đź‘Ťđź‘Ť Steele and Loeber has been amazing since day one. They walked me through their model garages and went to give me an estimate the next day. I had received other estimates from different garage companies but Steele and Loeber gave me the best price. It was also finished faster than I had anticipated.... After hearing so many horror stories of how bad some garage rebuilds went, my wife and I were very hesitant about getting our old eye soar of a garage rebuilt. After searching the internet and reading one bad review after another we finally came across Steele and Loeber Garage Builders. The reviews on their company were very good so we decided to give them a call for an estimate. We meet the rep Brian and he walked us through the process and the costs. Brian was very professional and talked to us like our opinions mattered. He took the time to explain everything and not once did he try to "Up Sale" us. Brian was very straight forward and honest. Brian is a top-notch rep and has excellent customer service skills. There was no question we were going to sign with Steele and Loeber. One of our biggest concerns was how long the rebuild would take. We had heard and read about some garage builds taking as long as 6-8 months to complete. Brian was very upfront about how long it could take but he assured us that the process would not take that long at all. He was a man of his word!! We signed the contract the last week of March 2022 and the new garage was up and ready by the 3rd week of May 2022. It only took 6 weeks!!! We were extremely happy with how fast and smooth the process was and Brian was there every step of the way. Unlike some companies where once you sign the contract you never hear anything else from the rep. Brian kept us updated on every step and was very responsive to any questions we had. From the permit process, demolition, concrete pour, new build, electrical work, and the final inspection, Steele and Loeber were on top of their game. I can't say enough about how smooth the process was. The new garage looks amazing! On top of the garage, we also had a covered patio added to the back with a party door access. We are so excited to enjoy our new garage and patio this summer. The attached pictures say it all from the old eye soar garage to the new modern version.

We lost our detached garage in an emotionally charged fire in March of this year. We needed to rebuild as quickly as possible. We searched for garage builders and very few wanted to even show up. Some would only give estimated proposals by email. When a neighbor told us about Steele and Loeber we made a call. Brian showed up the next day personally and walked through the entire build with us. We trusted him so much we signed the contract on the spot. The pricing was reasonable, but the service was great! Brian kept us informed every step of the way. The people doing the concrete, the building and the electrical were quality and willing to communicate. The outcome was superb, and we were thrilled with the garage.

Steele and Loeber built us a nice garage but it was the worst experience with any company since we’ve been in our house. We’ve had major plumbing work done, major roof work, a fence built, and by far Steele and Loeber was the worst experience we’ve had. Murray, the salesman, fancifully described “skilled European craftsman” during our sales process. They were skilled and the garage is nice but the crew was led by a gruff, curt, and unresponsive man. Murray promised a garage built in a few days. He described how the garage would go up and nothing would stop these craftsmen until our product was done. The process we experienced was not that. The crew came and went across a few days. They started, skipped a day, didn’t answer calls in between, and then showed up half way through another day to finish. Steele and Loeber couldn’t even tell when they were coming when I called. We would’ve been fine with the product if it did not become clear over time that Murray is a liar that will tell you what you need to hear to sell you a garage. Then, it took them five days to send someone to clean the garbage left by the building crew. I imagine this is typical but it once again did not happen how the salesman described. Lastly, we wanted gutters on our garage. We called Steele and Loeber to check when they would be installed. The guy in charge of building was very unprofessional when we reached out. It took Steele and Loeber more than a week to reach out and they handled the situation poorly. One of the guys called me Patricia twice (either bad business or rude.) At the end, they offered to cover a portion of our gutters for a five star review, which we declined. Steele and Loeber saved us about $1,000 but I was warned by other companies that there were things beyond money that I should consider. I didn’t understand then but I would gladly pay more to not have this experience. They tried to blame issues on “supply chain” and “covid” but pretty much all of our issues were related to poor communication on their end as well as poor follow up. If saving money is the most important thing in your life, they may be the choice for you. But, I cannot express enough how much regret I have investing money with this company.

I priced three garage contractors in Chicago and all came in fairly close in price. My Steel and Loeber salesman, Brian, was clearly excited about the opportunity to build our garage. I chose them to proceed and couldn't be happier with my choice. I absolutely love our garage! Brian had excellent communication throughout the process. He coordinated the permit with the Village and all subsequent inspections, which went perfectly. The main inspector even commented on our final inspection how nice our garage looked! Their concrete, framing and electrical crews were all fantastic! Brian also connected us with an epoxy floor contractor after completion to put the finishing touch on the garage :). He was also able to utilize the exact same siding and roof materials that we had just installed on our detached house so that our garage matched perfectly. I would recommend Steele and Loeber to anyone who's looking for a high-quality garage at a competitive price.

Brian the best , very attentive and made the process incredibly simple for us. He navigated a tricky permit process and ensured that our garage was built in record time. The work was to a high standard and the after build service (an issue with our door being damaged) was second to none. Could not recommend him and Steele and Loeber enough.

I intended to just have concrete repair done in my garage. Unfortunately my contractor informed me that there was no foundation underneath my garage. And the old garage was a safety hazard. So I had them demo my old garage and lay down a new foundation for a new garage. While that process was going on,I contacted 5 companies Danleys first due to name recognition ,they wouldn’t build on existing concrete . Next was absolute garage the sales person Wally came out on Juneteenth he seemed like a cheesy sitcom used car salesman price he quoted was fine but the other info he gave me about my new garage might need to be moved 2ft inside my property line due to an ordinance in my Village made anxious . Next was Steele and Loeber Brian my sales guy called the next day we set up an appointment in the afternoon I told him the situation about the garage being moved ,he was confident that I wouldn’t have to . We talked more and I was given a good price. I spoke with two other companies one over the phone George’s and Stanley’s came out another sales guy that seemed shady. Consulted with my wife told her about my experience with all the ppl mind you Stanley had the lowest price . But we really liked our sales guy Brian he was responsive communicatied with my concrete guy and best of all he got the permits I needed right away and I didn’t have to move the garage over. Once my concrete guy was finished steele and Loeber stepped in ,great work entire process was 3 days total.

I wanted to wait to post my review. Last year a tree limb from a 200 year old Burr Oak obliterated my header, soffit, and fascia on my garage which was built in 1950's. The structural integrity was affected rendering it unsafe. I went back and forth with my insurance company which I expected, they wanted to "sister" it together as they put it instead of doing what was right and replacing it all together. This is when I encountered Steele and Loeber. I called multiple garage companies and no one would even give me the time of day. This was very very frustrating as I was left with no garage and no help either. Brian Crothers a salesman with Steele and Loeber was very attentive to my call he arrived the next day and we sat down and began to design a new garage. Brian was kind and professional throughout the whole process It was very apparent he was well versed in everything garage related and that he loved his job, genuinely cared about his customers, and also had a great attention to detail. Brian assured me that I had nothing to worry about. He went above and beyond and delivered on what he said. I couldn't be happier with my new garage I spend more time in there then I do in my house. From the initial planning, getting permits, pouring concrete, building the garage, running electric and final walk through I can say without a doubt there is no company in the Chicagoland area that can deliver what they say like Steele and Loeber does. Brian is a valuable asset to his company that has been in business over 70 years. While most people will "turn and burn" once paid Brian doesn't he stands by all his customers from beginning to end just to make sure there happy and the job is done right. Thank You Brian! and Thank you Steele and Loeber!!!!
