I attempted to make an appointment by phone with Dr Haldane Porteous for two weeks to no avail. So I drove to the Gessler Clinic from Poinciana, FL which is a 45 min ride. Apparently, I entered thru the wrong door as his Office was in the opposite building which was excruciatingly convoluted to reach as I just had knee surgery and was sent thru even nick and lane to get there. And no one was helpful in their responses to my misdirections as the staff was obviously annoyed. They should have initially told me to return to my car and drive to the other building. The Doctor's secretary with a very dismissive attitude told me I needed a referral in order to be seen. So my drive there was for nothing. And when I receive a referral from another Doctor, will I again need to drive there to set up the appointment as phone requests go unanswered? I read the reviews for the Gessler Clinic which verified the disinterest towards the patients that I felt so intensely. So I made an appointment with another kidney doctor. It's too bad as I was impressed with Dr. Porteous' credentials. But I decided this Gessler place is an horrific place to seek medical care.

Are you nervous about having blood drawn? Don't be scared; these folks get lots of practice! The phlebotomists at Gessler Clinic are truly exceptional. Just be sure to arrive early to avoid longer wait times!

Please, please stay away from this clinic!! The only ones that benefit are most likely known personally by the doctors or staff. I am a new patient as I just moved to the area. This March I needed a surgery performed on an eye. It was scheduled for end of April. Gessler wasn’t very concerned or helpful at all. The scheduling people don’t schedule in for what the doctors tell you. The reason? “Because the doctors don’t know their schedule and I do. So what the doctor wants is not happening.” This is what was told to me. Also pay attention to the medications. They copied two of mine incorrectly. All I can say is good luck. I called administrator’s office and got nothing resolved. They DON’T care!!!! My surgery is now set and they have sent in the wrong medication!! Unbelievable 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dr. Advani was great. BILLING IS AWFUL!!!! We updated insurance back in Feb 2023 and they failed to update in their system and now sending us a bill because they failed to file it to the correct insurance company. We will be filing a complaint with both Cigna and the Insurance commissioner. They have transferred the balance to patient outside of compliance. They failed to even submit claims to Cigna. Even after calling and telling them this they refuse to bill Cigna which they do hold a contract for and must submit the claim. I would avoid this clinic due to billing at all cost. They will tell you one thing then months later send you a bill without taking the correct billing steps.

I went to see my primary doctor and they said I had to see financial services before I could be seen. When I arrived at the financial department. They said I had a bill from 2016 which was 7 years prior. How am I supposed to dispute a bill from 7 years ago when I can't even find any Bank payments, etc. The bill was $632, I paid 332 dollars. However, I will be searching for a different medical facility. I feel this is very unethical for a company to be rein that way.

First appointment with Dr R Mcray at Gessler Clinic since previous Dr retired. First impressions-she’s very pleasant, seems to be very experienced and competent in Family Medicine and best of all, seemed like she was actually listening to what I had to say-rate and prized quality in a Doc these days. So far, so good.

I can't say enough positive regarding nurse practitioner Laura Mackley and her nurse Debbie! Didn't care for the bedside manner of a doctor at Gessler years ago and decided to give the clinic another shot 2 years ago (btw the previous doctor has since retired). I was given a recommendation for Laura through a friend and her husband. Pleasantly pleased with Laura's willingness to listen and never feel rushed at appointments with her (in the past previous doctors have been in a rush to go from patient to patient and inevitably would leave with concerns unaddressed). Debbie is always prompt in returning phone calls and she is lightening fast at following up with pharmacy orders. Again kuddos to these two for giving great care and service to their patients!!

Was looking for a new doctor since it’s been some time. Booked an appointment with Dr. Willie Jones. He is absolutely fantastic. Great personality. Listens to all your concerns. Very patient and understanding. Highly recommend

I almost never comment and complete reviews but I had to after what I experienced! After having a couple horrible experiences with Nurse Practitioner Heather Perry a friend of mine recommended I get in to seeing Dr Christian. Scheduling sent me to Sharon from administration who said I wasn’t accepted back to any care at Gessler. I was shocked that one bad experience from a rude uncaring nurse practitioner could prevent a patient from seeking care at the whole facility. I was never rude to them. I could understand if I ever made a scene or was rude. All I did was just leave care with Heather Perry and tried care at another clinic. Apparently if you leave any of the Nurse Practioners, you aren’t welcome back.

Called with questions on my mothers diagnosis no call back. Mother was prescribed a medication that was not good for her that had some pretty bad side effects. Not happy with the unanswered questions and concerns. Waiting for a call back on the medication issue but I’m not holding my breath. Called her insurance to find better care for her. She’s not getting what she needs. Our seniors deserve better!

Very frustrated with these folks. I used to have an endocrinologist, who was very good at this facility. She left and went to another location. They were suppose to contact me with the new Endo. Never did. I finally called and got transferred 4 times. Seems like no one wanted to make an appointment. When they found out the new doctor doesn't take my insurance, they hung up on me. Customer service could be better.

My review is specifically for Dr. Christian and his supporting staff. They are condescending and carelessly waste time with their inability to communicate timely and effectively. Their lack of energy around problem solving leaves the impression they enjoy dragging their feet when it comes returning calls, providing information or a resolution. I would extend some level of empathy by considering that maybe they are short staffed or poorly trained however there is never an apology for any inconvenience but instead we are greeted with patronizing remarks. Truly astonished and disappointed by their behavior.

Saw Dr.Ramiriz 6/15/23. Very thorough. My wife-the patient- got sick and vomited . Numerous women came to her aid. She first got sick in the lab those ladies were wonderful also.

Don’t ever ever ever see Dr. Martino when expecting. Without fail, she is ALWAYS BEHIND. I have been waiting in office for 2 hours, have yet to see her. Dr. Jardine however, is wonderful, and is respectful of patients time. I understand getting behind, but EVERY TIME for HOURS at a time? People have jobs, kids, responsibilities, etc.

Dr Harrison is very rude and doesn't listen. He only cares about money and thinks that every health problem is caused by obesity. His nurse Connie is amazing which is the reason for the one star.

I had an apptm at Dr Parillo's office to get Spine injections one mornings, and my co-pay is $45. Staff at front desk said Dr Parillo's would not do injections unless I paid a co-pay of $500. My insurance or co- pays did not change, plus, the front desk people are always very rude. I asked my PCP physician to refer me to another pain management doctor. I've been seeing Dr Parillo for years, all he want to do is subscribe pills, pills, pills, my spinal stenosis is worst. Dr Kent left where are you? PLEASE COME BACK!
