I use to be more of a regular customer. The gas prices are usually below the rest of the gas stations in town. However, the reason for the average rating is because of a situation that occurred last night. I had low tire pressure in one of my tires. No biggie. I have come to Thorntons at this location to fill up my tires previously. I wasn't expecting to run into any problems, but I did. I filled up my tire once and my gage was reading even lower than it was when I came in. Filled up again, and it was even lower. It took air out of my tire, instead of in! Ended up with a flat tire. Luckily my boyfriend doesn't live too far away from here and tried the air pump on his tires, did the same thing... took air out of his tires. We ended up filling my tires somewhere else. You really need to put an out of order sign on the air pump machine as I wasted my hard earned money and wasted a good amount of time trying to fix a simple problem that turned into a bigger one. I will only be coming for gas from now on. Please get an out of order sign on the machine and/or get this fixed/replaced!!!

They have the cheapest gas in the immediate area. It's a pretty big store (for a gas station) and a decent selection. you never have to wait in line too long, but there is often a line. They do sell wine and beer.

Favorite gas station currently at over 400 visits! Great discounts for rewards members.

I visited this throntons and I was very impressed by the way a worker by the name Celi helped me. Precisely that day I went to purchase slushie and I had an accident and dropped them all on the flood and Celi helped me out promptly and professionally. I was embarrassed but Celi reassured me that everything was ok and not to worry. She did amazing dealing with that situation.

Kevin is amazing! So helpful and friendly. This is the level of professionalism and customer care that keeps the community happy and loyal. Had no idea this Thornton's donut game was so on point. Beautiful selection and totally fresh.

The store looks clean, friendly customer service. Just be wary of the bathroom lights.

Not quite sure why, just shortly ago I came in to grab two forties for me and my friend, ID ready with money. Because my ID is not scannable, and it is a US department of state ID (for people with a G1 Visa) the lady in the front did not accept it. “I’m sorry they are very strict here” while her co worker told her he would do it. I also left my ID inside and when I came back to grab it, “it’s not here” I came back around and the ID was on the table. If you can, avoid this place. Never had to experience this type of behavior before and I’m a regular customer

Good gas prices, good selection of drinks and snacks but they recently had some work done on the interior and I got a nail in my tire when I was parking.

I love Thornton’s! Last year I would go here every single day to get pop w my dad in the green big cups. This year we had went here a few times now since covid is around. I went here yesterday to get pop w my older sister while my dad was getting Wayne's Pizza. This place is always clean, clean restrooms and nice employees. I love getting my snacks here!

Sorry to say I wouldn't be using Thornton anymore. I've been a loyal customer at your Third Lake IL. location since its opening. Picking up my coffee and other things every weekday morning. And filling my work truck 3 times a week at least. Once in a while the coffee wasn't made. But for the last 5 weekdays in a roll I've come in to find coffee not ready. Not the best thing at 5:30 in the morning. I asked your clerk who was behind the counter with no customers at register to please make some coffee. He started making it then stopped, he told me he will come back after he helps the customer at register. What I'm not a customer? Who by the way was here before the gentleman at the register. My only regret is that I filled my gas tank before coming inside. Speedway is a little out of my way. But I think it would be a better choice.
