We were very surprised to find such a beautiful place. I actually took a wrong turn trying to find the marina to walk my doggie. Now it's a regular destination.

A very nice place to hang out with family and friends. There are water games and various games for children and adults, such as a volleyball court. There are public bathrooms and a place to swim and sit with a beautiful view of the beach.

If you’re travelling from Victoria to mid or up island with young children, this a perfect spot to rest and stretch and let the kids to burn some energy. It has all you might need: ample parking, wash rooms, ocean with fantastic views, playground, splash park, picnic tables, gazebos, even food trucks.

Transfer Beach is a very beautiful place! It has a great park for the kids, picnic shelters to use, plenty of benches and tables to rest at, a nearby marina, lots of fields and public washrooms. Many people go there to swim, some year round. It's a 5 minute walk from downtown, or you can drive and park in one of the many lots. The old tracks run past the park, and those look pretty cool! You can follow them to the old train station as you walk north. There is plenty to do here year round, if there isn't anything going on the view is amazing! If you're lucky, you may even see a pod of whales pass by.

Absolutely gorgeous!love the waterfront me and the kids picked up seashells for a craft.My kids and other kids all formed a group of tag they were all freindly and so were the parents. The park was overall very clean.

Good Rest Stop We stopped for a rest in October while driving from Victoria to Port Alberni. It's a nice little spot for a stretch and to enjoy a coffee (if you bought one at Tim's!) There's some washrooms, and places to spread a blanket and sit a bit. You can walk the small beach. Bring your own stuff, and enjoy the view!

If you are drive through Ladysmith, this is a really good park for a little rest or spending some more time there. The fall time is pretty as well. It's a wide open park with big lawn, beach, play ground, water park and new restrooms. If you have little kids travel with you, this park will make them so happy. The location is perfect for a rest since it is only 2 minutes away from the highway. You can grab some very good baked goods from Old Town Bakery in the downtown of Ladysmith and have a picnic there. It's only 3 minutes drive between two places.

Great Beach Park with Gazebos, Picnic Benches Playground, large open areas and a fantastic beach. Please observe signs for pet restrictions.

Great park! Stunning views! Beach. Really cool playground, and a splash pad. There was food truck and ice cream truck. Picnic tables and arenas. You can even rent kayak. Big parking lot. New and clean washrooms.

Found this place by total fluke. We were making our way to Tofino and my daughter got car sick so we had to pull over. She was fine after walking around for a bit but in the meantime we stumbled upon a true gem. The area was so big and looked like so much to do. There were huge ocean liner ships to people with kayaks, saw kids in the playground too. Beautiful day as well, people were on bikes, walking dogs and just soaking up the sun before it gets cooler. Gonna make a trip to come here for the day or perhaps the weekend itself.
