We've been going to Animal Hospital at the Crossing ever since we moved to the area a couple of years ago. The doctors, the veterinary technicians and the groomers always treat our pets with genuine concern, gentle care and thorough examination. And the front desk staff is top-notch: all are attentive, friendly and professional. This is a bustling practice, but I've never felt rushed there--the staff are like ducks, paddling underwater while remaining calm and confident above the water! Your pet's well-being is everyone's priority. I highly recommend Animal Hospital at the Crossing!

Changed to this hospital recently and it's already a big difference for the positive. Dr. Stoerger is easy to talk to, the staff and techs are all friendly and helpful. I never felt like I was being rushed, I felt listened to and respected, and the vibes overall were calming enough that my very dramatic shih tzu was willing to take treats (which he normally is too overstimulated and nervous to do at vets) even after he had to get a bunch of shots. It was a bit expensive compared to some other places but (spoiler alert) senior dogs are always expensive and I feel confident that the preventative and supportive care my pets will get here will prevent bigger issues in the long term.

Animal Hospital at the Crossing were prompt, friendly and had knowledgeable staff. After Tanzy’s ultrasound, results were explained to me in a way I could understand vet lingo! Would definitely go back if the need arises.

I took my new puppy “Madison “ to the Crossing for her initial visit. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Dr was very nice, knowledgeable, and kind to my dog. She received a rabies vaccine and some other shots, as well as other basic treatments. I was very pleased with their service and intend to go there again.

Excellent experience at Animal Hospital at the Crossing. I took my very skittish rescue pup, Fergie, to be seen for her wellness exam and to get established since moving to the area. The facility is clean and very well maintained. Every single employee was so welcoming and friendly, to both me and my pup - it was appreciated and helped my pup feel more calm! The Vet Tech and Dr Koehler were excellent with Fergie and really put her at ease.I would highly recommend.

The best vet I’ve ever been to. I will continue to drive here even though it is is an hour and a half away (each way). They are truly that amazing. They truly care about every patient and patient parent. They even let me show them photos of all my other pets and talked about how cute they are 💙💙literally perfect vet

I needed a health certificate urgently with just one week left before my trip to Hawaii. They promptly arranged an appointment and managed the procedure accurately. I appreciate how they meticulously checked all the requirements I was missing. They even proactively handled the paperwork via email in advance before the appointment. Dr. Kappa was incredibly helpful, providing me with all the necessary information and guidance. I've been to four different animal hospitals in Chambana, but my experience here was by far the best. Despite it being a bit farther from my home, I think I'll choose this place for any future veterinary visits.

This place has been great on every visit for our newish puppy. Fair pricing, quality care. Our last visit was the dreaded 'chip and spay' surgery, and the stitching is immaculate. The dog is doing very well. And who can go wrong with a vet called Animal Crossing? We were fans before we even knew they existed!

Dr. Koehler was excellent during our first vet visit for our Bernese Mountain Dog 9 week old puppy. She gave honest recommendations based on her clinical experience. My best friend is a GI doctor and she has convinced me to avoid heavily processed foods and oils (seed oils) at all cost. I've never fed any of my previous dogs (yellow labs > 100lbs) dog food and they have all lived to be 14 and 15 years old. Since the Bernese Mountain Dog is already so prone to health issues I was certainly planning on the same diet. Dr. Koehler seemed concerned about the right proportions of macros (especially as a puppy) and recommended a company "Just Food for Dogs" I really appreciated her recommendation based on my concerns and I bought a subscription right after our vet visit. Honestly, the food they provide looks exactly like the meals I was making at home. Peas, beef, chicken, brown rice, sweet potato, carrot....real food. I was also concerned about the flea and tick pesticides. Flea and tick meds are obviously necessary but; it's not like they are good for dogs. I was on a search for the least harmful. I showed her a brand our Newfoundland breeder recommended to us and she wrote it down and said she would look into it for me. She really went above and beyond to listen and address our concerns. My boyfriend and I were just really impressed with her and all of the staff she was very caring and went out of her way for us. We are getting a Newfoundland puppy next month and we want to ask for her again! P.S Cute photos of our baby below. Once you see the photos you will understand why he must be protected at all costs! haha <3

We’ve been to several vets in the area, but Animal Hospital at the Crossing is the best. We were referred due to their treatment of exotics, but we have been so pleased with the friendliness, laid back atmosphere, cleanliness of the facility, and the compassion we have received from the staff. After having to euthanize one of our guinea pigs, the staff was so sweet and caring, with the vet being visibly moved, even though this was not their pet and I’m sure they’ve done it countless number of times. We have continued to come to Animal Hospital at the Crossing with our cats and they have received the utmost care. The vets and techs are genuinely interested in providing our pets exactly what they need and not what is unnecessary for the situation. It’s easy to ask questions, as the vets are always down to earth and never make you feel like it’s a dumb question or you are taking up too much of their time. It’s always a joy to come in and hear the staff genuinely enjoying being there - it appears to be an excellent working environment, which makes the customer’s experience so much better. The office is so clean, without a hint of animal smells. I’ve never been to a vet’s office where you didn’t smell the animals or the harsh cleaners used, so I’m always amazed when I come in and smell nothing. We might be able to find cheaper services elsewhere, but no other vet’s office has compared to the care we receive at Animal Hospital at the Crossing. We are customers for life!

My partner and I take our three dogs to Animal Hospital at the Crossing and we could not be happier with the care and kindness that the staff show our pups. Everyone we’ve communicated with has been nothing but helpful and understanding. They’re always willing to answer my questions over the phone when I get stressed about something minimal with one of the dogs. Our middle dog was having struggles with separation anxiety and Dr. Koehler helped us understand what was going on, gave us strategies to use at home, and prescribed him some medications that are working great for our sweet boy. No more ripped carpet and garbage mess when we get home from work!! I cannot say enough great things about this practice. Your animal will be in great hands here!

I’ve been taking my Lucky since he was a pup and all I can say is that they are so gentle and friendly with him. I got another puppy and I continue to take her here. I tried another clinic since they were closed, but they did not match the quality of care that the this clinic provides. Definitely the best animal clinic I’ve been to!

I have been very happy with the level of care we have received at AHC (with Dr. Cappa)! It has been easy to make appointments and determine best strategies for improving my cat's health. Although we are moving, I would highly recommend AHC to any pet owner!

I fortunately dont need to go to the vet often, except for routine checks/shots. The time we do go always a very good experience. Staff are nice and kind all around. Very accomodating and easy scheduling and even last minute changes in appointments. I have taken Rusty here since he was a puppy, I havent been inclined to transfer anywhere else. :)

This was Raven’s first vet visit since we picked her out at the Humane Society in Urbana. She a black cat and is 8 months old. She received her rabies shot and last distemper shot, along with having her nails clipped. Staff was awesome. Raven didn’t even flinch when getting the shots and was pretty amendable to the nail clipping as much as a cat can be! Clean facility with separate rooms for cats and dogs. Vet and tech were very kind and loving toward Raven.

Another wonderful experience with our two dogs—the staff is so kind and professional! They take care of our fur babies with the same love that we do, it’s a great feeling to know they’re in such good hands.

Losing a pet is such a heart wrenching experience. Dr.Stoerger and staff went above and beyond during diagnosis, comfort care, and ultimately helping us put our dog to rest. I couldn’t believe the amount of personal care that went into everything…. From phone calls to check in, to flowers afterwards. Hands down an exceptional vet! Highly recommended.

We take all three of our dogs here. The staff treats our canines very kindly, and they are extremely knowledgeable. They go out of their way to be sensitive for special needs dogs and be transparent about costs and services. On top of that, they send report cards after every visit, which is a nice record to keep for your pet. We highly recommend this vet clinic!

What a great experience for us and our new puppy! The clinic is clean, with no animal smell. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our vet, Dr. Cappa, took his time examining our pup and answering our questions. I would heartily recommend him and the clinic!

Made an appointment for my cat's yearly rabies shots and was very pleased with the visit. The vet tech and veterinarian were friendly, efficient, and willing to take the time to listen to concerns I had about my pets. I was also seen right away, making it a quick and painless (mostly) visit for my cats.
