Our search for Onam Sadhya Thali took us to Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple (उत्तर गुरुवायूरप्पन मंदिर) located at Mayur Vihar Delhi. The temple complex was built on Kerala style of Architecture & is dedicated to Shri Krishna, who is worshiped as Guruvayurappan, This temple is a replica of famous Guruvayur Devaswam of Guruvayur Kerala. This is possibly the cleanest & best managed temple I have visited in Delhi. Temple was built in 1983 but I doubt Delhites know such a amazing place of worship is so close to them. They have a canteen, which serves authentic South Indian Food on Weekends. 🙏

One of the best temples I've ever visited. Check it out at around 4 or 5 pm as you'll experience a magnificent view of 1K Diyas lit around the temple walls. If you're lucky then on Sundays you can also get to experience traditional South Indian Style Bhandara (Prasaad Serving) on Paper/Banana Leaf! If you can't get Bhandara (Prasaad Serving) then don't worry, check out the Canteen inside Temple premises! You can have superb quality South Indian Cuisines therein. Most recommended for people who visit for the first time.

Attended 4 marriages recently. Very neat and clean Temple and auditoriums. You can plan according to your budget. Cheaper than other auditoriums. Catering services are also very good. Really recommendable place for marriages and other functions.

A hindu temple in Delhi, with Kerala style, which almost looks like the famous Guruvayur temple. The principal deity of this Temple is Sree Guruvayurappan (Lord Vishnu), who bestows his immeasurable blessings on the devotees who visit the Temple in large numbers to offer their prayers. Chottanikkara Bhagawathy (Devi), Lord Siva, Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa and Naga Devata are the other deities whose presence enhance the divine aura of this temple. The Thantric rights of this temple are vested with the Puliyannur Illam, in Trippunithara, Ernakulam. The Temple is managed by Arsha Dharma Parishad (Regd), an organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. True to the age-old traditions of Hindu Temples, this Temple has not only promoted religious activities but also worked as a centre to cater to the socio-cultural needs of the society.

  • 5/5 Shaji N. 2 years ago on Google
Totally calm and comfortable religious place to visit and worship. You may feel real presence of GOD and you will not disappointed while leaving the temple as you may feel some kind of attachment to that temple. You need to observe total silence and shouldn't sit inside the temple. May observe silence and sit outside the temple and worship. Parking is quite okay.is better to go in small car to have a convenient parking. Behind the temple there is a Canteen wherein you may fill your stomach with South Indian food...

God mercy, Mayur Vihar is Blessed with such an enchanting Krishna Temple. It's been always a wonderful experience to visit this temple. All aspects - Cleanliness, ambience, Spirituality. The Rituals, the Prasadams the various functions are sustained remarkably well. The desired atmosphere of apt austerity, serenity, festivity etc. makes the Temple a Temple.

This place is amazing, the positivity you'll feel and all your questions will be answered. The staff and pandits are humble and remember not to wear shorts you'll be not allowed. The temple is picturesque ; for a moment you'll be at another energy level there. If you haven't visited, highly recommend.

A sweet piece of Kerala in Delhi. Very clean place with serene atmosphere, even when it gets busy on weekends. I do get to feel the vibes of being in Guruvayur itself. We always try to visit this temple every time we travel through Mayur vihar or nearby. There's also a South Indian canteen (near the rear gate to the temple), which serves delicious South Indian breakfast, and the rates too are like how it would be in South.

Amazing temple everyone must visit to this temple with your full family members also take your friends. You will feel positive energy inside you when you enter the temple and the ambiance inside the temple is very amazing. Peace of mind and soul 🙏🏻. This temple is based on South Indian culture as the name also tells the temple culture but no restrictions are there while entering. If you make any mistakes there are temple staff to guide you and take care of you.

Guruvayoor temple is one of most beautiful temple's in Delhi, majorly visited by South Indian devotees. The place has space for multiple marriages at a same time. The place has good devotional powers. I have been to place for multiple marriages, and the good part is the arrangement and feel at the place. There are marriage hall which has more than 3 floors and each floor can have one function at a time. Multiple catering services are available at the place and each one them offer tasty food. Since it is a temple only vegetarian food can be included in the menu. On can choose from South Indian menu or North Indian menu or even mixed menu as option. The decoration is usually same for all kind of functions. The temple also has facility for other kind of southern cultural things. Visit the place for devotional, foodies and functions at a same time. It is a beautiful temple.
