Here is why I know Red Schafer Mixed Marital Arts (RSMMA) school is the BEST MMA school in Milwaukee County. 1) Eric "Red" Schafer himself. You may not recognize him in passing but his name is synonymous in the Midwest Region for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In addition, this 7x UFC competitor paved the way for future Milwaukee UFC fighters such as Anthony Pettis, Chico Camus and Danny Downes just to name a few. Highly respected for his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Red is best known for his moral integrity which he has embedded in the fabric of his school. 2) Red's Staff. Whether its Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling or Strength and Conditioning, Red has assembled a staff that rivals any other school in Milwaukee County. The staff at RSMMA prides itself in its organic teaching structure, this format allows the instructors to provide each student with the confidence to develop their own UNIQUE skills based upon their abilities and aspirations. 3) RSMMA Community. I have trained at what is considered some of the best MMA schools in Milwaukee and I have never seen such a acceptances of cultures than at RSMMA. The environment is super family friendly and you will never get the vibe that you do not belong. I could keep going on but I'm going to finish with this. "You can go to an academy and PAY for your belt but you may not receive an EDUCATION or you can come to RSMMA and EARN your belt and LEARN something."

Moved from California just so I could train Kickboxing at this gym. The striking coaches are on point, specially coach Solo. The sparring sessions are like going to war, no fighter in this gym will be easy to beat. If you're serious about fighting, this is the spot. The Jiu Jitsu is so practical as well. And the montly fee is one of the best reasons, to come to this gym. It's so affordable compared to the other gyms in Milwaukee, it's ridiculous.

Red is kind, welcoming, and an EXCELLENT teacher. He has had professional MMA success, and is particularly impressive in communicating his extensive knowledge to others. The facility is safe and instruction is tailored to MMA practitioners of all ages, experience levels, athletic ability, and genders. It’s an affordable facility providing many workout options for someone wanting to try something new. Many capable MMA practitioners train here. Red’s is first BJJ training location I tried and I am so happy I did! Highly recommend!

Excellent gym, my 10 year old goes twice a week for jiu jitsu and the instructors are awesome! He really enjoys it. He goes twice a week an hour each time and it's reasonable! Highly recommended
