I
rely
heavily
on
reviews
to
select
hotels.
This
hotel
had
great
reviews
and
appears
lovely
in
the
pictures,
so
I
booked
it
for
eight
nights.
I
will
break
this
review
down
into
three
parts:
the
good,
the
bad,
and
the
ugly.
The
Good
The
setting
is
absolutely
lovely.
The
staff
are
very
pleasant
to
deal
with.
The
room
is
quirky
in
a
nice,
post-colonial
way.
The
restaurant
is
okay.
Internet
speeds
are
acceptable.
The
chocolate
factory
and
rum
distillery
are
fairly
close
by.
The
Bad
The
hotel
is
very
far
away
from
just
about
everything.
Having
a
rental
car
would
help,
but
the
roads
are
terrible.
Taxis
will
cost
a
fortune
to
go
into
St.
Georges.
The
local
towns
are
not
appealing
in
the
least.
The
furniture
in
our
room
was
not
very
comfortable.
The
couches
were
very
low
and
the
table
and
bench
on
the
veranda
were
pretty
much
useless
as
a
place
to
work
at
a
computer.
The
staff
did
not
know
we
were
coming
even
though
we
called
the
day
before
to
confirm
the
reservation
and
left
a
message.
Apparently,
their
interface
with
Expedia
is
not
good,
as
the
manager
checked
the
queue
for
our
reservation
and
said
three
or
four
others
had
come
in
without
the
notifications
they
expected.
The
Ugly
There
was
no
air
conditioning
in
the
room
or
in
the
other
“Nutmeg”
suites!!!
We
were
told
that
when
the
trade
winds
are
blowing
it
is
fine,
but
it
was
90+
degrees
during
the
day
and
80+
at
night
with
high
humidity.
Lying
awake
at
2:00
a.m.
with
sweat
rolling
down
our
foreheads
was
not
our
idea
of
a
lovely
vacation.
We
ended
up
moving
to
another
hotel.
The
manager
was
very
gracious
about
offering
to
charge
us
only
for
the
two
nights
we
were
there,
but
it
took
almost
a
month
of
my
pushing
increasingly
harder
to
get
the
credit
issued
as
promised.
