Great homemade food. Friendly service. Comfortable environment. They grow their own peppers in the back. The pictures show the garden at the end of the season, after the frost.

Ordered 2 lunch items to share. Their chicken enchilada was very dry. Thankfully enchiladas have sauce so it made it ok, but it still needed more sauce or something. Service was fine but they did not ask if we needed anything else or do a quality check in a timely manner. The restaurant was mostly empty. We had to flag the server down because we had a minor issue. With my first visit I'm not itching to go back, but it was recommended to me and I didn't order what they had recommended... So I will go back and give it another go at some point. This was close to a 3 star for my first visit, but I did eat it all so I gave it a 4. Lots of parking First bowl of chips and salsa is free. The menu says you need to pay for subsequent bowls.

Lunch date yesterday and this was the location I chose. We walked in and were seated shortly after entering, but you could tell the server was busy. From what we could see they were fairly busy around 1220 so understandable for the middle of the lunch rush. She brought our drinks and salsa a few minutes after we were seated. My hubby ordered chicken & steak fajitas while I chose the lunch Burrito supreme topped with queso instead of the original sauce. The salsa was bland but more tasteful once I added a little salt. The “spicy” queso was very good. He really enjoyed his fajitas, but I was in shock with my burrito. It was HUGE! I had enough for another full meal including beans/rice as well. Overall we were trying not to spend over $30 for lunch, but with a beer and our food it was $36 without the tip. I was surprised they didn’t offer a military discount, but leaving with 2 full meals for a little under $50 was better for the mind.

Great food for the price point. Chili pablano was smothered in their green chili sauce, it's one dish I'll get at Mexican restaurants and compare. Theirs was simple yet delicious. For an appetizer we got the burro fries and they were well seasoned and great by themselves. My wife got them smothered and she said getting them without toppings were way better. Between the 3 margaritas, I'd prefer the traditional more. But the peach and strawberry were awesome as well, especially if you want something sweeter. For 4 entrees, one appetizer, a side tamale, one tea, and 6 margaritas our bill was around $125.

I have eaten here a few times in the 10 years I have lived in the area and it's always been a good place. Yesterday my son and I had dinner and I will not be back. He ordered Huevos Rancheros and I had the Snapper Veracruz. The food was just bad. We each tried a few bites and didn't like it. I asked for the check and the waitress asked if liked the food and we simply said no and asked for the check. We didn't get mad or ask for anything to be removed from the check, we just didn't like it. A gentleman came over and asked why. I said we just didn't like it. He began to tell us that the food is good and we were wrong for not liking it. He said that the Huevos Rancheros is always made that way even when i asked about it not having a tostada. He then told me that the snapper is one of their best selling and there is nothing wrong with it. I continued to just ask for the check, not asking for any money back. The waitress provided the check, took my card, and then returned dropping it off without a word. I am not sure why they were mad that we didn't like the food. It just wasn't good for us. I hope it is for others, but my 12 year old son and I got different food and both didn't want to eat it.

An out-of-the-way gem. I was introduced to the chef/owner by a friend, at the front door. He runs a fun place. We had a nice waitress, good chips and salsa, hot and delicious food. I spoke to Shane afterwards. Very amiable. One review mentioned it had a Triple D kind of vibe, and I agree. This is not a chain version of Mexican food. Give it a try!

Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff! If you live anywhere near here and have not gone, you need to. The Chipotle queso dip is a must right off the bat! It has no right being that good!! The tamales are home made and you can taste the love! The burger patties are also made in house, so good if you have a picky eater with you! From start to finish I cannot recommend Lil Burro enough. It's always packed aside from in between meal times and its easy to see why! We went at about 2pm however i would 100% say it's worth the wait, worth the trip.

We absolutely love this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Their green chili is the best we’ve ever eaten, seriously. We love their - hmmm, actually we love everything we’ve eaten there. We always take our out of town visitors here. Every state we visit we start our quest for the best Mexican food. And this is a delightful homey Mexican restaurant. They even grow all their peppers for various dishes.

If you want authentic this is far from that. This place is a mix of American Mexican food more on the American side. No seasonings on food. Beans tasted out of a can. Rice was out of a package. 2/10 for food. 10/10 for services and waitress.

Food was excellent, service was great, only real issue is parking and they look like they are trying to handle it. I had a taco and a chili relleno and my wife had shrimp fajitas. Both were amazing. My picky kids were able to order chicken strips and a hotdog which made it pleasant to not have to fight them on what they were going to eat. The margarita pitchers were really good and pricing on everything was excellent. The manager stopped by a couple times just to check on everything and the waitress was always on top of drinks and service.

Incredible food every time. Chili rellenos are the best ever, and i have eaten them at many, many locations, typically in the southwest. I enjoy this dining experience at least once a week. I also get the enchiladas bravas in rotation with the rellenos. I have actively searched for terrific enchiladas and rellenos in Omaha area, and these are tastiest I have found. Sauce is amazing and addictive. This place gets super busy, so be prepared. Service is exceptional.

Cute lil restaurant... Seems reminiscent of an old school dinner.. The food seems more tex-mex than Mexican, and as long as the food is good, that is fine.. Only complaint right now is that our table is sticky, not a big deal, but worth mentioning.. Table salsa and chips are good.. On the menu tonight.. (as always, opinions will be filled out behind the dish name). For me.... Big red burrito with shredded beef. Touch of spice, excellent flavor, meat was tender. Tamale... moist, delicious, lots of filling.. Shredded beef soft taco.. delicious, generous portion of meat, excellent flavor.. For my wife..(her opinions) Fajitas beef/chicken... wife had me try as well.. Steak and chicken are dry, not a lot of flavor. Shredded chicken soft taco.. lots of chicken, a touch dry, but flavor is good... Wait staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is the real deal. Not that knock off Tex Mex stuff. The food and sauces and chips are very good. We live in Ohio and our son is in the Air Force so we will not be able to have it much but you better bet your Burro when we visit him this will be our first spot!

Insanely quick service. Complimentary chips and salsa almost had me full before the food came out. The food lacked a distinct flavor profile (all 3 plates we tried looked and tasted the same) but they were hearty servings and we walked away full.

I had my friend recommend this spot after helping her move some things to storage. I ordered the shredded beef chimchanga, and it's probably got the best flavor I've had at a Mexican joint in a long time, and the salsa and chips were fantastic! Not too runny on the salsa, and the chips were still warm!

This place ROCKS!! Best Mexican food for 50 miles. Ive been eating here for nealy 20 years!! I drive from Millard for their food. The family who runs it are super nice, especially the son. The British lady who's name I'm blanking on, is amazing. And the green chili is to die for!!

My husband absolutely loved his food and was very happy with what he got. He got the big red burrito and pozole and thought it was very good. I got the number 1 combo and didn't really care for any of it but it's probably just my personal taste preferences. We ordered take-out and the food was done very fast but unfortunately the food is put in Styrofoam containers which are extremely bad for the environment- they never break down, and they are extremely bad for our health. We won't be ordering take out anymore unless they switch to healthier take out containers but we will most likely eat- in at some point to try some other items off their menu.

I tried Lil Burro for the first time tonight. The food was good. I had the Chimichanga with shredded beef and rice. My meal had very good flavor and just the right amount of spice .

Great atmosphere. Very good food. Steak fajitas and Fish tacos… excellent! Victoria was professional and a friendly server. Thx you for the great experience! Will be back!

The food was good and the servers were nice! Unfortunately there was absolutely no traction on the floor underneath the table. The table itself was not sturdy and continued to slide around as the people at it had needed to get up or sit down (entering, leaving, and using the restroom).

Kinda a hole in the wall atmosphere but the food was delicious. The chips and cheese dip was freshly fried when ordered and I got extra cheese dip to put on my steak burrito which was absolutely amazing. Will go back again for sure!

My wife & I experienced lunch today with our adult son. I’m sorry I don’t recall our server’s name, but her explanation of today’s specials and other menu details was excellent! Our food was delivered in 12-minutes or less, and was “deliciously authentic”. We found our “first ever visit” to this clean, moderately priced, “local favorite” gem to be enjoyable and highly recommend you too enjoy “Lil Burro’s” warm ambiance and delicious food!

A true hidden gem. I went with the green burrito lunch special. The pork was cooked perfectly and the suace was seasoned well. A unique restraunt featuring an inviting atmosphere, excellent service and fair prices. Very clean and welcoming. All I would expect and more. Not my first time here and definatly not my last.
