Backpackers beware! If you’re looking for atmosphere, comfort, reliable internet and/or kind staff, move on. This hostel wins the cake of worst in Latin America. Unbelievably rude staff who had earplugs in, listening to music while checking us in. No, “hey welcome”, no “ah! Where are you guys from?”, just “passports required for check-in”. The beds are uneven, and horribly uncomfortable. The creme de lá creme is that you’re required to sign a contract before checking in, which included fantastic lines such as: horribly steep charges for small items including leaving a window open or hanging clothing, excess of 600 MXN pesos for people who express “behaviour deemed unfitting of the hostel” (whatever that means), 200 MXN peso deposit for towel and key (considering other hostels charge 30-50 pesos, this is a bit ridiculous) PLUS a 72 hour cancellation policy which allows the hostel to charge the full amount of a room if canceled within the window! Hostel itself looks great and washrooms were clean, but prepare for poor atmosphere and incredibly horrible wifi which isn’t available in the dorms. What’s worse is that the management seems to make the same comments on all negative reviews both here and in hostelworld saying that they’ll “do their best to be better” or that they “suggest private rooms instead”. Having stayed in hundreds of hostels through the years I’ve never met more rude staff, or poor/pretentious atmosphere. Pass on this place

Pros One of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. Lovely staff. Comfortable beds. Great location, lots of little cafes around. Very clean. Cons WiFi was good while it lasts but keeps dropping all the time so this was an annoyance.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a blast. The tours with Ernie were great; definitely make time to do at least one! We also really enjoyed the karaoke night that we attended. Overall a super fun and inviting vibe here; highly recommended!

Great hostel in Puebla with a very good location ! The activities offered are great as well. Thank to one volunteer Andres we had a great sunset evening tour to walk and see the sunset over Puebla City. We learned about the local food with him and even about how to dance ! Great dancer btw. Hostel highly recommended :)

Affordable, clean and great location. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. They have a full week of activities to keep you busy if you so choose. Would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here in a private room two nights when we were in Puebla. Private rooms are more like a hotel. It’s a great hostel with a fantastic location so close to the Zocalo and really good activities for those staying. Staff were friendly also. Only downfalls we’re the WiFi not working most of the time and the noise travels a bit from downstairs.

I only stayed here for 1 night but it was great. The staff all speak English and are friendly and very helpful. The female dorm room (215 pesos for 1 night) was comfortable with beds that have curtains, air con, lockers, 2 showers and 1 toilet. My only complaint with the showers is there is no where to put your stuff in there except the floor. It would have been nice to have a shelf or something to place your soap and shampoo. They let me store my bags for the day as I wasn’t leaving Puebla until later on the day I checked out. They have a nice, clean and fully stocked kitchen to use. Breakfast is offered for an additional price. The location is great.

Wonderful room. A big, comfortable bed (a bit hard) with lots of pillows and a nice cover. Good AC. Good storage. Nice TV and good Wifi. Big bathroom, nice shower. The price was great! The hostel is close to the center with restaurants and bars close by. Would definitely recommend!

One of the best hostel experienced ever! Amazing location, awesome activities and tours arranged by the hostel and most of all such kind and helpful staff. Ally was a very welcoming and knowledgeable guide on the tours. The whole hostel was so clean and beautifully maintained, especially the room we were staying in (I think beds 124 and 123), special thanks to Lili for this! ❤️

We stayed in a private room and had two double beds. Great big walk in shower. Had a little issue with our A/C but that was fixed straight away! We done the free walking tour to Cholula and the Food tour that the hostel organised which were both great fun. The staff are very friendly and welcoming 😁 definitely worth staying at when in Puebla!

The hostel looked very modern with a Mexican aesthetic. They provided free drinking water and towels after you gave a deposit of 200 mxn in cash which was great. However, the only negative thing I’d have to say about the room was that it was a really hot room and there was no air con.

Very lovely hostel, nice stuff and good food. Even when party or music, in the dorms is silent. Good air, very very clean! You have curtains in the dorms, get a towel and there is enough soap and good toilet paper. The breakfast is yummy. Very central and safe neighborhood. They offer very cool tours and it’s definitely the best hostel I ever stayed! <3

A really lovely hostel.. perfectly located in a lovely minutes from the Central plaza. Clean, lovelt social spaces with tons of daily activities where you can meet other solo travellers. It was my first time in a hostel and I think I picked a really great one.

We found this hotel on Google and thought it would be a good place to stay. Unfortunately this hotel fell short in many ways, in my review I'll try to be quick with my complaints. The rooms were my biggest disappointment. The showers do not work properly, the water is either freezing cold or burning hot, this makes it difficult when trying to bath your kids. The beds and pillows are terrible, I didn't get any good sleep all the nights we were there. In addition to that, this shows on Google as a 4 star hotel. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. At best it would be a 3star hotel, this is me being generous. They claim to be an eco friendly hotel but I think its more of an excuse to not provide basic necessities like water bottles and other items that a 4 star hotel would provide. There is no elevator so having to walk all the way downstairs to use the 1 water dispenser is very inconvenient and honestly a little tiring. Plus it's a water dispenser that anyone can use or tamper with. The food was average but I wouldn't say great and 1 of the days that we ate there I felt like 1 of the ladies had an attitude towards us. Maybe it was because I had complaint about some of these issues so she maybe took it personal. The service in general wasn't bad because most of the people there are friendly and helpful. I don't want to only list my complaints, I'm trying to be fair. Overall I would not stay here again because we paid about $120 dollars per night and it is honestly not worth it. We decided to go across the street to cartesiano and got a room for about $190 dollars per night. It Is honestly night and day difference when it comes to all aspects. I recommend spending a few extra dollars because the overall experience will be worth it. There are also other hotels I saw that were about $60 per night which is about half of what we paid that would be similar to this hotel if money is something that you're trying to save.

We had a great time, the hostel was clean and well ran. The atmosphere was top notch and gave a great welcome to us while staying in Puebla. They had more activities provided on site for anything you are looking for.

Great hostel! I stayed in a private room for 2 nights, everything was great. The staff Susana, Alejandra and Julian were very friendly and caring. The hostel offers a wide range of cultural activities, highly recommended!

Perfect locations in the beautiful town of Puebla. They've got something for you to do every day and night of the week (Julian gave us a great walking tour of town to start). Highly suggest going to the downstairs bar at night which is social and allows you to meet some of the other guests and staff. Pretty clear this is the top spot to stay in town.

+A relatively new hostel in a great location. It was always very clean during our stay (3 nights). There is also a kitchen that you can use. -Unfortunately there is no real lounge area, just a work area with tables. The tours offered by the hostel are very overpriced, it's cheaper to book them yourself (the free Cholula tour was good in terms of content, but the guide made a moody impression). The beds are very small (from 1.75 you can no longer stretch out in them). You couldn't lock the door in the bathroom.

The hotel has a great atmosphere and is super conveniently located (near the center and direct line to the big bus station). The staff is amazing and everyday they organize walking tours, hikes, workshops and more. Every night there's happy hour where you can try their pulques and enjoy fun activities to meet other guests. I've been back for three times by now and will definetly come back during my next visit to Puebla.

I had a great time at this hostel! They have a female-only dorm, which I prefer. Everyone in my room was extremely social & we hung out everyday. My room was on the first floor and the common area was right outside my door, but I never heard any outside noise while in the room. The hostel was centrally located and the staff was friendly. Everyday, there is an hostel-sponsored activity for the guests. Some activities are free and some tours you need to pay for. We definitely stay again!

Excellent location and you can't beat the price as it includes a full delicious breakfast. Have stayed there twice and would stay there again.

Location, building and service are excellent. Breakfast is good. Despite beside a main road, room glass blocks noise. One issue I had with the room is that it doesn’t air well - dry air which got to me after a night’s sleep.

We stayed here four nights and loved it. The room was clean and nice sized. The shower had great pressure and was always hot. The staff in both the hotel and restaurant were very kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were wonderful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location can not be beat. It’s is close the the markets and Zócalo. Loved it.

Great price in a perfect location. Right in the center of the city. Free breakfast until 12pm. Check out is at 1pm. 5 minute walk to the Zocalo. Cute, clean rooms with comfy beds and large showers. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Close to many other restaurants, bars and historic centers. 👍

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in Mexico. Very clean and set up well. Staff are helpful and friendly. I stayed in a mixed dorm, nearly full, and it was very quiet! Super affordable under 300 pesos. I just stayed one night, but it would be a nice place to stay for several nights, as they have a lot of tours and activities to help you explore Puebla. Definitely a top-tier hostel!

This is one of the best hostel I ever stayed in. The rooms were super clean , thw stuff very friendly and the location is just perfect. I highly recommend the walking tour with Ernesto, it allows you to understand the history of the magical city of Puebla, if you have time go for the food tour to Cholula as well..very worth it !

Totally recommend it! It's a bang for the buck. The only complain I have about Casa Pepe Puebla is that they don't have a kitchen.

Great place to stay at for your visit to Puebla. It’s super clean and tidy. Security all night and a breakfast included for very cheap price. The best part about it is the location and proximity to Sapos and Zocalo. Parking is included too. Very safe for motorcycles.

Such a nice hostel and with a great atmosphere. The volunteers were really good at making people feel welcome and with fun and interesting activities such as walking tours and music and fun in the bar.

The staff does their best to make you feel at home. From the check in process to the breakfast service and power hours, everything was exceptional. The dorms are modern, confortable and spacious, they have one bathroom and shower in them, but there are more available in the common areas. The location it's also great for visiting the historical region of Puebla.
