👍 Nice handicraft. Good demo of work. The shop owner did not force customers to buy inspite of long demo and explanation. Expensive though. People often mention carpets, carpet, rugs, experience, Agra, amazing, quality, beautiful, visit,

Nice place to buy original handmade carpets from Agra. Prices should be negotiated.

Must rate 5 stars! Truly - interesting, informational experience seeing the way carpets are handmade, amazing service and tour, and the carpets speak for themselves. They are truly a work of art, and it’s incredible seeing this company continuing a (super old) legacy of craftsmanship and creativity and passion!!!! I bought a carpet, and I told myself I wouldn’t review until I knew it was coming… I have the UPS tracking # and I am so excited and grateful, ready to start a collection of family heirlooms!!!! Yayyyy

One of the best carpet stores in North India. They gave me a personalised tour of the carpet making process. It was humbling to know that the carpet that I bought took over 4 months of handiwork to get completed. I met the two artisans, Abdul and Suresh, who made my carpet. If you are in Agra, do visit them, not just buy carpets, but also to experience Indian culture in all its magnificent colours!

Very disappointed. Buyer beware. We purchased a 11 foot runner for several thousand dollars for our home while on a business / please trip in March 2019. Did not haggle on price, paid full asking. Chose specific colours based on samples there and took several picture. Once runner arrived (several months later than promised date) we immediately noticed colours not even close. We sent email and received offer of another "small rug" as compensation. When we replied that a full replacement with correct colours was required there was no response. Very disappointed, buyer beware, it appears you get what you get and that's it!

The go-to place for the best carpets in town. The place has an amazing collection of Persian rugs, Kashmiri rugs and other kinds of carpet too. The owners and the staff are also super friendly. Overall, amazing experience! Must visit.

What an amazing experience of getting to know how to make carpet. All the hardwork and craftsmanship which comes to the generation from before the time of the TajMahal. Special thanks to Abrar to show us the entire unique experience with rugs. No words can describe the beauty within.

We had the chance to visit this place and we were charmed by the tour guide. It's simply impressive, and fair price considering the massive work required and the quality achieved.

"My recent visit to Kalra’s Cottage Industry was truly exceptional. Yogi, the sales representative, prioritized my needs and went above and beyond to assist me in finding the perfect carpet. From traditional to contemporary designs, they had a wide selection to choose from. The quality and craftsmanship of their carpets are top-notch."

When it comes to finding a truly memorable memento from your trip to Agra, I cannot recommend Kalra Cottage Industry (KCI) enough. Whether you take the advice of your guide or personally request a stop at KCI, you won't be disappointed. From the moment we stepped foot into the establishment, the owners warmly welcomed us and graciously walked us through their impressive production house. We were lucky enough to witness a live demonstration of the traditional hand-weaving technique and the meticulous process involved in creating their exquisite rugs. The owners also shared with us a detailed history of rug making, which added a deeper appreciation for their craft. What stood out throughout our visit was the lack of pressure to make a purchase. We were given the freedom to explore their wide selection of beautiful rugs at our own pace. Ultimately, we decided to buy a rug that we fell in love with, and we were thrilled by the ease of the transaction. KCI took care of every aspect, from careful packaging to the surprisingly fast shipping that delivered our precious purchase halfway across the world. We are immensely grateful to KCI and their attentive staff for providing us with an heirloom-quality rug that will be cherished for generations to come.

Was given a demonstration of carpet making, I learned a lot about the different materials and knots. They were beautiful carpets. Abrar was very informative about the designs and history.

I'm compelled to write this review after a tour of manual carpet making in Agra. Having never been consciously exposed to woolen and silk carpets, it was amaZing to feel them under bare foot. Mr. Yogesh's cheerful and enthusiastic walk-through is the highlight of entire tour. I thank him and the staff for such wonderful first experience into carpet making. I highly recommend visiting the store.

I cannot find any shortcomings in the service of this place. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left with full shopping bags, their hospitality was top-notch. Not only did they live up to their promises, but they also wasted no time in shipping our purchase before we departed from Agra. We received our items just in time upon our arrival in our home country, thanks to their speedy delivery service and superb packing. It was truly amazing, and I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in Indian textiles, art, or craftsmanship. 🤩 😻

I travelled to India in March 2020 and of course was recalled to Australia as borders were closing..However, we were lucky to see the Taj Mahal and visit Agra..unfortunately we went to Kalras Cottage Industry where we were treated to drinks and a display of beautiful rugs..travelling the world and having purchased rugs and beautiful pieces before to help economies I decided to choose a rug and have it sent onto Australia...what I received I believed it was not what I had chosen but apart from that the quality was below standard...I contacted Kalras Cottage Industry who were very nice and offered me another rug as compensation with a price tag attached..I was not prepared to accept the offer as I had already spent $3,800 on a lousy rug..Why should I pay more for a replacement rug not knowing whether it would be of good quality.. BEWARE!!....don’t be steam rolled into purchasing rugs, then having them sent onto your home address within 4 months...😪
