👍👍 The Auschwitz Jewish Museum tells a story that is often overlooked when people talk about Auschwitz. It presents the story of Jewish life before WW2 and even after. If you ever find yourself visiting Oświęcim and the concentration camp, definitely also pay this museum a visit. I visited the museum and synagogue of Oświęcim right after visiting Auschwitz. I received a guided tour by a museum employee name Lily who was knowledgable and adorable. Lily walked us through the different exhibitions and helped bring back to life the Oświęcim before WWII. The visit in the museum and synagogue was educating and even uplifting, in a sense that while the residents of Oświęcim may be gone, the Jews and the people of Israel and the spirit is still alive.

The museum is very interesting, I highly recommend paying a visit there when you’re visiting Museum Auschwitz. I also recommend visiting the synagogue which is a part of the museum. The synagogue is the only one that survived the war and was restored and opened in 2000

A visit to the museum and restored synagogue is a necessary part of any visit to Oświęcim, because it illustrates the rich Jewish history of the town, including stories of families who perished in the Holocaust and others who survived it. Seeing the restored synagogue is an emotional experience.

Very interesting museum and a lovely tour done by a German Social Volunteer. English, German and Polish tours possible. Visit to the Old Synagogue is also nice and Jewish groups are able to hold a prayer with the old Thora. Beautiful, even though equipped with replicas. Very well worth a visit but don't expect much information on World War II. It's about Jewish life in the city.

I visited the museum for the first time in October 2021, after 4 times in Oświęcim. We toured through the museum displays that commemorating the community of the town who have lived there in the past, through documents, photos, and archive objects that survived WW2 and the Holocaust. The center contains the only synagogue that was not completely destroyed by the Nazis, and it is in good and caring loving hands. As an Israeli and 3rd generation of Holocaust victims and survivors, this center is a wonderful, magical, educational, welcoming and worming place. Our guides, Artur Szyndler and Kamil Gut were available to any of our questions, they showed a lot of knowledge and were very understanding and caring. I returned there since then for 3 more times and found more new things each and every time. GO AND VISIT !

Oshpitzin Jewish Museum in Oświęcim is an extraordinary museum that plays a crucial role in preserving the history and heritage of the Jewish community in the region. Museums like Oshpitzin are essential for educating visitors about Jewish history and culture as well as promoting tolerance and remembrance. Visiting such a museum can be a powerful and educational experience for those interested in learning about this history and I must say that the Educators at Oshpitzin are wonderful and tours with them are amazing. Shout-out to Kamil Gut! 😊

A visit to this educational center is a must if you are going to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This Jewish Center is particularly recommended for schools and students who want to understand the history of the vibrant Jewish life in the region prior to the Holocaust. I highly recommend scheduling a tour with one of the very qualified museum staff or volunteer. The thoughtful displays and commentary will give the visitor a better understanding of the history, and importance, of the Jewish civilization in East-Central Europe. The Center also has a very nice coffee bistro attached to the facility.

An ABSOLUTE MUST for anyone who wants to have a real insight into what the Holocaust really meant for Poland and Europe. A very small, modern exhibition telling the heart-breaking story of a big and prosperous Jewish community whose hometown became the center of extermination of European Jews.

The Auschwitz Jewish Center in Oswiecim is a truly amazing and important place. The museum staff do an amazing job of keeping Jewish history alive in an important place like Oswiecim. It's really a must see. The museum does an excellent job of presenting the history of the Jewish community through artifacts and life stories in a moving and scholarly manner. If you are visiting the Auschwitz camp, you MUST see this museum as well. They can also provide access to the Jewish cemetery in Oswiecim which they maintain.

The AJC is an incredible museum that preserves the Jewish history of the town of Oswiecim. The synagogue has been beautifully restored and the site of the great synagogue of the town has a beautiful memorial. The city tours are very informative as to the notable Jewish places in the town. Highly recommend this museum to learn more about Jewish history in Poland that was erased in the Holocaust.

Took group of Swiss 17-20 year olds. Whenever I guide KL Auschwitz, I add a visit here (even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket!). A must see to understand what was destroyed by Nazis and what replaced it in notoriety (the KL and slave/death facility).
