Excellent computer museum! It is definitely worth a visit. First you have some lecture about important computers with presentation. Most are in working condition and switched on. Later you can play with some of them. They have wardrobe-size old computers from 60s 70s, but also newer ones from 80s 90s like ZX Spectrum (many variants), Commodore (C64,C16, C116, Amiga), Atari, Meritum, Elwro, Acorn, etc. Also gaming consoles. They are doing good job to preserve old computers and keep them running 💕. You can learn how much electronics has evolved. And you will appreciate your easy-to-use laptops and smartphones even more 😂

We had an amazing experience with friends ! The volunteers were so nice and so passionate. They took the time to explain everything to us and share their passion. The fact that a lot of the computer could be used was really nice. I totally recommend to visit and to support the work done here ! Thank you again for this great moment 😃

Amazing place, we were able to interact with old computers and arcades. The people were all passionate and available. They let us play with the piano and were open minded. I recommend 100% !!

It's an amazing place and very much worth to visit with young boys/girls, who were not aware of how compress evolved.... The guide is an excellent person with thorough knowledge, kind to answer all questions. Great to see how they collect and preserve the old models. It's important to reserve the appointment before visiting. We were very lucky to get an English guide without prior reservation. Most of the people are doing voluntary service and their work is well appreciated.

For a computer geek like me born in the 1980s it was a very sentimental and emotional visit - an instant time machine that takes you back to childhood times and memories 🥲 Also huge respect for passionate guys who keep old stuff in running form 👍

Rewelacyjna miejscówka. Wszystkie urządzenia zadbane i czynne. Wiele interesujących informacji i możliwość zagrania na antykach. Taka mała podróż do przeszłości i excytujaca wyprawa dla dzieci i młodzieży. Polecam

Katowice is the capital of the Silesian Voivodeship and the center of a huge industrial agglomeration, located halfway between Krakow and Wroclaw. The local Museum of the History of Computers and Informatics presents almost 4,000 items, including fragments of large computers, mini-computers and PCs, including those made in Poland. Polish computer technology developed in a special way, combining the installations of the Soviet Union, in particular, participation in the program for creating the EU computer , with local developments. Polish analog AKAT-1 is still one of the most recognizable images among all retro devices.

(Translated by Google) A super piece of computer science history. A great place keeper who tells the story about each device. I would recommend!

Podróż do czasów początków komputerów. Polecam szczególnie z dziećmi niech zobaczą i dotkną "staroci" na jakich my graliśmy. Większości eksponatów można dotykać, grać i bawić się. Polecam.

Zdecydowanie polecam.

Świetne miejsce nie tylko dla miłośników komputerów. Historia opowiedziana w sposób ciekawy przez przewodnika. Mnóstwo eksponatów.

👍👍 It's a place to visit and check the mining part of town, made mostly of red bricks. Really stunning to see it in the 21st century and a must for every urbanist. Could be explored in half an hour, several buses are coming from Katowice or taxi is an option too.
