The Hotel is in a neat spot, pretty close to a few shops and also the ocean, if you're into that unlike myself. There is "one" main pool, which is actually two seperate pools, but they're pretty good, bonus points for the nice borders. Aside from that, there is a secondary pool with two slides, one of which is on every day, they swap in alternating order. Both pools also have a nice poolbar where you can order drinks reaching from water to coke to cocktails. The poolbar at the mainpool also offers foods throughout the day, starting with some muffins before noon, onto burgers and HOTDOGS till about 5 i think, and a few sweets like chocolate donuts till they eventually close for the day. Rooms are all pretty good, though be warned, I've encountered a total of three cockroaches, and also lots of tiny ants (though I wouldn't know how to fix that). If you need help with something like that, the service at the hotel can surely help, said service was also good; competent, nice, and all requests (e.g. a broken lamp) were taken care of very quickly. There's also a beachbar, quite far from the beach but it's got a nice view. It also offers drinks like the other poolbars. Considering food, there were three main meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast and lunch offered a multitude of things every day, reaching from pudding to cereals, onto bread with all kinds of toppings, e.g. sausages, cheese, eggs, as well as cooked bacon. For dinner, they have a weekly schedule on what they offer. Throughout the week they offer different meats, salads, fishs, and some nice desserts like chococubes, jello, and even a chocolate well. It's also veggy-friendly. Also all of these work in a buffet way. There is also a small asian dinner option, which you have to make a reservation first because there aren't a lot of tables there, but with all inclusive it's still free. The food there is consists of noodles, rice and some meat, along with some sushi and small sweets for dessert. The food there stays the same every day I believe. I wouldn't say it's anything special though. That's it for the base services, now let's cover the hotel activities. There's mini-club for children, though I haven't been there as I was too old and not interested anyways. Aside from that, every day the Animation-team from acttiv, and something similar to coralia or smt had different events lined up (save for saturday as that is the resting day of the hotel). They also made different drinks every day, e.g. Mohito, Sangria and others. On all days (except saturday) they also do things like stretching, aquagym, yoga and so on, they're pretty neat and do get you some good exercise. After the Aquagym, they also do a club dance at 12 or so. I don't know if I can link the original songs due to copyright and all, but they took a couple songs, made a custom version, and dance to it. On some days you can also come along to some air-gun shooting, as well as bow and arrow things. ALSO, I skipped some facilities earlier. Below the hotel entrance/lounge, there is the Bar Turquesa. They usually also have some neat activities there, like bingo and a white party, though I've only participated in bingo. There's a gym, as well as tennis and minigolf. these are facilities you don't really hear about, unless someone tells you about it, or you look at all the facilities on the website. There's also a billiard table, foosball, and airhockey just outside bar turquesa. Though you can't play if you aren't ready to spend a few coins. Overall, I'd say the hotel is definetly pretty good, but the lack of attention to the gym and other facilities, as well as the location-sharing is kinda bad. With location-sharing I mean, that over speakers you always hear them announcing things like yoga is in ten minutes or something. But they never say where they do that and all. I'd also like a paper listing all facilities and locations in order to fix both of these main issues. My Verdict: 8/10 Good (edging on a 9/10).

The holiday was ruined by disappointing aspects of this hotel. I travel for over 6 months each year and have stayed at a vast number of hotels, but the food here was depressingly poor, so despite being on an all-inclusive package, I chose to eat out a lot at night to acquire hot and higher-quality meals. The main restaurant was mediocre. There wasn't much variety, and the supposedly 'hot' food was lukewarm - and made even worse as there weren't any plate warmers. The freshly cooked fish was tasteless and seemed the same daily. The coffee was awful. The pool bar lunch was mostly the same daily. Choice of a dried-out and an almost cold burger or hot dog and chips, cooked long ago. The 'chef' seemed to do a tray full of each, then stand around chatting. A much better use of his time would be to cook to order, to ensure the food was hot and of a higher quality. The only other food outlet on site was an Asian restaurant - which was okay, but with only one visit per week allowed. The room was awful, with plaster falling off the walls in a number of places, a daily incursion of ants in the bathroom, multiple cockroaches, threadbare old bed linen and towels, two uncomfortable single beds, and multiple occasions of no hot water. I was so disappointed with this hotel that I stayed at two other hotels on the island at my own expense (both of which were of much higher quality despite being the same or lesser star rating)... ...and I returned home 4 days early! The hotel has good beach access, the restaurant 'cleaning up' staff were pleasant and efficient, and the grounds were lovely. However, the overall experience was awful, and this holiday was ruined due to the poor combination of food and room quality. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

This 4* hotel is a joke. I never had such a bad experience. There is no water or any drinks in the room, no free wi-fi. Also, when you enter the lobby, you can feel the smell of whatever its been cooked in the kitchen. The restaurant looks like an old canteen that I used to have in my boarding school and in top of that, on the beach you need to pay an extra 9€ a day for the beach chairs (when I have asked why do I have to pay, I have been told that there is a pool inside the resort where those are free). Also I have paid for a room with see view and all I can see from my room are the trees. I would give this resort 2* no more.

Clean resort. Great location, good food, friendly service, fun animation program (yoga, pilates, aquagym, volleybal, petanque etc). Only downside is that the mini club for kids is suitable only from 7+ obnoxious ones. Our 5 year old can go only under parental supervision which makes it pretty much useless.

Perfect adequate in every way, for the price paid to stay 5 nights, all-inclusive. Our (apartment) style room was of decent size. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower was very good, with impressive water pressure. The TV was modern, large, and had plenty of German / Polish channels to choose from. House-keeping did a good job of refreshing the room each day ie: any sand that we brought in was brushed away. - it would have been nice to have the room stocked with bottled water, however again, given the price we paid, no bottled water was fine. We made do. Food & dining Perfectly adequate - 3 stars. Breakfast presented many hot / cold / healthy options, so we were not disappointed. Lunch service was "ok", a mix of hot and cold food; chicken, fish, cheeses, basic salad ingredients, and ice cream (delicious) Evening meal selection changed every night. The fish was delicious, as were the ribs served on Thursday night. Rather than load our plates up with absolutely everything every night, we picked and chose, so we didnt run out of options. If your strategy for an inclusive buffet-dining experience is to load your plate up with everything on offer, then you will be somewhat limited by night 3. We also dined one evening at the Asian restaurant (booked via reception, and still included in the price). I thought this again was "ok", simply because Asian food is better when it isnt warmed under lights. My partner enjoyed the prawn coconut curry very much. The evening entertainment we didnt bother with, as we were not accompanied by any children. However we did participate in the daily activities organised by the Animation (entertainment) Team; pilates, yoga, stretching. These were very good, and we found the enthusiasm of the Animation Team (6 staff) to be very good also, considering how big this place is, and the number of guest staying also. The gym was decent; dumbbells up to 24kgs. Smith Machine, plus lat & back machines. Rowing machine, mats etc. Everything you'd expect to find, all in good condition. Location from the beach was great, we enjoyed afternoon walks along the beach. The actual SBH monica beach resort complex itself is vast, however this meant that there was enough space, by way of various terraces and areas, to enjoy mostly quiet times in the sun. The main swimming pool area was dominated by families etc, and you need to be out there before sunrise to put your towels down to secure a sun lounger - but hey, it's been like that for years, so again no issue. All of our staff encounters were fine. We never had any issues, and found them all easy to speak to, and happy to help. One tip - take a water bottle with you. There are not bottled waters in rooms (not in ours at least). So you can be left with either repeated trips to the bar all day, or going thirsty. We noted that the 'smart travellers' were filling up their (gym) Water bottles each night to take back to their rooms. All in all, I'd say that this is a solid 3-star experience, based upon the price we paid for 5 nights all-inclusive. We would be happy to return, and have already started to discuss this, for the end of '23.

Room was very clean and big! We had everything we need for our holidays! 14 days in this hotel was just great! Very good stuff, good all inclusive food! Even for me who eat vegan, you can find good variety! Pool is always full, so you have to stay up early to get your place. But I was more on the beach. No internet in the rooms, but that was not so bad, just had a better holiday without my phone. But you can get internet in the lobby. There is a small shop in the hotel. But when you go out on the right side of the hotel, you can find small shops, Douglas, and a Pharmacy. On the left side, just 700 m away is a big Spar store, where you can buy everything you need. Safe in the room must be paid on the reception. The beach is sandy and nice. If you like waves it will be great for you.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, at best 3 stars. I recommend to focus on the price - if the price is very attractive, it's worth it. Otherwise, you run the risk of being very disappointed.

Decent hotel with good location, no roaches. Dont go full or halfboard here food was BAD but bed and breakfast recommended as breakfast was very good! Rooms clean not far to go partying and that brings back issues with other guest’s. When we stayed there was some Irish girls staying next door! fights every night! Drunk to death, hotel security HOPELESS!!! 3 days of the same problems and they finally had to call the police. A lot of talk but 0 action so if you like that sort of party and annoying others then yes hotel will do nothing about it! But over all i say it was a good stay and would come back.

Beautiful place, nice location, clean rooms always fresh towels, rooms cleaned daily. The only bad point is that some of the parents with their ?kids? needs to learn to behave. Disgusting, uncomfi situations at dinner an d lunch where kids scraping and eating ice cream off of the floor and their mother just does not give a s#%^%%^t . This kind of people should not be at a place like SBH Monica !

The location of the hotel is really nice, there is access to the beach directly from your room. There are car rentals, shops, and a pharmacy near the hotel, some scooters for rent and all in one the area is really nice for exploring. The hotel area is big and clean everywhere. The staff are nice and helpful. The only bad things were that there was no music at the pool in the evening, and also the food was very repetitive which is a big minus sadly.

Fabulous hotel, great food, great entertainment, plenty of alcohol. Honestly, we wanted a fully relaxed week of doing NOTHING and that is exactly what we did. Plenty of sun beds through out the day bye the pools. Activities offered, the entertainment staff really went above and beyond. The evening entertainment changes, and recommend getting in early to get a chair. It does get warm in there too. We visited the free restaurant in the hotel next door, you have to book in advance and it was so so so nice, not to have that buffet style one evening. However the food was spot on, plenty of opitions. Take your own towels. Don't bother with the posh sunbeds, we was really looking forward to having a day looking at the sun, and we had to leave it was SO hot, and no shade. Although comfy. Loungers on the beach at the foot of the hotel are not free 🤣 just be aware. We would happily visit again.

Variety and taste of meals was quite poor. I was expecting something more from that hotel. Drinks served mostly taste just bad. Biggest con- cockroaches easy to found in room.

Nice modern resort by the sea. Good food. Good service. Very clean and cosy with nice decorated rooms. I regret that the wifi is not free outside the lobby and that the diner starts at 6pm and ends at 9pm, like in Germany...

Sea view rooms are recommended with some amazing views. From the restaurant staff to reception, bar staff to entertainment, all members of staff are very helpful. Improvements to the games room are a must and the water slides could also do with a little more "oomph" to them, as adults and children alike can come to a standstill at various points. The restaurant, whilst catering for a little allergies/intolerances could do better at labeling and ensuring that there is no cross contamination. Aside from that, the food is very good, with a varied selection to choose from. The on-site cats (homeless felines) roam (sleep) around the complex and are looked after by a German charity. They are a slight entertainment for children and unless suffering with a cat allergy, are looked upon affectionately by guests.

Mixed feelings about this resort. We loved the animation team, the pools and easy access to beaches, shops, etc. The accommodation was comfortable. The food was fine, the buffet changed a bit every day and there were plenty of options. However, the food and drinks quality wasn't amazing. The spirits are all watered down, the fruits juices as well. While some staff were amazing, others were not very friendly (especially at the bar). We had a good time all in all, it's lovely for a few days away but don't expect royal treatment.

I am there right now and it's absolutely lovely. Sure some things could be improved, but you get what you pay for, this is a budget friendly hotel and in my opinion the value for money is great. We have a cheap room, yet it's really big and with a very big terrace as well. Clean, and you have everything you need, including bath tub and fridge. There is always people at the main desk/lobby, maybe they are a bit under staffed there. We paid 25 euros for 7 days wifi in the bedroom, worth it but I think only certain rooms are close enough to have a sufficient signal. I advise to bring your own beach towels. Food is ok, it's not the best quality, but there's enough for every taste. Entertainment is ok, my husband went to archery, they had one bow and one target for 20 people, so there was more waiting than enjoying. In the evening they propose a show but basically if you want a chair you need to show up 90 minutes beforehand, which is nuts. Beach is beautiful and just steps away.
