This place is fantastic. Breakfast is home cooked and delicious, one meal we had included blueberry bread, baked peaches, a frittata, orange juice, and french pressed coffee. If you want a private breakfast in your room, that option is available. My fiance and I have done a public and private option in the past, and both are great. We did private this time so we could sleep in and enjoy. The rooms are so nice and well kept. We did the Missouri River suite and one of my favorite parts was being able to take a relaxing jacuzzi bath. But the public areas can't be ignored. Jason and Kathy have created the perfect porch getaway with reading nooks for the mornings and firepits for the evenings. They even have wine available for purchase if you want to just relax in your room without needing to leave. The service is fantastic. Kathy was able to customize our meal so my fiance's egg allergy was accommodated. And when my dress clasp broke, she got me safety pins and helped me fix it. The inn is located in a cozy town, walking distance from several great restaurants including pizza, italian food, and an upscale french cafe. The only inconvenience is driving to KC is about 20-30 minutes, but as far as inconveniences go, it's minor. And to be honest, not having the crazy rush of the city in the morning or the evening is perfect if you're looking to relax. There's walking trails in the town too so you could really spend a whole weekend without even getting in your car if you wanted to. Basically, I wish I could give this inn more stars. We're planning on staying here as often as we can, and we left feeling more relaxed than when we came in!

Kathy was the best innkeeper we have ever had. The Main Street was a beautiful and accommodating inn with the best breakfast you could ask for. The only issue we had was it was not handicapped accessible. We managed though and had the time of our lives. We couldn't have asked for anything better to celebrate our anniversary! Thanks Kathy...we'll be back.

My wife and I have stayed at a lot of Bed and Breakfasts in the past. This one is unique because of a thoughtful touch. French pressed coffee and a muffin for each delivered to the room for the first course of breakfast. This was served earlier than breakfast, and we really enjoyed that aspect. The Parkville area is nice and close to other shopping opportunities as well.

We had an amazing time at the Main Street Inn! My wife has dietary restrictions and Kathy made a wonderful breakfast that we both really enjoyed! We’ll definitely book again for our next staycation.

Clean, good place to lay your head down at night and get ready to explore Galena the next day. The free water and snacks were appreciated. Also we found sending text messages worked really well. The response was quick. The location is fantastic!

We stayed in the Colonel Park room and it was amazing. Our two night stay was relaxing and fun. Our room had everything we needed. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful! We enjoyed the front porch and the evening by the firepit. Our hosts were welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. We love Kathy and Jason and plan to come back in the future. We loved being able to walk into town. It was a few short blocks away. We enjoyed the restaurants, pubs, shopping and wine bar in downtown Parkville. Can't wait to return!

We stayed in the Missouri River Suite, which was stunning. On our first morning, we were so enamored with the in-room breakfast course that we missed out on the other two courses that Kathy had prepared downstairs. Luckily, we didn't make the same mistake on the second day, and the full breakfast was incredible. We felt very well taken care of but also enjoyed the quiet and privacy that is hard to find in the city. I highly recommend the Main Street Inn, and hope we can stay again sometime soon.

Kathy and her husband were wonderful hosts. There was a lot of attention to detail that I noticed. Our room was extremely clean and well thought out. The ambience on their front porch at night was very elegant with the fire pits and lighting. They’ve put much work into their business and it truly shows. I especially enjoyed the little emphasis for the Parkville businesses. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We’ve already recommended it to others.

We were very impressed with our room, the Missouri River Suite. Breakfast was excellent and kept us full for the majority of the day. The ambience is established before you enter the home with music playing on the stairs up to the house, in the hallway and refreshment area. The small touches do not go unnoticed. Chocolates on our pillows, body spray and soap made locally, and (my personal favorite) the library featuring several collections of Calvin and Hobbs. We will be back and are anticipating our next adventure here.

My wife and I are local and wanted a short get away before the holidays. Main Street Inn was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet setting, a very comfortable room, walking distance to great local shops and places to eat. The period furniture, art, and history made for a one of a kind experience. Kathy was incredible and prepared a delicious breakfast. Will definitely return.

I spent over a year coordinating a 2-week road trip in and around the area, so it was important that my last night of my trip be something special. I'd like to give myself a well deserved pat on the back for finding such a place. The setting of the house is simply gorgeous and features one of the most beautiful wrap around porches I have ever seen. And yes, while the Inn is certainly beautiful and worthy of all the 5 star reviews it has received, it is really the hostess Kathy that curates the experience into a true work of art. I enjoyed chatting with Kathy and felt, even as a solo traveler, that I was leaving a good friend by the time that I checked out. Thank you for being the exclamation point to my once in a lifetime roadtrip!

I’ve had my eye on this Bed & Breakfast for a few years and am so happy I decided to reserve a stay here. I plan to visit again soon to relax, unwind and enjoy the wonderful hospitality and food offered. Kudos to Kathy and Jason for providing such a wonderful experience.

My husband and I really enjoyed our two-night stay at Main Street Inn! Our room was gorgeous and incredibly clean. Breakfast was delicious! We really enjoyed chatting with Kathy. She was so friendly and kind. She and Jason have thought of everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing getaway. We will definitely return!

The Main Street Inn is fantastic. My wife and I spent three nights in the Missouri River Suite and loved every minute. The attention to detail, the decoration choices, the soaps and scents are all second to none. Kathy and Jason run an amazing B&B. If you stay the night here, we would highly recommend checking out Wines by Jennifer and then having dinner at Cafe de Amis, all within walking distance. Again, great experience and we plan on returning in the future.

The room was good. The breakfast was good. Every time we started to walk downstairs, Kathy immediately come out. We stayed for 2 nights and when we left for a couple of hours, Kathy had gone into out room and made our bed. We didn't ask for this and didn't expect it. We felt like our privacy was invaded. We have stayed in other Bed and Breakfast and this is not the standard. I understand that their personal residence is downstairs, but they had cameras and it felt like we were being watched every step we took. Hope they don't have cameras in the guest rooms, but it made us feel very uncomfortable. When we got ready to check out, my wife showed me what look like 2 bugs under the bed. I took a picture and showed Kathy and within about 5 minutes of us leaving, she texted me a picture of her hand holding what she said was sunflower seeds. It wasn't sunflower seeds in her hand, it was almonds. Irregardless, whether it was bugs or food under the bed, it was apparent that it wasn't vacuumed. Who knows how long they were under the bed.

The hubs and I had a little romantic weekend getaway at The Main Street Inn. We ordered the charcuterie box and chocolate covered strawberries. Both worth it! Kathy and Jason are very kind and hospitable. You can see the joy on Kathy’s face with each interaction. She truly loves what she does. The attention to detail is superb. The breakfast scrumptious. The beds comfy. The atmosphere welcoming and homey. If you’re looking for a quick escape from Omaha or the KC area, I recommend the Main Street Inn 💯. The town of Parkville also has some great offerings. Cute shops, a good Irish pub and an amazing French Restaurant. We will be back!

Husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary, the rooms are unique and beautiful, good location to walk just a block or so to the restaurants nearby. And wonderful service, complimentary snacks available next to the rooms, and drinks. Along with Amazing French pressed coffee in the morning and a delicious breakfast, I am pregnant so I didn’t get to enjoy my breakfast until later but it was worth it. Thank you so much for our amazing stay at the Main Street inn.❤️

We were greeted at the door and taken to our room. Soon after we were given warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies as a welcome gift. The room was clean, neat and had plenty of extra pillows, towels, blankets and flameless candles for added ambience. The jetted tub was just what we needed to relax. The robes fit well and were soft and comfortable. We had our own code for the room and front door to be able to come and go as we chose. Coffee and homemade muffins and jam were promptly at the door by 7:30am. Breakfast was in dining room at 8:30am. All of which was delicious. The guest area upstairs is so nice and thoughtful. There is wine, mini fridge, coffee bar, snacks and utensils for guest use. The attention to detail is top notch and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We stayed 2 nights, and it was the most magical stay. The breakfast was delicious and our room was comfortable, we even booked a room with a private deck, so we could sit out late or early morning with some privacy. We will definitely come back and stay again. Kathy was an amazing host.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The building is clean and cozy, with attention to small details like blankets for using out on the porch by the fire and fresh baked cookies. The hostess was welcoming and went the extra mile to discuss my dietary restrictions with me ahead of time. The breakfast was delicious! You can tell a lot of work and love goes in to making this place work well. Would highly recommend as a little get away.
