😠 Do NOT go to Crystal Cove. My husband was transferred here after the hospital. 17 days. 8 messages to Doctor, finally get return call day before he left, trying to talk me into keeping him here. Watched him call for 30-40 min for help when he had to go to bathroom, when they wouldn’t let me help him... People often mention staff, Crystal, Cove, facility, nurses, amazing, care, home, work,

Do NOT go to Crystal Cove. My husband was transferred here after the hospital. 17 days. 8 messages to Doctor, finally get return call day before he left, trying to talk me into keeping him here. Watched him call for 30-40 min for help when he had to go to bathroom, when they wouldn’t let me help him. I finally ignored that. I watched his roommate yell for Two hours… wanted Tylenol in pain. I went to nurses station 4 times for him. Never showed. I had to cover him up, help him get sweatshirt on. Two hours NO ONE came. Pitiful. I was told he would have therapy 45 min a day each, OT and PT. Every time I was here it was barely 20 minutes. I can do better than that to get him healthy. NO ONE returns a call until you scream about discharging him. NO ONE! All they want is the money! I left a message about discharge 8 days before I planned on moving him. Spoke with Esperanza in social Services department. Called day before and they knew nothing about discharge, in spite of my placement service emailing her several times. They received physician report, but when I showed up this am they knew nothing about it and wanted to make me leave him u til Monday! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I am new to Crystal Cove but have 10+ years skilled nursing experience. The staff is very welcoming to new residents and staff. In the few months I have been here I have developed friendships with long term resident and enjoy checking in with new residents and watching the amazing transformations from bed bound to walking and eventually going back home. The Nursing and Rehab team here are amazing and caring. That was the first thing I noticed. Excited to be a part of the Team!!!!!

Crystal Cove Care Center (CCCC) was purchased by a new owner about six - eight months ago. The new owner brought in a new Director. The new Director has really improved the center significantly. I have had family or friends in seven care facilities, and CCCC is the best I have seen. The place is very clean, and all staff members from the nurses, therapists, CNAs are very responsive and proactive. My mom has been there for six days, and I am very happy with her care and therapy treatment.

The one star is for the employees, they were nice but some were untrained. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband Mark was discharged from encompass (they were awesome) he was at Crystal Cove for one night and called me at 6am to get him out of there. So understaffed, he didn't feel safe there at all, nobody ever came when you called. If you choked or was having a medical emergency you would die before anyone came. It took 3 hrs for someone to answer the call button, his urinal was full so he was contemplating pouring it on the floor so he could use it and not pee the bed. I don't know who owns this place, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Crystal Cove is a wonderful place filled with caring and compassionate people who will go above and beyond to meet your loved ones needs. It doesn’t matter what department cares for your loved one because you’ll always find someone who is willing to go the extra mile. Crystal Cove welcomes and cares for all.

I have been at Crystal Cove Care Center for almost 3 years now as a long term resident. The staff is always willing to help you out with whatever you may need. I marvel at how totally clean its kept. The maintenance people keep this place pristine for all of our comfort. The staff is always willing to help you out with whatever you may need. Even laundry and the hairstylist (Laura) take great care. My favorite people are the kitchen staff. Therapy team is incredible and effective. They are the best in the area. I always look forward to working with Jason in therapy. It's not always perfect but every department works so hard for us. It's comfortable, family friendly, and it feels like home. Thank you Crystal Cove for all of your compassion

The majority of the nurses are exceptional, and the majority of the nurses assistants are also exceptional. The administration is another matter. They treat the majority of patients like prisoners. They lay down the law (weather it is legal or not) with an iron hand. They keep bringing in patients without having enough staff and so staff id forced to work doubles sometimes 3 days in a row. Jonah is director of nurses and staff is intimidated to go to her with work related problems for fear of harsh retaliation. Items and clothing go missing and complaints are met with slow or no action. Jonah deals with some situations with physical altercations by way of huge men to quash whatever she decides needs physical abuse. Lots of lies from her immediate staff.

My grandmother was placed here after she decided not to go through with dialysis. Honestly speaking, she is not a easy person to work with and have very stubborn mindset, however, she seem to be okay after staying two nights at Crystal Cove. I do see the nurses treating her with gentleness, and are compassionate in helping her with her needs. Taking her there was a tough choice, but Crystal Cove Care Center tried to work with me as much as they can and I really do appreciate that. I seen the bad reviews online and I can’t say if they are true or false, but let’s face it: no one wants to stay at a care center. With that mentality planted in customer’s head, it is difficult to judge fairly. Obviously home is going to be better, but Crystal Cover does seem to provide a service that is as close to home setting as possible. Overall, take your loved ones and have them stay with you if situation allows. Otherwise, I do trust and recommend Crystal Cove Care Center.

After my grandmother had an accident she was rushed to Hoag. She had to have hip surgery and required Rehab. We were given a few recommendations by the staff at Hoag which we toured to find the best fit for us and our situation. Crystal cove definitely stood out. It’s very clean, and it smells nice. The fact of the matter is that we were looking for a place that provided excellent service without compromising the level of care my grandmother needed. We decided on Crystal Cove. As this was all very new to us we were provided with all the resources we needed by the case managers to insure an easy transition back home when discharged. We would highly recommend Crystal Cove to our friends and family.

Worked with Alondra in admissions over the weekend to get placement for my mother for Skilled Nursing. She was kind, courteous and diligent in her efforts to get the ball rolling to get my mother transferred comfortably to their facility. Having looked into many Skilled Nursing centers, I am excited to have my mother at this facility and look forward to meeting the rest of the team. Would highly recommend.

My mom went to this facility after suffering from a stroke. I really cannot say enough good things about the staff here. From communication, to their amazing nurses, to the food, to pristinely clean interior, to the therapy they offer, I have been thoroughly impressed. I genuinely feel that my mom in the best hands. The entire team has far exceeded any expectations I could’ve had. Hats off especially to Luceria the CNA, Ciara the nurse, Megan at the front desk, Clifford the speech therapist, Debbie the therapy director, and Veronica & Maggie the social workers. Ciara, the nurse, has absolutely blown me away by her level of care for my mom - I mean really, I am truly touched by the way she cares for patients. I hope management gives her some credit for her amazing work because she has been beyond amazing! She is truly amazing at what she does. Thank you Crystal Cove and all your caring staff for being such an amazing facility and taking such impeccable care of my mom.

My loved one was there for PT rehab after hip pinning....was often found in a soaking wet brief...unattended and afraid...no way to get help. Ended up with a bad uti and DIED of SEPTIC SHOCK. Can't leave a comment without a rating...PT staff were good

0 stars for this place, should be shut down. Fine when she arrived from Hoag hospital and now suffering from flu that was passed around from this place. We now have hospice at home, now praying she will stay with us,
