Just
before
Memorial
Day
weekend
2022,
our
first
Zion
exploration.
Sparkling
clean
room,
efficient
air
conditioning,
quiet
sleeping,
secret
hiding
place
within
Hurricane,
Utah.
We
don’t
need
conciege
service,
5-star
restaurants,
etc….we
want
a
clean
nice
place
and
this
is
perfect
for
a
small
family
or
group
of
4
adults.
Access
to
Zion
is
easy:
Utah
Highway
9
is
up
main
street
and
Zion
NP
Visitor
Center
is
<
30
minutes
away
at
0600…we
chose
to
leave
early
as
the
morning
rush
fills
the
parking
lot
by
0900.
Each
morning
we
had
the
lot
to
ourselves,
hundreds
of
parking
places.
The
Hurricane
Hideaway
is
also
convenient
to
Kolob
Terrace
Road
with
is
more
local
geology
with
meadows
and
and
the
large
reservoir.
It’s
20
miles
or
so;
however,
the
beauty
is
indescribable….from
Utah
lowland
desert
to
ponderosa
pine
forest
interlaced
with
riparian
habitat
and
meadows….from
the
Lava
Point
Overlook,
one
can
see
&
identify
the
taller
mountains
in
Zion
Natiional
Park….the
road
is
gravel
from
the
Kolob
Terrace
Road
but
maintained
well.
Kerry,
one
of
the
realator
owners
of
Hurricane
Hideaway
recommended
this
drive
which
is
outstanding.
Zach
&
Kerry
own/manage
this
location
and
both
did
a
wonderful
job....never
met
them,
room
codes
sent
to
me.
The
cleaning
staff
more
than
helpful..
Hurricane
is
a
little
American
West
community....people
are
friendly,
perfect
location
to
explore
Zion
and
surrounding
area.
We
came
in
from
the
East
into
Zion
on
Utah
9.
Actually
loved
the
long
tunnel
went
through
it
3
times....Great
time,
perfect
little
spot.
Easy
5
stars.
