village people in zone 10. We could see some villagers doing construction work where we spotted tiger hardly 2 kms away. Hope there are strict measures to keep them away from wild animals.

Go to the jungle and have fun there with your family and friends. On the Ranthambore Safari, I had the most amazing experience! The best time to go for tiger sightings is before the monsoon because most areas are closed after. Be careful to plan ahead and pack dull-colored clothing for your safari. gipsy has more experience than canter. Enjoy the jungle even if you don't spot any tigers! We encountered two tigers in last week of August. Had fun... Ranthambore National Park is very spectacular in terms of its natural beauty and animals. Our safari guide's passion and knowledge helped us better grasp the park's unique environment. We had the good fortune to see several different animals, including tigers. I'll never forget the excitement of viewing these animals in their natural environment. The park's conservation efforts are admirable, and I hope that the wonders of Ranthambore will be enjoyed by future generations as well. Overall, it was a memorable journey that I wholeheartedly endorse to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and wildlife.

What a place for safari. In Dense Forest Valley you with get experience of chill air and numerous wild animals around your Jeep and Safari Truck. They divided national park in 10 zones for tigers view point. Zones are internally connected. You have to book ticket on online website OR local Ticket Bookies. Zone 1, 3 & 6 are much popular for Tiger sightseeing. You can found tigers around this zones. While booking tickets select these 3 zones. Lucky if you got any one of them. If not, then just be calm and try to see Tigers in other zone if they walk through your allocated zones. Wear green t-shirt, cap mostly for green color cover so tigers can come closer. Evening batch is great starts from 3 to 5.

Ranthambore national Park is a brilliant and place for photography and natural atmosphere. A variety of flora and fauna can be seen while visiting the national park. Riverside look, something like valley, hills and many other places you can see while visiting the national park. it is something like "heaven for wildlife and natural photographers". Manly if came here rainy season you will find everything green here. According to my experience aisa Grover dies in the sun. There is a famous temple of "god of wisdom - Ganesha" and many runs of 4 which have their own great history. In one word is heaven.

This is a real treat being able to enter a wildlife sanctuary. The guides are very experienced and if you don’t happen to see the tigers there is still plenty to see and enjoy. Stay at the Nahargarh Resort which is not far from the park entrance. This is an amazing place and the size of a palace. Awesome place for a tiger safari situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Safari can be done by both a canter or a gypsy depending upon personal preferences. Summers are the best season to visit this place for a safari as most of the tigers and other animals would be around in search of water. If not safari then you could visit this place for its magnificent fort. You may want to hire a guide to help you tell about the history of the forts. You can even have discussions with the locals here, they are really nice people. You will find a lot of monkeys in the way always waiting to be affectionately fed by you. Even there is a temple which you can pay your homage too at the end of your tour of the fort.

Up to the lobby of our hotel by 0615 for our safari. Guide and driver arrived with another couple so we had a full load in our jeep, total of eight. Took 1.5 hrs. to get to the entrance gate to area 9, where we were assigned for this morning. The roads were rough, rutted and the driver was extremely daring or foolhardy. Blew through villages with our horn blowing, warning people and animals to get out of our way, or else. Basic bathroom facility at the entrance gate. Either hole in floor or dirty toilet. Rode around in the game preserve for 1.5 hrs. Saw lots of spotted deer and peacocks. Saw four bull antelope, including the buck. Saw a few partridge or quail. At one lake we saw a white-throated kingfisher with brilliant turquoise wings. Saw a ground hog size animal with a long bushy tail. Left at 0930 for our bumpy, dusty, thrilling ride back to The Tigress, including a blow-out of one of our bald jeep tires. Back to our hotel for lunch and to relax. Back out with the same guide, different driver at 1430. Only drove a half hour to Gate 7 and end entered at 1500. Went up and over the mountain and came down on the “highway” side. Pretty rough ride when we got to the east side. Saw lots of Sambar deer, which are as large as small elk. Lots of them in a dry lake and around the area. Guide said these are the favorite of the tigers as they do not see well. Went back up and over the mountain. Saw a large herd of spotted or Chital deer, including several bucks, on this side. Sat by some water holes and waited. Left the area around 1730 and back at our hotel a little after 1800. I felt we left to late in the morning knowing we had a long drive to make. We should have been at the gate no later than 0700. In the afternoon we should have stayed in the preserve until just before dark. We really did not hit the preserve at the proper time to have the best opportunity to see the tigers

We did 3 game drives and were very lucky and saw tigers each time, as well as lots of other animals (sloth bear, antelope, crocodile, deer amongst many others) and also beautiful landscapes and sunset/sunrises. On one drive in particular we were lucky enough to see 2 tigers playing, walking along and crossing in front of our jeep, wonderful. we appreciate we were very lucky as the tigers do not always want to be seen!

Ranthambore National Park is located about 13.5 kilometers from the city of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. Located at the junction of the Aravali and Vindhya hill ranges, this is one of the finest places to view wild animals, especially as they are used to being stared at here. The park covers an area of approximately 400 sq km, and if combined with the area of Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary area, is around 500 sq km.  Ranthambore National Park is dotted with structures that remind you of bygone eras. There are numerous water bodies scattered all across the park, which provide perfect relief to the wild animals during the scorching hot days in summers. A huge fort, after which the park is named, towers over the park atop a hill. There are many ruins of bygone eras scattered all over the jungle, which give it a unique, wonderful and mixed flavour of nature, history and wildlife. Tigers at Ranthambore National park have been known to even hunt in full view of human visitors. History of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve Ranthambore National Park was established initially as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955 by the Government of India. In 1973, it was declared as one of the Project Tiger reserves in India. It was on 1st November, 1980 that Ranthambore was declared a national park, while the forests located beside it were named Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary & Keladevi Sanctuary.

Truly feel a jungle life there. It is a former royal hunting ground and home to tigers, leopards, dears and marsh crocodiles. Its landmarks include the imposing 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, on a hilltop, and the Ganesh Mandir temple. Also in the park, "Padam Talab" Lake is known for its abundance of water lilies. The silence of the forest is satisfaction in itself. spotting the tigers is a total luck-based thing.

The Trinetra Ganesh Temple The Trinetra Ganesh Temple is situated inside the Ranthambore Fort, and is famous as one of the oldest temples in Rajasthan. It is the only temple in the entire world which houses the entire family of Lord Ganesha while his statue consists of three eyes. This famous temple traces its history back to 1299, when a war was being fought between King Hameer & Ala-ud-din Khilji inside Ranthambore Fort. King Hameer was an ardent devotee of Lord Ganesha, and never forgot to offer his prayers to Lord Ganesha even during the battle. One day, Lord Ganesha appeared in King Hameer’s dreams, and told him that he would be free of all troubles that faced him by the morning. In the morning, surprisingly, a symbol of Lord Ganesh appeared on one of the walls of the fort. What was even more surprising was that the war ended all of a sudden on its own

Getting away from the hustle bustle of city life is always a welcome change , the cherry on the cake becomes when you spot the majestic tiger right in front of your eyes . Located 350+ kms from delhi , with excellent highway , it’s a journey worth taking . The chances of spotting a tiger are high here as compared to Jim Corbett and especially if you choose gate no 3 jogi mahal route. The weather was pleasant although quite cold in morning , u can take the safari in a cantor which can be booked easily . U can see the fort n Padam talab not to miss the crocodiles basking in sunlight

The Ranthambore national park brought us close to nature. It is one of tiger reserve where tigers can be seen easily and also human and wildlife comes close to each other here.Ranthambore National Park is located about 13.5 kilometers from the city of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. Ranthambore is known for its large tiger population. During the past few years, there has been a decline in the tiger population in Ranthambhore due to poaching and other reasonsAs park tourism and the population of neighbouring villages increased, there were more frequent fatal human-tiger interactions and poaching. The Indian government started Project Tiger in 1973 and allotted an area of 60 mi2 of the park as a tiger sanctuary. This area later expanded to become what is now the Ranthambore National Park. Machli recently went missing, raising concern among forest officials, as hunting is difficult at her age.[5] After twenty-six days Machli was spotted and located by forest officials. At 20 years old, Machli Sr. was the world's oldest living tigress and she died in August 2016.

Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the world’s best known wilderness areas. Located 14 kilometres from Sawai Madhopur and at the junction of some of the geologically oldest mountain ranges - the Aravallis and Vindyas - Ranthambore offers some of the finest opportunities for sighting the magnificent tiger in the wild. A mix of rolling hills and crags, and meadows, lakes and rivulets, this dry-deciduous forest system is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna. Apart from the tiger, you can also spot sloth bear, leopard, caracal, jackal, fox, hyena and mongoose at Ranthambore.

Ranthambore National Park is a vast wildlife reserve near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, northern India. Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary is known for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to see these animals in their natural jungle habitat. Tigers can be easily spotted even in the daytime. Ranthambore is best known for its large tiger population. There are two types of vehicles permitted on safari in Ranthambhore National Park. the Gypsy and the Canter. The Gypsy (Open Jeep) is the vehicle of choice for most visitors to Ranthambhore. It is shared amongst 6 passengers, though we can reserve a private Jeep too, other is the canter (Open bus) which is shared amongst 20 passengers. It is a great option for group of large people, so they can have safari together. Wildlife animals can be spotted easily by canter becasue of it's height.

Though it is one of the best National Park for Sighting the Tigers.... But lots of crowd and more n more commercialization making this park to loose the charm. People do come from all over the world to watch Tigers specially. Best time to visit the park is from October to March to enjoy the beauty of Forest and lakes of park. Though to sight Carnivorous till June you can enjoy the park.

Awesome place to see tiger's, this place is reserved for tigers.

One of the Best Tiger and wildlife parks of india. We had marvelous 3 Tiger spottings. Canter ride was good. Probability of Tiger spotting is very good. The fort and Ganesh temple inside it is very good. You can well give full day for fort. On the way, Shiv temple Amareshwar Mahadev is old and in height of forest. A climb forest trek is needed. Many Langoors are there. Guavas are very good here. About 30 Km. Chambal river safari with Alligator and Gharials is worth visiting.

  • 2/5 Ajay P. 2 years ago on Google
It’s very hard to find a Tiger. We did not spotted any Tiger. There are Ten Zones to enter , choose very carefully. Only 20% forest is open for visitors as per the local guide. I would recommend to hire private Jeep and do the booking at least a month Before on Rajasthan tourism website. The Jungle safari is super fun with kids and family Members. You should Come here once to explore the wildlife.

  • 5/5 Sharad S. 2 years ago on Google
ZONES: No matter what, make sure bookings are done in Zone 1-5 only..you might see a tiger in zones 6,7,8 but you don't want to travel all the way to Ranthambore and go for a safari in the Buffer zones..the probability is higher in 1-5..you will be convinced otherwise, but stick to these zones.. Zone 3 is sort of the heart of the Jungle since it has 2 lakes..so atleast one safari, ( preferably in the evening during summers) should be booked in this zone.. we saw 2 tigers in our evening safari in Zone 3! there are gypsy safaris in 6,7,8 that are easily available..even on the spot..but its just a money making scheme..people get tricked into buying these..whatever the case, if you can book a Canter or Jeep in Zone 1-5, you are good to go.. we had 3 safaris in 2 days..ALL in Canters!! This experience is from April'15

  • 4/5 Bhavin P. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent national park, with around 10 zones from which zone 1-5 are best to sight tiger. But sighting depends on your luck. The only advice for you is to take gypsy ride for safari & completely avoid canter rider if don't want to feel cheated. Also you are so eager to sight the tiger you need atleast 2-3 safari rides to increase your chances. Do visit the fort & ganesh temples also inside the park. If you really want to experience the jungle, book you hotel inside the jungle, there is just one heritage hotel i.e. joomar baori which is managed by rajasthan government (previously it eas a hunting lodge for royal family of jaypur) & falls under zone 1 & the door closes on 8:00 PM.

What a beauty of a place, loved the rugged yet beautiful plains covered with greenery. Even with the scarcity of the rains, the amount of thriving flora and fauna one can experience is just unexpected and fulfilling. There are deers (2 species) to be seen in every nook and corner of the national park. It’s is a beautiful sight to behold. The park was kind enough to provide us with the sight of Riddhi *the Great Granddaughter of Machli* almost after 2 hours of wait and it was magnificent. We were also lucky enough to see a leopard climbing the hills on a hunt. It was truly a fulfilling day. I would recommend people to go for zone 2/3 as the the three main water bodies are located within these two zones which gives you a high probability of sighting a tiger.

Visited two times last year during March and October. Not lucky enough to capture the King of the Jungle in my Mobile as it was very far from me but you can enjoy the Beauty of the Jungle and the Mighty Ranthambore Fort and the Trinetra Ganesh Temple within the Fort.

Amazing amazing amazing - these are the lines if you are lucky enught to see the tiger🤪. We were one of those who witnessed not one, not 2 , 3 tigers together. Its a good place if you are a wildlife enthusiast and have intrest in watching wildlife. Overall its worth for outing a watching animals roaming freely in jungle.

Fantastic jungle experience . We stayed in a tent house which was very close to the ranthambore tiger resort . Hotel manager booked the tour for us . safari can be booked online by paying required fees which are inclusive of canter or jeep fee/guide fee . Jeep has six seats while canter has twenty seats . Safari services are available in only two shifts, the afternoon and the morning shifts. Each turn is three and a half hours long. reserve stays closed mainly because during the monsoons, no visitors are allowed. best months for the visitors are November-April.

5 stars for me since I saw a tiger and leopard both but from what I have heard it very rare to spot either of them. But overall experience apart from this was also nice. Very tourist friendly place. Good 8 hour drive from Delhi if you are driving yourself. You’ll get nice hotel in very affordable price. Apart from this a must visit place is Ganesh Ji’s temple .

I grew watching Ranthambore documentaries..was so excited when I I finally had a chance to visit few gates ..sadly the park is divided to 10 gates making just few km for each gate, but spotting a tiger is all luck so just buckle up and enjoy the beautiful serene forest 😇

  • 5/5 Sohail F. 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
Tiger sighting is ultimate and that too in a single safari and hence 5 stars. We drove in a canter and saw different species of fauna and flora. And then almost at the end we found a cluster of vehicles parked and heard whispers of tiger resting in midst of grass. We all were looking with concentration but couldn't see though someone said he is lying near the broken branch. After few minutes he just moved his tail and we all got excited and then slowly he got up and there was a complete hush with only clicks of camera being heard. He moved slowly and disappeared. The canter made few twist and turns and parked near water body and again we waited with bated breadth. Then he came drank water and started moving up the hillock and there we saw the majestic gait. Remained there till he disappeared in tall grass on slope of hillock. We said goodbye and came back excitedly. A day spent enjoyable with family and friends of Ranthambore National Park.
