What a fantastic place to stay! Right in the historic centre of La Rochelle, close to the amazing market. The house itself is beautiful, full of art works and at the time of our visit in June 2022 it hosted an exhibition by a local artist. Our room was perfect, comfortable and well equipped,and opening up into a magical garden. We were made incredibly welcome by Léa and Bertrand. The breakfasts were magnificent, cheese and ham, eggs, fresh bread and croissants. We had not visited La Rochelle before, but we have determined to visit annually, we liked it so much. We will return and certainly to Eden Ouest, no better place!

Great location and room. Go for the purple room which has a private Hamman and is less warm than the others (worth when no air conditioning). Isa, the host, is very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay…

Fantastic option if you are staying in La Rochelle ! I could not recommend better , especially if you are a large group like we were (20+). The staff is the best and soooo accommodating. The rooms are really amazing and recently renovated. Sparking clean and comfortable. We will for sure try to book it again if we come back. The location was also very convenient with free parking nearby, very safe neighbourhood, and very easy to walk the whole city from there.

We stayed one night in the red chamber with our 3 year old and a newborn baby. The room setup was perfect for our family! Our oldest daughter could sleep in her own compartiment. We liked the location of the b&b, breakfast, the very nice interior and the bathroom! The big bad was a real nice treat after a long day! Everything was super cleand and the host was very friendly and helpful!

What a fantastic place to stay. A beautiful home filled with the owners and her friends own art which makes it a very special place to stay. Our welcome was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and what can I say about the breakfast! Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, home made yogurt, croissants and bread from the local organic bakery, the green tea served in a beautiful tea pot, just perfect. The suite was perfect a beautiful bathroom and again art work to feast your eyes on. I could not recommend Eden Ouest highly enough, no where better have we stayed in La Rochelle and a special mention to the lady who hosted us, prepared the amazing breakfast and answered all our questions, thank you for making our stay so special.

Amazing bed and breakfast. Great and warm reception when we arrived. We stayed in the Rouge room, which was very chic and very well styled and decorated. Also it had an amazing bathroom with a great haman (steam room) and a giant wooden bath. Would go back soon just for the room

Eden Ouest was better than I could have imagined! Truly one of the best accommodations I have stayed in & I will definitely be going back! My boyfriend and I only stayed there for 2 nights and were even thinking of extending! We stayed in the yellow room. La Rochelle was cold end of February so it was lovely to come home to a nice warm and cozy B&B. The location is beyond perfect. The Saturday and Sunday markets were just down the street. We had a spa day with the in room Hammam steam room and I got to relax in an amazing wooden bathtub for both nights. The bathrobes were a bit scratchy but they are thick so it was nice and warm. The breakfast was also outstanding! A long table where breakfast is set up family sale so you get to dine with other guests. We got: Fresh squeezed OJ, French press coffee or tea. Homemade yogurt, jam, and fresh fruit mix. and how could you forget fresh baguette & croissants! I was truly in heaven!! Oh & if you are a dog lover: The owners have an adorable Cocker Spaniel named Itak. He doesn’t go into the rooms and is very very sweet!

It is a bit of a challenge to rate our stay. This was our second time at this establishment, and the first time, it was outstanding. This time...not so much. We checked into our room which hadn't been aired out in advance on a very hot day after quite a rigmarole to park. The fan wasn't working, so the host quickly got us another. Later we discovered the fridge wasn't working and then, the hammam kept tripping the electrics and wouldn't start (the main reason for choosing this place over others). Other little things like a broken water filter and old water left in the kettle made me think the place was definitely slipping, which is sad. After complaining, we were thankfully moved to another room which was very appreciated. But what if no room had been available? It would have been a fairly miserable stay, and believe me, we would not have paid full price. Plus, after unpacking and trying to unwind, it sucks to have to repack and move. I hope they can get it together. We went back this year because we had enjoyed it so much the first time. Two years can change a lot! Something I'll keep in mind when reading reviews in the future.

The room, especially the bath room, with a two person beautiful wooden tub, a steam room/shower large sleeping/living area, with lovely decor and small balcony were absolutely wonderful. The hotel is very underwhelming from the front with an equally underwhelming the entry, but once you get to the room (no elevator so beware), oh the room makes up for everything. Trust me, it is much better to underwhelmed by the outside and the entry and overwhelmed by the room (and balcony) than the other way around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic place. Super relaxing hammam and bath. No lift however. Interesting artwork. Great for couples. Not really for families I would say.
