A great day out and lots of history of this part of Spain. We were guided around by one of the Amigos who work on restoring the exhibits. Lots to see, would recommend if in the area.

Unexpected gem found in Cartagena! The building dates back to 1786 and hosts an amazing selection of cannons, tanks and anti-aircraft guns, all in nearly mint condition. There you can also find a collection of hand and machine guns, uniforms and huge miniatures hall. And the entrance is free! Just a few highlights. 1. Soviet T-26 light tank. These were sold to Spanish republicans during the Spanish Civil War: Cartagena was the port they arrived at. 2. German StuG III - WWII fully tracked assault gun, one of the most-produced armored combat vehicles. 3. Radio controlled drone target to train fighter pilots (this is the only museum I saw something like that.) Don't miss!

Magnificent, loads of big guns, and examples of their shells. Upstairs there is the largest collection of models of military vehicles, all hand made by the same person, I know that because The Guinness World Records say it is. They are currently rebuilding a T26, back to working order, a labour of love.
