My family went to the Outback in El Cajon and my son-in-law had his service dog with him and they were very accommodating. Very nice, polite and gave us everything we needed. We all had their French onion soup 🍲, because it was a drizzly day and on the cool side. It was very delicious. Their homemade brown bread is out of this world. My daughter and I could not get enough! Low key atmosphere and comfortable. I will definitely be going back.

Wow, wow, wow, what can I say. It's been a few years since my wife and I went to Outback Steakhouse. But we had a few gift cards and decided to go today for lunch. We were greeted and seated. Our server Winter, was absolutely the BEST! So polite and friendly she was! Her pleasant smile and attitude was so contagious and well, she basically set the mood for a very happy dining experience! The Seared Ahi apps, Salmon, and Bloomin Burger were absolutely delicious! Fresh, vibrant, and beautiful! The Chef's did a wonderful job in presentation, and everything was prepared and cooked to perfection! And can I mention Winter again? Just so nice and attentive to anything we needed or asked for. It seems sometimes, it's rare to find a person that's happy and has a terrific attitude. Well, Winter had both! Just wanted to recognize her and say thank you, Outback, for an excellent dining experience! 😀 Just one thing that we found and I would like to mention and categorize this as constructive advice. You might want to laminate or make your menus plastic, as our menus were showing a bit wear and tear on them. The other thing is that every once In a while, we would get a wiff of an unpleasant smell. Not quite sure what that was all about? We also smelled this when we first entered the restaurant. Other than that, just a wonderful dining experience!!!

Came in with the fam for dinner … I had an overall good experience.. the reason why it wasn’t great was due to the hostess upfront.. I walked in and was not acknowledged at all there was no welcome in ..nothing … there was about 4 hostess just standing there talking between themselves… along with that it took about 4 minutes for them to even look at me didn’t ask anything I had to let them know like hi I’m here … I work in the restaurant business and know that first impression matter :.: and hostess they need to step it up a little.

Dinner here tonight was a major disappointment. I ordered some salad that had steak on it and they brought the wrong one out. That's no problem but the replacement salad they gave me was starting to brown and the steak was 50% sinew. I brought this up with the waiter and he went back to talk to someone and just came back with the check. My wife's chicken sandwich was also beyond basic, but at least edible. Oh well, won't be coming back here. Good service and a clean restaurant though. Food just wasn't worth it.

Food was mediocre. Service was okay, before I could get my complete order out the waitress had already left the table. I felt rushed. The blooming onion was good but spicy. The ribs were good but do not travel well. The fries were crispy and good, but you have to ask for doing sauce when it should come with it.

Really was looking forward to a good steak. It just wasn't very good. My first attempt at a dish was horrid. It was the filet Sheila. I asked for medium rare and got a well-done hockey puck. The asparagus was bitter and woody. We each added onion petals as a side. The major shock is that they don't show or explain portion size anywhere, and it's HUGE. We ended up pealing off most of the breading of the onion petals. At least the onions had nice flavor. The waitress was not at all helpful with ordering. I wanted the filet, and she talked me into the Sheila disaster. They replaced it with a rib-eye. Usually, the fat equals flavor but not here. The trim was horrible on the steak. It was full of gristle and giant lumps of fat. Sadly, even the seasoning wasn't very good. All around, it was a waste of time and money. Surprisingly, we found that we can get a much better and more tender rib eye at a seafood restaurant! Outback? No, thank you!

If you want a place to go in San Diego for a great Steak Outback Steakhouse is the way to go. They have many different options but I lean to the steaks. Clean fast personable and great food and drink's. You still walk out with dough in your wallet, and your gullet. Can't wait for my next sitting.

Service was awesome. He was also the bartender and made me 2 different delicious drinks. The bread... yummies!! Take some home! The salad was so fresh and I love the onion and little tomatoes on it.

Had a Sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection with a baked potato fully loaded! Definitely a Blooming onion to start, which was huge, hot, and delicious! Yummy! Service was great. Highly recommended in the late afternoon when we were there for an early dinner.

Nicole is my favorite bartender! I don't usually like cocktails but the Blueberry Lemonade she made me was amazing. She knows all the Happy Hour deals and even recommended a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. We had a great time!

I had the center cut cooked medium. They did a good job with my steak level. I got blooming petals on the side. Very salty and lots of breading. The side salad had a lot of dressing so I would ask for it on the side next time. The bread was good. They were kind enough to take back my onion petals in exchange for another side.

We called ahead to get on the wait list. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and professional young gentleman who knew his job well. We were seated within about 10-15 minutes of our arrival. We were initially seated near the kitchen, but eventually had to move as we got annoyed by the servers constantly blurting out, "ORDER!" as they were either entering or exiting the kitchen entry area. I guess this was to either tell staff a new order was arriving or completed. Either way, it was super annoying so we changed our table to one on the other side of the restaurant. I ordered a sirloin steak and ordered it medium rare. Although when I received it I noticed the portion of meat was a very thin cut for the price I paid, it was cooked medium rare as ordered and it was tasty. I pared it with a wedge salad and some potato soup. The wedge salad was good, but the soup was watered down a bit. Our server, Stefan, was very friendly and attentive as he came back to our table regularly to check on us. With all being said, this particular restaurant's location is a bit out of our way, but we'll probably return there again if we're in the area.

Good service. LOUD music... eventually they turned it down. Good food. If you get Blake for your server, you are in for a real treat.

A nice place to take the family for dinner. The wait time past the reservation time was about ten minutes, but once seated things went well. The wait staff were attentive and friendly and service was very good. The food was prepared well and the steaks tasted quite good. The prices are reasonable and this restaurant has my recommendation!

This place has excellent food. My steak and chicken were cooked to perfection and exactly how I asked them to be. The drinks were tasty and they had a few that I hadn't tried or even thought of. It was a fun, friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the staff took good care of our party. I had a great time there.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here on a date night because they just reopened. Worst decision ever. Our waitresses sucked. She forgot about our drinks and never brought us our bread. She later forgot to take our orders for our entrees. We ordered a bloomin onion and it took awhile to come out and came out very cold. We finally were able to order our actual food and that took about 45min to come out. We both understood that it was very busy so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Once our food came out my food came out extremely cold and they served my boyfriend a raw steak. Overall our experience was terrible. Texas Roadhouse will always be better. Less expensive, food comes out hot, drinks are better, and the waiters actually pay attention to the guests. Overall don’t recommend.

Always good food and fast, friendly service. Easy to locate off of Jamacha. Although, I know we don't eat off the floor, but the floor does STILL need to be professionally cleaned, it's very sticky & the only reason I rated it 4*. Four months ago, the floors badly needed cleaning or re-surfacing & I rated it a 4*. Happy to say they've replaced the flooring! So I've changed my rating to a 5*. Good job!!

Great experience-it was too long wait time for dine-in (Valentine'sDay Dinner) so we ordered take out, we ordered right at time we walked in,- everything was so well organized and ut was very busy time; food was ready for the time we were told it will be ready and most importantly everything tasted really good, fresh and well prepared!

Food was great, but our server was not very attentive nor checking to ensure food was complete. A busser kindly brought us items we needed & was very helpful! As someone who works in the restaurant business for years, I am a little more critical based on my own expertise!

This is more about the website and Google Maps, The Outback Steakhouse website says the El Cajon location is closed 7 days a week. Also Google Maps says it is temporarily closed. I have been to Outback Steakhouses elsewhere, and had very pleasant experiences, but I have not been to this one yet as I thought it was closed for business. However based on the reviews I have read I will likely never go.

My bf and I come here maybe every 3 or 4 months and usually my food is pretty good. However, this time, on a Friday night, my steak was overcooked from how I ordered it and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a box. The rest of the food was delicious though so take from that what you will.

Michael, our server and the Blooming Onion was the ABSOLUTE best about my experience. HIGHLY recommend requesting being seated in his area. Was there for a birthday celebration and he was attentive and expeditiously responded to our requests with awesome Customer service. However, I'll NEVER go back to this Outback location. NOTHING about my BBQ Mixed Grill dinner tasted good. It was either over cooked or dry. Including the baked potato. EXTREMELY disappointed as it's been YEARS since I've eaten at an Outback.

Good food. Ordered steak cooked medium, came out super well done. Slow service. Mens restroom smells like sewage. * they took the steak back and brought out an amazing steak, cooked just right.
