There are plenty of pcs to use, and they also loan laptops. There is a good selection of periodicals. They have a children's and youn adult sections, plus multimedia. They seem to only have left-leaning books, but in a cursory search I did not find any conservative authors.

I love going to this library to do my homework and study. I also love the knitting/crocheting for a cause charity that this public library does. I also love their friends of the library bookstore. The books there can go as cheap as a quarter.

One of the staffers works at Chase bank and at the library. For such a big city it's quite small of a library. Some people are cheap. They conduct business from the library's computers while talking to long on the phone. Not homeless and supposedly grown up, they are disturbing to hear and doubtless hurtful to children who sit nearby trying to read and to adults who would help then to develop. Piggys!

Today 2/10/23 had books put in hold by Thursday crew that was fine. (3 star ⭐️ )Today went for one other book. County site says 13 copies through out the system. SC listed as one. Lady at counter said that book was absolutely not available anywhere in the system said it was a zip book. (She explained to me what a zip book was in a snarky tone. In that time should of physically got up and verify that indeed it wasn’t on the shelf)The one lady was actually very rude to me and observed her being rude to the next customer. She would not budge off her perch when she kept on telling my books (on hold)we’re on the top shelf. The other person chimed in there some on the bottom shelf. There was a place card explaining that it one was oversized and behind the counter makes sense. I said that and she said oh no that’s over size it behind the counter got it! Bad experience. You know like DMV bad. Not a pleasant experience. Anyway it would be nice if one of ladies got up an made effort to find the book I was looking for. Sorry it’s your job. Library 101.

This is such a great little library, with a large children's area, and plenty of books and media to enjoy. When we lived down the street, we would regularly visit there. It definitely feels dated like an older library, which is one of the things that appealed to us the most.

Greatest place in San Clemente! A must visit place. Really nice people and great selection of books. For many years now the Library Store has been my treasure chest full of gold. Buy a book, give a book.😀

Customer service is what we pay for, our taxes go towards every library. I walked in to a verbal argument between a library employee and a patron. He was seated and she was standing at the entrance desk. His voice was louder than hers, but I thought his demeanor was unprofessional. It continued long enough that I chose not o stand there more than 1 minute (I had a ?) and walked away. I could hear them half way thru the library. I think all govt (all actually) employees need to be trained on how to deal with cust dissatisfaction. It was obvious that there was friction, rather than disturbing the rest of us, he could have excused himself, got up and took a breadth or asked for some help. Carrying on was in poor taste.

Took the grandkids, the staff could not have been more patient and helpful. So many good books we had a hard time deciding which ones to check out. 😉
