You should see it when you visit the island. Impressive stone landscape with many small hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty. When visiting the nature reserve, it is important to treat nature with respect. Please stay on the paths and leave everything in its place so that it remains beautiful. There are enough garbage boxes in every parking lot, but I still picked up a lot while hiking. Unfortunately, there are many cigarette butts in every parking lot. Dear smokers, please get a hand ashtray, thank you.

The Valley of Obsidian. If you want to find a piece, you are guaranteed to find it here. Dragon glass aka obsidian is said to bring good luck to whoever finds it. There are many ways to find one here. Some appear in beautiful colors due to the inclusion of metals and minerals. A hiking trail begins at the parking lot and winds along the road for quite a long time. It is not advisable to walk to your car afterwards, the road is too dangerous. Instead, you start running and run to the end to take the same route back. Alternatively, you can always turn around every now and then. Difficulty is okay (easy to medium), but you should definitely wear sturdy shoes.

Stunning views near the Teide, a must stop. If you are lucky you can meet fellow countrymen as well.

Truly the Moon on Earth. We went here as part of our guided tour and had just enough time to take enough of this place in and take some pictures. You have a good view on the ancient lava streams from the many volcanoes in this area as well, so make sure to spot the different colourings in the landscape as well.

Fantastic place. Climate like on Mars. I recommend it to those who want to get lost in time and space.

As part of our rental car tour to the Teide, we stopped at this viewpoint. From here you can impressively see the stone desert and have a good view of the Teide including the cable car there. The valley station is not far away. Information boards at the parking lot provide information about the local vegetation. Definitely worth a stop.

The parking situation was good, but that was probably also due to the fact that 80% of the people can't read and instead of standing in the tourist parking spaces, they stood on the buses. Nice climbing experience and you have the opportunity to hike a little. Very cool

Base of Mount Tiede and lava fields abound. One of the many stops on the main road past the Mountain .

Beautiful places, it's worth traveling, a lot of people but they still leave a place for parking, it's 10 degrees lower than at the beach.

Spare parking if there are no places at the entrance to the trail (1km on east). Do not leave anything valuable in the car.

It is quite impressive, the relief shaped by the vulcan, about 150 thousand years ago, when the human kind was at it's dawn.
