My most favorite view of Paris and definitely a highlight of the city! I have visited many times in the past, but it never ceases to amaze me how grandiose this building is. During my last visit, I waited around 10 minutes to purchase the ticket and another 5 minutes to go through security - all reasonable times, however next time I would buy tickets online. Once I walked up the twisting stairs (there is no elevator for the general public) I entered a lobby where toilets are located, and continued to the roof. I spent about half an hour at the roof deck, walking around and enjoying the view of the city. It was not really busy, people were just chilling, relaxing, and taking pictures. It was really lovely to watch the buzz down there by the roundabout and traffic at Champs-Elysees. As the sun was setting it created fabulous photo opportunities over the La Defense neighborhood. On the way down I passed by a quite large gift shop and watched a couple of videos in the lobby right under the roof deck. I saved some time to walk around the Arc and enjoy the beauty of it. Definitely a place to return to when in Paris! Visited in May 2022.

What a great landmark. Big and bold stretching its arch over a huge area offering 360 degree views of the surrounding areas. A spiral staircase takes one to the viewing deck so be prepared to climb many steps in a close narrow environment with no chairs along the way. One person wide !

Highly recommend. It is a historical monument. Make sure to buy tickets ahead of time otherwise you may be waiting upwards of an hour. There are two elevators if you need them. The first brings you up most of the way to a museum part inside the arc. The second is smaller and brings you to the top. It is definitely a unique view of Paris.

A must visit historical site in Paris in Eiffel Tower district. We walked through the underground tunnel to the ticket window, hardly waited 5 minutes in the line before we got ours. They check your bags and you walk through a scanner. Beware there are quite a few stairs to climb, approximately 284 steps to the first floor on a spiral staircase and then there are more steps to reach the other two floors including the terrace. There's also an elevator to the main floor. From the top one can see the beautiful city. There's a beautiful souvenir shop also where you'll find things, at good prices, stationary is beautiful and I did not find such pretty notebooks anywhere else. Washrooms on the same floor. Once down, there's the tomb of the unknown soldier. Overall great experience!

Really cool experience, you can really spend a bit of time here reading all of the displays and material they have. The views from the top were breathtaking and it is a don't miss spot. It was well worth the extra ticket, it was only a few bucks more and it let us skip a line which was helpful since we were trying to zoom all around Paris in one day.

Driving from the bottom to the top is such an experience. There are so many shopping places to see big buildings with beautiful landscaping. I enjoyed every moment driving on top and the closer you get the bigger the place is. There's so much to do. There's a way to walk up there and to drive up there and when you get on top you can see everything from there.

Beautiful architecture. How huge and detailed it is. It's in the center of a round about . So you can take a subway path down to go close to the monument. You don't need to stand in the center of the busy road to take perfect pictures.

An iconic symbol of the city and world tourism. Beautiful view of the city even more when your eyes cross the Eifeil Tower. You can climb to the top of the monument or just go under it. The access to both places is the same and only the queues are different.

Walk to the top and enjoy a 360 view of Paris. Stop on your way up and down to visit the museum and gift shop. At 6:30 PM, you can watch the lighting ceremony for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

I didn't get a chance to get inside but definitely enjoyed walking around it and admiring this architectural art. You can surely take enough photos with it although many people are visiting there every day every hour. Be careful not to pass the road by walking, that's dangerous and wrong. There are different underground passes that will do the work. One of the must visit places in Paris, and looks like it is better to visit it by climbing it up and also getting an astonishing view of Paris.

If you travel to Paris this is one of the must see, we visited on a Sunday around lunch time and there were no queues, we got GoCity passes before we travelled to Paris (we always get city passes wherever we go, it gets you up and out and about) entrance was free with the City passes. You get a great view of must if Paris form the top, probably the best view as you can get some great photos of the Eiffel Tower which you can’t get when your up the Eiffel Tower!! Well worth a visit to this world famous landmark.

I always saw this structure in photos, videos, etc, but never thought how magnificent it would be to see it in person and touch it and experience its history. Take your time in this place and don't rush yourself. If you can pay a ticket to climb and see the city from above, do it, you won't regret it. Also be advised that there are always a lot of people in this place, so have that in mind. Also check the calendar because some specific dates the streets around might be closed and the access prohibited like during new Years Eve.

It was amazing! A must for any tourist. Book in advance! Was there early and the workers began opening the venue and controlling our bags punctually. Careful! You got to walk lots of stairs but it's definitely worth it. There's a souvenir shop inside with good things and some are cheap.

Beautiful monument to soldiers and a must see in Paris. Crazy roundabout that surrounds it so be careful, if crossing. Didn’t get a chance to go up to the top but it was amazing to see from the ground. We had fun trying to figure out the traffic pattern too.

Beautiful arc in the centre of the roundabout and easy to get through by tunnels. Amazing views from the top and I would highly recommend going at night as it’s the perfect place to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle. I was lucky enough to watch a procession while visiting

What a magnificent piece of architecture full of history! Was late when I arrived so didn't get a chance to go on top to view one of the most popular luxury commercial streets in the world. But it was such an amazing experience to have visited with much less traffic due to covid and met people from all over the world who were waiting in line to have their photos taken. Absolutely loved my first trips to Paris and surely it won't be my last.

Visited this great monument with the family and it was very enjoyable. Upon arrival we wondered how we would be able to cross the road as the traffic was crazy but realised there was an underpass which is the only way and is a lot safer. Access to the top is ticket only but is free for children which was a bonus. There is no lift so be prepared to climb quite a few steps to the top. Going out onto the roof gives you great views over the city and spotting the various sites was fun too! Well worth a visit.

Another great place to visit in Paris. I love the walk from the Champs Elysees to the end of the road with all shops in between. The Arc looks spectacular and you can go to the top of it and get a great view of the city. Just hang out and watch people crossing the roundabout all round the day. You get clean restrooms inside the Arc 😋

Arc de Triomphe is beautiful. It’s very nice piece of history. You can also go on top and experience Paris from that height. I also liked actual shopping area around it. Beautiful cobble stone roads leading to beautiful stores. Architecture done on this monument is amazing. You can’t miss it when in Paris.

Very pretty! When you are a European citizen under the 26 going to the top is free!! Would definately reccomand going to the top if its free for you! Otherwise the view is nice but going to the top is quite expensive and might not be worth your while. I did like this view better then from the Eiffel tower! It is magical to see it from the street tho!

Fantastic view of entire city of Paris. Great place to take photos and video but selfie stick big no no. Ticket cost 13 euros entrance fee. Elevator is only for disable people or have asthma. Otherwise going upstairs you have to go through 200 plus steps.

Great view at the top, not a bad entry fee at €13 for over 18s. Under 18s do go for free, however I believe they still need to queue up? Would highly recommend booking a ticket online it's way quicker and you don't have to queue for ages. Well maintained, has other parts to it. All round very good.

The center monument of Paris and the most famous of them all. The monument is breath-taking and marvelous. You could purchase an online ticket for only 13€ to avoid the crowded queue on the official website. You better chose the visit hour very carefully to avoid sun heat, I prefer sunset hour. The stairs can be very annoying and challenging for some, especially the elders or people with special needs. There is a souvenir store in there but most of the items and gifts are way too expensive.

You can’t get there by crossing the street and the underground tunnel was difficult to locate (no signage whatsoever), but once I got there it was magnificent! I didn’t stand in line to go up to the top - too many stairs! - and I don’t regret it. The details on every inch of the monument are incredibly beautiful and I spent over an hour just taking it all in.

Great place to visit. The photos actually do not do this structure justice. Taking the stairs to the top was a challenge, but the view was definitely a great payoff! We weren't planning on visiting but we're glad we did. Having no designated safe space for photos is both dangerous and cool at the same time...taking a photo with fear of being run over...lol

There was only a couple of big monuments on our “must see” list when visiting Paris, and this was one of them. But I can say for absolute certainty that I was not expecting it to be so big! Or to be able to climb up inside it either! Would highly recommend going up to the top and looking out over Paris!

I loved visiting this structure! One of my favorites in all of Paris. Be very careful when taking a picture here as the street is very busy. You can cross the street through an underground tunnel to safely visit the Arc de Triomphe as well. It is a beautiful structure in the heart of Paris and is well worth your visit.

Famous street and monument. Great spot to take pictures and walk around. Remember that to get in front of the monument you need to walk under the street by taking the stairs down. This will take you directly in front of the monument. Some people are not aware of this and just run through traffic which you’re not supposed to do and is dangerous. Great place and picture spot.

This majestic monument, commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte, honors the soldiers who fought and died for France. Its monumental size and intricate design command attention, offering spectacular views of the city from its observation deck. Whether admiring its intricacies up close or marveling at it from afar, the Arc de Triomphe embodies the spirit of resilience and victory, making it a must-see attraction for any visitor to Paris.

It has a height of 50 m. It was built between 1806 and 1836 by order of Napoleon. Initially Napoleon wanted it to be built in the Bastille Square. Its design is inspired by the Arch of Titus in Rome (80 AD). Inside the Arch there is a museum that explains its history and construction, the entrance fee is 13 euros, I don't know if it's worth it, since the magnificent thing about the Arch is precisely its exterior design..... If you are looking for good views, save these euros and go to the Eiffel Tower.

Easy access and short lines from below. Just a short walk up and then there is an elevator available for those who can't manage many stairs. And if you ask, there is another elevator available from the gift shop level to the top. Amazing views 360 degrees around to see all of Paris.

This as everyone knows is a wonderful monument to visit. You need to walk through underground passage in the street to access the base. Going up, you can find the entrance. Book your tickets online to skip the line and take the basic entrance, climbing the stairs to the top. The view there is magnificent. Take your binoculairs for extra joy. In the evening during the sunset you can capture the whole 360 degree view of the connecting streets.

I wish I could come to Paris one more time to see the Arc de Triomphe without that ugly piece of sheet on it. I was really disappointed when it turned out that instead of the great cultural heritage I saw a big SOMETHING. There was some actions in support to the modern art, and I have no doubt that we have lots of talented people nowadays, but I think they should express themselves not at the classic art expense.

Absolutely excellent and well worth a visit, it is especially worth paying for a visit to the top for a spectacular view with some very interesting facts along the way. Be warned there are over 200 steps to the top, however I believe there is an elevator installed for disabled access. We came at an off peak time of year (February) minimal waits and minimal other humans. We also recommend buying tickets in advance as it makes the process much quicker and stress free.

Beautiful! Definitely worth going up to the terrace. The staircase is a spiral staircase, but absolutely doable even for people who aren’t too fit. Try to go right before the sun sets, so you can enjoy the view of the city in daylight, followed by a breathtaking sunset and then you should most definitely stick around for a while to then watch the first Eiffel Tower light show of the night. Unexpected Plus: There are very clean restrooms as you go down (or while you are up there).

This is one of my favorite places in Paris and one that surprised me the most. The exterior is beautiful but the real pay off is the terrace on top. It's about 300 steps up a spiral staircase to the top but the climb is doable for most. The views from the top are spectacular and a great place to get photos of the city with the Eiffel Tower in them.

(Translated by Google) In 1806, Napoleon I ordered the construction of the Arc de Triomphe in honor of the Grande Armée. Inspired by the arcades of Antiquity, this emblematic monument bears the illustrious names of the nation and houses the tomb of the unknown soldier, whose flame is renewed every evening. A new museography now provides a better understanding of the history of the monument, as well as its national and international symbolic importance. From the terrace it is possible to admire, day and night, a unique view of the Champs Elysées. The Arc de Triomphe is, with the Eiffel Tower, the most representative monument of Paris. Commemorates Napoleon's military victories. The construction of the Arc de Triomphe lasted thirty years: Napoleon ordered its construction in 1806, after the Battle of Austerlitz. The Arc de Triomphe (known in France as the Arc de triomphe de l'Étoile) is an important monument of Paris. It is located at the end of the Avenue des Champs Elysées, in the center of Piazza della Stella (today called "Charles de Gaulle"). The monument was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte to celebrate the victory in the Battle of Austerlitz. De la terrasse il est possible d'admirer, de jour comme de nuit, une vue unique sur les Champs Elysées. L'Arc de Triomphe est, avec la Tour Eiffel, le monument le plus représentatif de Paris. Hello Everyone, Let me explain my standard pointing system as I always do. First of all; All the stuff can speak English. And also, they are very helpful and smiling all the time. There is an elevator if you are with kids or if you don't want to use ladders. Ticket price is acceptable if you want to see Paris from the top. All in all, you will love it \o/

This tourist attraction is "near" the Eiffel tower, at least I walk from the Eiffel tower to the Arc. Is a 2.2km or around 1.3 miles. Sadly it was under maintenance and is not so pleasant to visit, if you're expecting to take nice pictures wait until 2022. Otherwise is a historic site that I couldn't loose to see in my fast trip through Paris. It is also well connected, you can visit the Arc from the airport taking the train B and then use the combination train A, the tickets are expensive, costing 20.6 euros for a round trip from the airport, to the Arc and back. To be able to go into the the Arc you also have to pay 13 euros.

An amazing monument. It's just awe inspiring. The monument itself is about 50 meters tall. Fun fact; you can actually go to the top of the building and look at some amazing views of Paris. The stairs are quite intense to climb, but they do offer some nice views when you look down. Definitely worth a visit!

I would say worth a visit if you are in Paris. There are lots and lots of stairs and elevators reserved for those that need them. Entrance is in the underground passage. There isn’t much of a museum but you can walk around the base of the arc and on top. There is also some information on the building inside and a gift shop. Great views. Busy in summer but not in the evening from September on a weekday.

The climb to the top was very physically demanding. But the view from the top is beautiful! We even saw a ceremony for the unknown soldier when we came back down. Definitely worth a visit, especially in the evening when the whole city lights up! Recommend to purchase a museum pass or book tickets beforehand rather than buying a ticket there.

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most recognisable landmarks anywhere. It is a stunning monument. It was constructed at the start of the 19th century and it honours those who sacrificed their lives during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic wars. It is the French Tomb to the Unknown Soldier. It is a sacred site. There is an eternal flame at the base of the monument. On its walls are inscribed figures and names of people regarded as French heroes. It also forms a huge, but convenient traffic roundabout at one of the busiest intersections of Paris. You can climb to the top for a price to get better views if you wish.

It is a very impressive and elegant monument, but it is not as imposing as we see in many films. Still, it is beautiful up close and in a way exciting to be in a world symbol of one of the world's capitals. It is in the middle of a roundabout of several important routes, among them the Champs Elyseés, so you will probably pass by here, so it is worth a jump here!

Many would say that this is the best place to view the Eiffel Tower. After climbing 284 steps, you not only get a great panoramic view of the city, but also the Eiffel Tower from an ideal height of around 50 meters above ground level. The best time to climb the tower is an hour before sunset as you get to see the Eiffel Tower glow in the dark blue sky.

Lucky I went on the Arc de Triomphe on the day the Christo project started. It was amazing seeing the arc getting covered. I can just encourage every one to get on top of the arc, it’s totally worth it though there are a few hundred steps to walk up:)

Even though the Arc was undergoing renovations when I visited, the view was still great. Having the ability to walk around the Arc and view it from different angles made the trip worth it. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. It’s a short train ride from the Louvre museum, and well worth the trip if you’re into architecture and design.

Get your ticket online (timed entry like many places) and save much needed time by avoiding long waiting lines to go on top. Cool 360 views of Paris. The exterior is surrounded by a red crane making the photos of the Arc a bit less attractive.

Fantastic views from the top. We came at night and it was amazing to see all the Christmas lights and views from all sides! I’ve a massive fear of heights so couldn’t do the stairs but the staff were really helpful and allowed me to use the lift both up there and back down so I thank them for that so I didn’t have to miss out on a fab experience. Nice gift shop up the top too

Another site in the middle of the city that I felt really in love with is Arc de Triomphe. This is the center to more than 10 mains roads converge and every angle of the arc gives you an amazing view. Grab some crepes made on the carts which you find on the sidewalks here… amazing street food!! And snap your snaps 📸

Free entry for students. The view at the top offers a good gain of perspectives over Paris, such as giving one the feeling being the center of attention (you are the center of attention because all roads merge here). Getting to the top and back down again requires one to climb a spiral staircase - not recommend for someone getting dizzy easily.

Such a wonderful view from the top. Beautiful landmark very well kept customer service is excellent. The Arc is free for children under 18. There is a line with or without ticket as far as I know so plan accordingly I had a ticket and still waited 45 minutes to enter.

All I can say is the walk to the top is very rewarding. You have the most marvelous view no matter which side you are on. There are some stairs. Not as many as the Eiffel Tower, but enough to let you know you climbed to the top. The interaction that we had with the young security guard was phenomenal. Because he knew how everything was supposed to go, he made sure to direct everyone to where they needed to be while being extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful landmark in the city of Paris! I always enjoy coming here to admire the arc and all of the beautiful cafes that sit around it! The entrance to get to the top is roughly 13 euro, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get in because the line was over an hour wait and it was freezing outside! Here you will also find the memorial for the unknown soldier. It is located just 25 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and you can definitely knockout both sites back to back!

Beautiful, massive, historic and important. This monument is a must-see. The vision to build it was impressive and the passion to maintain its integrity and beauty are to be admired. A lot of stairs so be ready! We easily got tickets in minutes but we were a bit off season, so plan ahead if you can. The 360 degree views at the top are unforgettable. Highest recommendation.

A Glorious view awaits you at the top. At the bottom you may encounter a long line, so purchase your tickets and avoid one line. We purchased ours through our hotel. Scanning the ticket at the entrance needed several tries by the patient employee however we gained entrance. A security check was rather quick and in general the long line moved quickly. On this day there was a rather elaborate ceremony with uniformed soldiers and the eternal flame . Absolutely heartwarming. Once you gain entrance be prepared to walk a considerable amount of stairs to reach the top. There are alcove spots that you can stop to catch your breath. Don’t be fooled by the age of the climbers many were elderly doing just fine. Once you reach the top you are greeted by a nice sturdy bench for resting. There are toilets at the top as well as a pleasant gift shop. A special feature that I will not spoil with a picture is a glass floor area that lets you look straight down from center of the Arc. Out on the roof top as they say you can see for miles and miles! Enjoy this highly recommended sight. A couple of notes;there’s a walkway underground that gets you to the Arc entrance. Hold on to your cameras and belongings as there seems to be unsavory folks that naturally target tourists. Enjoy the echos of the street performers in this tunnel.

Highly recommend a visit. Watch the stairs though. When we arrived in Paris I wasn't feeling very well but persisted with the climb. Thank goodness there is a rest point, seats, information displays over half way up with the viewing camera looking directly below. Once at the top, you are greeted with 360 views of the beautiful Paris laid out before you. Enjoy the distant views and the amazing feats of endurance, skill and nerve of the drivers circling around the roads below you. Such an amazing monument and totally worth the visit any time of day or night.

It's a very impressive and historical monument. I didn't get a ticket, but i have noticed that you get in from an underground entrance because the monument is in the middle of a big roundabout. Although i wasn't close to the arc i was able to take some great pictures, and to see the details that they were scalped to symbolize the people and important moments from the French revolution.

Very interesting and impressive place. I you want to go to the top, be prepared to climb a long stair, bring water, and buy the ticket on-line (we buy it on-line being there because of the long line of people, and could access quickly). One level before te top, it's a souvenirs store, a toilette, and some historic information. The view is great, but it's a bit crowded. There is an elevator for people with special needs to reach the top

A historical monument in Paris, the approach to the arc is through a tunnel and one can't go there by crossing the road. As many tourists visit this place, it is expected to have proper signs around for the approach. The monument is amazing and the view from the top is amazing.

📅 20-01-2023 📍 Paris, France The monument's grandeur is awe-inspiring. The intricate details and towering presence make it a must-see in Paris. Visiting in January was a good choice as it was less crowded, allowing for a more enjoyable experience. Getting to the top may take a little patience, but the panoramic view of Paris is totally worth it! It's a fantastic vantage point to see the city's landmarks in all their glory.

The first thing to say is, I hate heights. Never liked them, never will. However, I managed this. (Apart from nearly tripping over as we got to the top... too busy filming). Standing in queue and realised you need to buy a ticket before you got in the line. Quickly went on line to the official site, took 1 minute, and purchased the ticket for the actual time we were there. An official walked by and asked us which tickets we had, and because it was for that time, he moved us to the front of the queue. Perfect, thank you! However, the queue was not long at all and was moving really fast. Held the hand rail all the way up, didn't look down between the spiral staircase(husband took that photo!), and made it to the top! What a view.

Two hundred and eighty stairs of French history and architectural beauty! The ascent to the terrace is no walk in the park, but the view is legendary. Every staple monument, the Eiffel Tower, Lourve, etc., are viewable from the terrace! The Arc is a visual masterpiece; pictures do not give it justice. There is a reason why The Arc is on everyone's Paris list!

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the world’s best-known commemorative neoclassical monuments. It stands at the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle in a circular plaza from which 12 grand avenues radiate forming a star. As per the history, the construction began in 1806, on August 15, Napoleon’s birthday when he commissioned to celebrate the military achievements of the French armies after his great victory at the Battle of Austerlitz (1805) but work was completed in 1836, during the reign of King Louis-Philippe, who opened it officially on July 29. Beneath the arch lies France’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, added in 1921. A flame of remembrance there, first lit in 1923, is rekindled each evening and continues to serve as an iconic symbol of France, to the country itself and to the world. The access to the Arc is underground and is totally free. The train and Metro stations are only steps away.

The location of the arc and the plaza is shared between three arrondissements, 16th (south and west), 17th (north), and 8th (east). The Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. L'Arc de Triomphe Wrapped opened to the public on Saturday 18 September, following its postponement due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will be in place for 16 days. As part of the installation, the large Place Charles de Gaulle road junction that surrounds the monument has been temporarily pedestrianised to allow people to see the installation and touch it freely. Visitors can also observe the installation from the Arc de Triomphe's terrace, which remains open alongside its interiors. No tickets are needed to see, approach, and touch the work of art

When visiting the Arc, I learned that it was the first time in history they stopped traffic around it. The art was beautiful, although I was a bit sad to not see the Arc de Triomphe in its typical state.

  • 5/5 Scotty L. 2 years ago on Google
Remarkable. The stature of this structure is breathtaking in person. It’s worth getting close. Another amazing view is from Champs-Élysées facing East on the western side of the arch. While I was visiting, it was wrapped as part of Cristo’s last work. I felt incredibly lucky to have been able to be in Paris to see this very cool work in person. I’ve attached some pictures of the texture, wrapping, and surrounding area. There’s only one day left to see the wrapping, so I hope you decide to go! If you miss it, the arch itself is a work of art, so it’s absolutely worth the trek regardless.

Iconic site for your tour of Paris. Just a quick walk through the metro tunnels once you exit The station, and your at the surface with a perfect view of the Arc. This is also an excellent starting point of a walk down the Champs de Élysée. The traffic in the circle is unreal, but everyone seems to know what they’re doing. Fantastic monument to visit, thoroughly enjoyed my visit on 18th Feb. Nearly 300 steps to climb to get to the viewing area at the top, just below this is a decent sized gift shop. Also on this level is a display covering the original building works/changes and also significant events in the history of Paris in which the Arc de Triomphe played a role. The metro gets you to with a few minutes walk via an underground walkway. Can be windy at the top, so warm clothes!

  • 5/5 Mohammad G. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely go up there to see the view. Note: if you're an EU resident, you can show them a proof and get a ticket to go upstairs for free. Also note that the staircase upwards is very steep and swirly, so it will take some effort to climb up.

  • 5/5 Sadesh A. 1 year ago on Google
An absolutely amazing place to visit. I highly recommend it to anyone who travelled to Paris. The sheer size of construction coupled with the view from above was breath taking. In April the wind up there was very chilly and warm clothes would be ideal. Really loved the experience up there.

  • 5/5 Francis 1 year ago on Google
Wasn't planning on going up but once we got there changed our minds and so glad we did. The price is €13 and the stairs are quite a lot of work but it's totally worth it for the amazing views. Make sure you take the time to walk around the whole thing in the middle to get some pretty nice shots with barely anyone in the pictures.

Historic places worth visiting and iconic landmarks of Paris. I would visit this place again. Such grandeur and majestic look! There are big bud stop right in front of it and if you walk down from there hundreds of top brands showrooms. Normally Never seen people waiting in the line to enter a showroom except on Boxing Day sale however here in Paris, it’s the usual daily sighting I believe. Anyway worthwhile spending some time here and spend some money if you care less:p

Nice site to visit. Careful navigating the crossings around the roundabout, but there is a tunnel that connects the opposite sides and allows paid entrance to the arc. Their credit machine was down, and we didn't have cash on us yet to go inside, so I recommend bringing 14 euro each in cash to be safe.

  • 5/5 Reed F. 1 year ago on Google
Great view at the top. Not too expensive to visit. (13€). Be prepared for the spiral stairs. There is a priority lift but (they) let you know it's just for people who really need it. It's not the most interesting places to visit, but it is worth going. I spent an hour there and about twenty minutes in the gift shop.

  • 5/5 Emmanuel S. 1 year ago on Google
A must visit if you’re in Paris. Fascinating place and history. Reasonable price and not as busy as I expected. Great view on top which you see the whole Paris. Only one toilet available for the amount of tourists visiting the place. Staircase was a little tiring to climb but worth it. It was a bit drizzly on the the day we were there and they even preparing for the fireworks display on that day we visited. Magnificent building.

  • 5/5 Brittany D. 9 months ago on Google
Less lines than the going up to the Eiffel tower and I think a better view since you can see how Paris "stars" out from the arc and see the Eiffel Tower! There are a lot of stairs to get up but it's an easy climb. Lots of interesting history and images inside as well. Whether you go up or just walk around, it's a great experience for when you're in Paris!

Before my travels to the Seine river cruise, I stopped at the Arc de Triomphe. The metro took me directly to the Arc and it was a half block walk to the destination! It was adorable to see the Arc peaking through the trees as I emerged from the metro! It was a beautiful day so getting pictures was amazing! I did not do the tour nor did I walk over to the Arc, the street was busier than I cared for but having a seat on a lovely shaded bench and taking in the sites was just as fulfilling. There were plenty of people who had concessions stands so on an 85° day, water was very much appreciated at 2€! The Arc was definitely a sight to see and I didn't feel that I missed anything by not going inside nor up close too it! It was mesmerizing all on its own!!

  • 5/5 Rick D. 1 year ago on Google
It’s amazing to watch the traffic around here almost crash into each other every single minute of the day. The Arc itself is an astonishing sight with a lot of details. The metro stops right beneath it so it’s easy to get to. And while you’re there you must walk along the Champs-Élysées

  • 5/5 Antônio C. 9 months ago on Google
Awesome view from Paris, very cool experience. Be aware that you need to climb several steps to get to the top, so be prepared. Once you’re there, it isn’t that big of a place, so I believe that when too crowded it can be bit tricky to get a good place to see the city, specially on the corner that faces the Eiffel Tower. Buy your tickets online, way better than getting in the queue there.

  • 5/5 Dew 8 months ago on Google
The Arch is definitely worth the visit once in Paris. There is so much to learn about its history and architecture. It is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, France, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. We visited the arch on a weekday. There was a very long line up and we had to wait for around 15 minutes though we had initially thought we could get easy access with the Paris museum pass. Booking tickets in advance is highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Arzu A. 8 months ago on Google
Lovely experience. I definitely recommend people to go upstairs to the terrace to have a panoramic view of Paris. Be careful for taking the spiralling stairs, if you get easily dizzy; I don’t recommend this for you. We have seen many during the heat (30 degrees) fainting… after taking the stairs upstairs and going downstairs.

  • 3/5 Jeremy J. 4 months ago on Google
Really cool monument! Nice views up top. Staff was very unpleasant and had to revisit 2x since they were on strike during our first visit which would have been included in our museum pass but we had to pay again when we came back because our pass was no longer good and they wouldn't do anything for us. Still a beautiful spot though!

  • 5/5 S. W. 4 months ago on Google
Remarkable monument. Everyone knows this place that has any common knowledge of France. What I was surprised to find out was that you could go inside and there is a small museum and gift shop inside... after you climb almost 300 stairs... so be prepared. There is an elevator if you are not able to climb. It's got a great view of the city from the top, and if you're going to go see it, go ahead and spend the few extra dollars out takes to go inside and upstairs. You won't regret it.

  • 5/5 Benny C. 4 months ago on Google
It's epic, historical and imposing. When we stand there you find out you're standing at the centre of roads radiating towards different areas of Paris. When you walk close, underneath it you see architectural and artistic beauty. It is always worth a visit however many times you've been Paris.

A beautiful site to add to your Paris visit. You can walk up close to it too which I did not know until a friend and I saw people walking under the arc. I really recommend checking this site out if you have the time. Plus there were cute little vendors around selling things.

Excellent views of the city... And even better at night. Magical views of the Eiffel Tower.... Try to get there at night on the hour for blinking lights. Spend the extra.... Go to the top. The stairs are tiring, but the end result is well worth it.

This was an enjoyable walk around. Make sure you take caution crossing the street since there's no real crosswalk. You'll have to navigate all the cars to get to the center when there's lots of traffic. The architecture is a pleasure to photograph and just appreciate. You can buy tickets to walk inside and up the stairs but I didn't do that. I just walked all around the arch. Definitely recommend you stop at this location and enjoy.

Nice tourist destination, only a short queue to buy tickets to go in. You can go up on top of the arc. Entrance is situated on street level, to go underground. There’s some information along the tunnels too which was nice! Wished there was an official souvenir store outside the arc too.

This is one of the coolest landmarks in Paris. No tickets necessary just park and walk over it just walk if your close. Some advice don’t try to drive it, I did and it was extremely stressful cars coming from everywhere other on motorbikes trying to hit you. Park and walk trust me on that.

It was a nice surprise that you can climb the stairs to the roof. We did not get timed tickets as we were there in the third week of November. Waited about 15 minutes to start climbing the stairs. It is slightly difficult. Great view of the Eiffel Tower, streets, and the city. I wouldn't put it at the top of the list in Paris, but I was glad we did it.
