A quaint place that's bigger than it appears from the outside. It has a gathering of well known shops as well as independent shops. It's bright and welcoming. There's a central play area for kids and that in itself is an attraction. Disabled access is good via lifts and wide entrances. There are toilets, family room, and eateries all in this one place to make shopping an enjoyable experience.

Mega Mart is on Level 3 in Ilford Exchange. Plenty of parking available, payable through Your Parking Space App. A fantastic store with a wide range of houseware items: - cooking pots - cooking pans - tubs - electrical items - plates - rugs - bedding - islamic artwork The list goes on, so go and visit as you will enjoy the variety of products they stock. Great baby and toddler facilities. They are on ground floor mext to the car park. As a first time mum I cannot praise the management enough. Most big shopping centres lack proper facilities to spend a day out with a baby. This is one of the best I've seen. Better than bluewater and lakeside. 3 feeding rooms, 1 with a highchair. All have a rocking chair, side table and sockets to charge phones. Its quiet, no speakers playing music so no distractions for little one when feeding. Plenty of baby changing stations, each with its own hand wash basin. Small baby play area and larger toddler one. Only downside is no phone signal or internet. So cant entertain myself while baby sleeps (mine only sleeps in quiet spaces). Shop variety is decent with the high road and exchange combined. Parking is cheap, around 50p per hour. 30 or so parent parking spaces well sign posted on the ground floor.

It's ok here. I remember it back in the day and was quite trendy. A bit long in tooth now and probably ripe for re-development . Some of best names have disappeared. M&S still going strong. Entrance is low key with Wilcos and derelict Bodgers hopefully will rise again given opposite Ilford station...

A go to place for Ilford and town people. It uses to be good with Debenhams but after it's gone, less excitement doing the shop. Lesser food options. Good facilities like car park, toy shop, kids play area, toy train ride on 3rd floor, creative space at the loft.

The exchange is based on Ilford High Street. The area is ok. A similar ares is Barking. There is a good collection of shops. It's quite busy. There is a nice coffee shop which serves Jamaica Blue coffee. In my opinion unless you specifically need something from these shops or your local to the area there is not much point in visiting otherwise. Staff were very friendly at Jamaica Blue and this is one of the better coffee stops in the area.

good ambient; good food but little crowded specially the clothing shops. Careful about going up with the lift on the right side when you enter, you might end up to a gym from where you can’t go out other than going down with the same lift you came with.

Convenient for everyone's shopping experience. The exchange is a village as you can virtually get everything you need for shopping. The rolling steps, elevator, the lightings etc add to an awesome experience about The Exchange Mall

Lovely place.. But the new parking system is awful, ticket less entry and exit means you have to touch the touch screen that 100s of customers have touched already (covid 19 is still here) - requires your phone number for receipt (why). Nice place but horrible parking system.

Lots of quality shops have packed up and gone. Empty units in places. The lift has been removed so reducing disabled access and parents with large pushchairs. Probably OK if going to a specific shop, parking garage useful. Fees apply.

Vast and diverse. Shop eat and go. Good pedestrian access. Good transport network open spaces and airy. Not as oppressive as some malls. Lots of the popular shops and stores

Nice mall, beautiful interior, many brands have the presence there. Many choices for good food. Small play area gor kids. Garments, shoes and cosmetic products are available with many good choices. Highly recommended for families and couples.

A bit sparse when it comes to quality shops. There's a decent shops but there's a lot of random independent shops that seem to be ideas shop owners had rather than what's good for the community. Most people seem to only use the food shops and that's it.

Busy as usual. Great place for shopping majority of items in one place. Really appreciate the quick checkout at car park.

Neat and clean ambience and lots of shops for your needs name anything. The children's play area is there to spend time with them. And the rest room for men and women is neatly maintained. Feeding mother and children napkins changes can be done in the family room. I love to visit here every time I get here

This is my local shopping centre. I feel fortunate to have this nearby. There is a good variety of clothes shops, cafes and jewellery stores. But we are missing decent gadget shops and many of the big clothing brands are either reducing their store size or closing down. I feel like the bigger Westfield stores have taken the footfall away from the local shopping centres. Nevertheless, I still enjoy visiting the Exchange with my family to break away from the monotony of online shopping and experiencing human interaction.

The exchange is an in-door shopping center that has places to shop, eat and for children to play. There are escalators and lifts to move between floors, and has a parking garage. Some of the shops are M&S, Deichman, Wilkinson's and TX Max, along with loads of other shops.

Very cool shopping centre with a lot of shops for oriental clothes and a lovely mini train on the top floor for kids and adult rides (£3 pp). The shopping centre has a nice feel to it, is spacious and located in the centre of a London council called Ilford.

  • 4/5 Khursheed Q. 6 months ago on Google
Unlike the old days, this shopping centre used to be a booming and buzzing place to go to. Seems to be dying a slow death. Just like most other shopping centres in the UK. Looks like retail parks and retail world are the way forward? However, there are still a few good bargains to be had in the sales.

An old classic mall that has all the shops that you'd need. Lots of little halal foodstalls are placed across the mall for young and old to enjoy. Very clean and ample parking available at all times.

  • 5/5 Elias u. 4 months ago on Google
Very nice and cool place to do the shopping and sit down too. They must do little work on it for tourists and local customer attraction. Try to be a competitor and steal some customers from Westlifld as over crowdy there. Fix the outdoor area with beautiful flowers and money plants so on .

  • 3/5 Idris D. 1 year ago on Google
Rating low due to new car park system, don't get me wrong I'm all for change and moving on thenokdbsystem was very slow and annoying but considering the new machines have been in only a few weeks I'm surprised how bad and slow the touch screens are, trying to out an email in to get a receipt is an arduous process as the touch screen is just slow. Shocking in this day and age that it a not a bit more responsive, makes it feel like the centre has taken the cheap provider here!

What can I say, the concept is lovely, the place is varied and has lots of good shop's but the free exchange WiFi never works, worked like a yeah ago before Covid, I've reported this to management. Also there's a serious pest control issue with mice. Hope the management can do something about the very important location of Ilford.

Over the week days it's not busy at all! Can find anything you want as there is a choice of shops you can go to. Book shops, card shops, cloths' shops, perfume shops etc. Since the pandemic the stalls selling beautiful scarves and Asian costume jewellery have disappeared. I hope they'll come back soon. I like the way they describe on the walls how a very long time ago elephants and lions used to roam around in the area where the Exchange has been built now. Pastel colours have been used to draw these animals and plants on the walls. Public toilets are very clean. I've seen teen-agers trying their makeup in many occasions in the Ladies! Nice to see the way they can relax in the clean environment.

Most escalators were shut and people were cramming into the two creaky old elevators. It was chaos. This was on a Saturday afternoon during prime shopping time. The people who owns and run this place are a disgrace.

This centre is a busy part of the Ilford shopping experience. It has a wide range of popular shops to suit most people's pockets. The eating places are quite clean and staff are just willing to assist.I am always happy to shop and eat out there .

Well managed centre, very clean with quite a calm feel about it especially in the mornings. There are some empty units, but you can see work is taking place to fill them. Great free play area for kids and nice facilities for those with disabilities and for families with young children.

  • 3/5 N A. 2 years ago on Google
A wide range of shops inside the shopping centre and on the high street, not a very large place and quick to get around. A large multi storey car park decently priced, £1.50 all day Sundays. Has many of the high street names as well as a food court on the third floor.

  • 3/5 Alan M. 2 years ago on Google
Even though I live quite close I've not been to Ilford or the Exchange for years. An average shopping centre with normal services and a reasonable selection of stores. Is it worth a special visit? Not really, but if there's something run of the mill you need you'll probably find it here.

  • 3/5 Habiba C. 1 year ago on Google
Shops are not what they used to be, food court is gone..After covid it was a dead ace with barely anything open, it's good to see units taken back up but don't expect a lot of normal high street shops. More small independent ones. It's ok better that there are some shops than closed units but not what it was in its glory days

  • 5/5 Alia A. 2 years ago on Google
Clean, light, modern and some nice clean and trendy eating places like a coffee shop, Lotus Sushi, Indian street foods and pretzels and bakery. I was very pleased to see Ilford Exchange officers walking around to keep the place safe.

Love the Exchange mall. Normally go there for my bits and pieces. Starting from the body shop, M&S, perfume shop and finishing off with a nice bite at the subway 😋. It Used to have Debenhams but now closed

I enjoy looking at the Jewellery section. They always have remarkable and unusual gems setting gold silver and alloys. I was recently shown a rather beautiful green onyx necklace. The retail assistant really knows her gems and seems to know what she's talking about regarding care of items. I also like the shoe section but wish the bras were bigger.

  • 5/5 Taskeen G. 2 years ago on Google
Good fashionable but low budget shop are here. I payed 4.50 parking for 3 hours at the back of the shopping mall. Sadly with my own mistake my beautiful Boots shopping was stolen in a split second when by mistake I left it on bench outside of M&S. So watch out for your personal passions please.

Went at the weekend to go to the wilko and was pleasantly surprised at how the exchanged has changed recently. It is a lot more lively which is great to see and there was a lovely looking Jamaican restaurant where the jewelers used to be. The kids play area was thriving and it felt nice to be back here. The only thing I noticed was the parking has changed and while it's better because you can just scan the code, it seems to be more expensive on a Sunday.

I found this place very confusing, was struggling to find the parent room while my baby was crying. The signs were not very clear. Also going around the shops is not very accessible. It wasn't a nice experience. The only good and nice thing I found was the playground for kids.

  • 4/5 Jas D. 1 year ago on Google
Very good value meal, with as much as you can eat for a set price. Only downside was it was not very hot by 1.00 when we arrived for lunch. Maybe earlier would be better, but then it would be very busy.

Had the opportunity to visit after a meeting nearby, a few different high Street shops dotted along, the exchange is larger than what it appears from the outside. If you want some lunch or to do some shopping nice place to visit. Its also clean !!
