This place is worth making a trip for if you dont live in the area. Is a small brewery but it really set the standards for mead for me. This place is ran by people who truly work with the goal of producing a great product. I did the brewery tour which is about an hour long and for the price it's really worth doing you get to know the history of the company, taste test plenty of the mead they sell. After going and having a good time they had me leaving with a new found love for mead!

Mario and Katie were awesome....extremely friendly and knowledgeable. As an amature mead maker, I was blown away by the volume of offerings. We tried all but one and I will say that there is something for everyone. This is great as an aficionado to see them expanding the love to all. They also have food, although we did not try. I am making this a standard stop every time I am in town. I learned so much and the flavors were amazing. Thank you guys for doing the shop and the community right.

My visit here felt like a really pleasant dream, full of good times and the best of intentions. The small yet inviting dining room quickly entranced my 3 brothers and I as soon as we walked in. We were greeted warmly and within minutes we learned what mead was, and all the magical varieties that Sap House Meadery had on hand, expertly distilled right there on the premises. We sat, we ate, we drank. The vibe was so relaxed and genuine, I can still feel its sublime energy now. Food is excellent, the Mead was very unique and the staff is off the charts accommodating and knowledgeable. This place is very special, and I am looking forward to visiting here again and again!

Loved it!! We’d never been to a Meadery before, and we appreciated Katelyn explaining the process and let us taste several different kinds. The meat and cheese tray was all locally sourced and delicious! It paired perfectly with the flight we had. We will be back whenever we are in the area.

Great small plate snacks to share between a couple. Great options to sample everything if you’ve not had mead before. But definitely try it! Very different and delicious! It was awesome to see a list of cocktails made with mead. Fun little spot!

What a wonderful spot! Excellent mead with nuanced flavors and varying levels of sweetness, which appealed to me as someone who prefers dry wine. Worth getting a few flights and some food for the full experience. Equally important is the very kind and knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly.

We had an amazing tasting with warm and exceptional service! The mead itself was excellent, varied, and creative. We also did a honey tasting which was very interesting and informative. The food was tasty and paired well with the mead. The space itself was lovely and inviting; we felt very comfortable and welcomed. All in all, a truly outstanding experience.

We were recently on vacation staying in the neighboring town of Freedom, and the house had a brochure for Sap House Meadery. I was intrigued, since I’ve never had mead, and I love most things alcoholic. We signed up for one of the Saturday tours, but unfortunately the person running the tour was unable to make it that day. The host/server/jack of all trades behind the counter was very apologetic and gave us a crash course on mead making, and gave us a few samples. Wow, such unique and interesting flavor combinations! We sat at one of the little tables, and I had two flights while my husband had some local beer. I could have bought one of everything I tried, but I managed to limit it to five bottles 😳. We shared the Ploughman’s Lunch and an order of pickled carrots which were really interesting and flavorful. And dessert—a Honeycomb Ice Cream Sundae topped with fresh berries—was unbelievable! Definitely try some of the more funky combinations of mead—I bought the Thai Basil, Lemongrass and Kefir Lime one. Oh, and the Fig, Vanilla and Cardamom (a Swedish spice) was another one I purchased. Sooo delicious! If you’re in the Ossipee area, stop by this little gem. FYI, they’re only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Dog friendly outdoor area, they even had a bowl for our pups. Delicious meads along with amazing artisan cheeses and meats.

Had to stop by after trying their mead at Hobbs Tavern. One word, Wow! I didn't think I liked mead until I tried theirs. I was amazed by the various flavors and complexities. Staff was very friendly and informative, and probably gave us more time than we deserved (my wife and I asked a lot of questions). After generous samples and a flight, we came home with four bottles and plans to return the next time we're in the area.

Great selection of meads. Some were amazing and others were just ok. We did two flights and a cheese board and it made for a great afternoon.

Amazing selection of mead and knowledgeable staff! Delicious flights (we ended up having 3 and doing a couple tastings) and the tacos were a great snack. Shout out to the guy who makes the pickled carrots, my partner loved them so much. We'll definitely be back whenever we're in town.
