Dave’s Hot Chicken is decent. The employee who waited on us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I thought was a little overpriced for the amount of food I received, but once I got my plate I see why. Those chicken tenders aren’t really tenders. They’re more like breasts. The tenders were hot and fresh I got medium sauce which wasn’t hot at all, the coleslaw didn’t really have a taste to it and the fries and mac n cheese were Luke warm. If I’m in town I’d go there again. Overall it was good. Bathrooms and dining area were clean.

We stopped by to do some shopping, and we were surprised to see that there were so many stores open and very few vacancies. All the large anchor stores were there, including Belk, Dillards, JC Penny and many more. The mall was clean and well lit. The temperature was very comfortable, and it would be a good place for walking. It wasn’t very crowded when we were there in the middle of the week, but it probably picks up later. If you want a variety for your mall shopping, you can find it here!

Saw more animals than people. I understand "service dogs" , but k9s all in the food court is unnecessary and unsanitary. Other than that, my experience with the mall was awesome. I would encourage some kind of restrictions to be implemented when it comes to allowing animals in the food court.

A lot of stores have closed, the arcade is gone, the food court is smaller. However, even though it was Sunday evening and many shops were closed, we did have fun time. The mall is clean and so are the bathrooms. The security is very visible, which these days is a really good thing. The kids all took a ride on the train and had a pretty good time.

Independence Mall has always been one of the "Go To" places in Wilmington for Holiday shopping. With so many stores going out of business due to online shopping, it's nice to still have a mall to go to. It's part of many people's Christmas tradition to take the weekend & walk around shopping at the mall and eating in the food court. They have added many stores and eateries to Independence Mall, and upgraded some of the restrooms.

Older, clean and well kept mall. About 20% of the storefronts are empty, but a festive atmosphere anyway. The food court seemed to have something for everyone and food looked good. I'm sure the COVID pandemic has had a negative effect on this facility, but nice to see people out and about.

I wish they had cooler places like a bowling alley , rock climbing shop /rock climbing , skates with skate ring , skateboard shop with mine skate ramps, glow in the dark dance place with like 3 areas. I'd pay for that.like. think outside the box.shops are cool but bring entertainment

A lot of people like walking the mall… that’s not me, at all. So when I go in to find one store, and get lost trying to leave… yup, I don’t like going to the mall anymore 😂 HOWEVER, my wife loves to window shop and buy a random gift from time to time. And I’ll be honest, Auntie Anne’s has DELICIOUS Pretzels! The church isn’t there anymore, and the food court keeps changing restaurants, but I can always rely on Auntie Anne’s to warm my stomach… and remind me where I exit 🤣

Wife and I stopped to do some shopping before heading back home from the beach. The mall was exceptionally clean and well taken care of, you can see even from the outside that the community enjoys having nice buildings and businesses. We felt safe walking around and everyone was polite, maybe other Malls should follow your policies and procedures.

First time at this mall. Looks to have all the basic needs for shopping ,small food court and plenty of spots for sitting around different areas. Very well kept, clean mall/stores.

Nice selection and the Dillard's was huge with a surprisingly good selection. The JC Penneys and Belks we're excellent as well although all three seemed short of staff which is understandable.

Nice mall that is convenient for families with children. There are many unique stores to include a tattoo shop and a neon glow putt-putt golf center. With a variety of food choices in the food court, you can enjoy good eats after a nice day of shopping.

I like the 5 and below store. Also Ulta is here. They do have quite a bit of things for kids to do there? My grandson likes to ride the train. And play at the indoor park

It was alright, I was disappointed with the the Ray Bans I bought from Lens Crafters, but hopefully this will get taken care of. The Dr's who did my eye exam (office nxt door ) was very 👍 Good!

Love the way the mall is now cared for. Really enjoyed the train displays (only open Wed and Sat). These enthusiastic members really create imaginative displays.

Great mall. Directions to stores are lacking. Great service in all the stores, I visited.

It is a pretty decent mall, however, security does nothing about people bringing pets inside, in the food area, and even on the food court tables. Legally, a mall cannot be pet friendly because of open food, so if an actual service animal were to get attacked, the mall can be sued and even shut down. The general cleanliness isn't very good, either.

This place would be better if they stayed open till 10pm!! Why close at 8pm that’s when older people go to bed that’s too early to close when people have money to spend till 10pm which is normal time, shoot even 9pm would be better than 8!!

Always love a good mall trip! With the new additions of grocery store and eateries, you are bound to have a great experience when visiting. Great place for getting in steps and window shopping.

Nice shops. Some of everything from food to clothes. Love the kiosks in the aisle. Always something new. Decent choices for food court. Great parking. Nice anchor stores. Belk is always good place to find whatever I am looking for.

I always have a nice time at independence mall. This time about 8 teens caused a lot of problems knocking over displays and causing trouble. I will still go to the mall.

The whole experience was just off. A lot of stores in the mall have closed and despite it being December there really isn't much in the way of decoration. The stores and restaurants remaining are either entirely devoid of customers or there is a line out the door. I know that might not seem too awkward, especially since it is December, but there was something that was certainly depressing and anxiety inducing. I hope that we all can recover from this nightmare soon. I have not been around people like that in a very long time, so that saved the experience from a single star.

I Took my daughter to see Santa and to take some pictures and we had a decent time actually. I thought it was going to be an absolute nightmare but with most of the foot traffic being outside now (I guess that's what it was) it was congested and crowded like it usually is on Christmas.

Post pandemic review: Surprisingly a lot of stores are open and doing well. I just went there during the holiday season and it seems like it is a thriving mall all over again. All the talk about online sales maybe true, but it's also true that instant gratification is something that we love. People love going into a store and in 5 minutes walking away with what they wanted, no waiting for delivery or paying delivery charges. I guess all old things become new again if you wait long enough. From my personal experience, the mall is also a great place to get into the holiday season spirit if you're not already there. Everything will be decorated and everybody will be merry. You may even see Santa Claus! This is a good place to start the holiday season, and you might even start shopping and getting things done before the last minute! LOL I try, honestly! 🎄🎁

I found some really good deals at JCPenny's and had a 30% off coupon because I hadn't used my Penny's credit card in so long

Nice little mall. Needs a more the stores need to be more diverse and offer something that makes you want to go to the mall instead of like you have to to pick up something.

Being that I am from wilmimgton and had not visited in about 2yrs. The mall has changed alot, alot of new places out there and definitely an increase in the racial profiling. It is very clear why I don't visit here often.

Not as great as it once was. Lots of stores are gone, which could be blamed on the Covid aftermath. Biggest issue is we went on a Friday evening and the mall was closing at 8pm. I believe they need to address the time difference on their Google maps information if this will be the norm.

Love the mall. Wish some of the old stores were still there and some of the ones that are need to go. Feel like they went backwards for the cultural change

👍👍 Come here often for a great selection and discount prices. From housewares to clothing to even cookware and various foods, there are always brand named items for significantly less. Highly recommend as unlike other stores very clean.

😐 Target has a Starbucks inside which should give it an extra star, however the parking is ALWAYS a nightmare. The parking lots are crowded and it feels like there is very little space for two cars let alone trying to back out in oncoming traffic. Watch for pedestrians because they will not be looking...
