Their food is fantastic, but they lack good customer service. My mom and I (African American) was in the drive-thru waiting for the food and after 15 minutes had past, the young lady at the register asked us to pull up. As we were waiting for the food again, we seen that the customer behind us received their food instantly. One of the co-workers finally came out and handed us the food. There was no “thank you for your patience; sorry for the wait; have a nice day,” nothing. I don’t want to be a Karen and get the Better Business Bureau on them, but it’s really sad.

this place has good food don’t get me wrong, but I want to understand how I almost cracked my permanent retainer from finding a toothpick inside my taco? it was laying perfectly flat in there and I took a bite and felt something very hard. you may be thinking that I put this there, but look at the color of the toothpick, all the oils and juices of the taco has been saturated into the toothpick; I did not place that there. it’s the accidents like these where the restaurant is lucky something bad didn’t happen because a lawsuit would’ve been the second thing coming at them.

Best Authentic Mexican Rotisserie Chicken In Town!!! Restaurant is small and limited seating. Combo comes with beans, rice, Tortillas and fried baby oinons. Salsa and other condiments are fresh. Parking is limited. Great customer service and clean.

I live about an hour away from this place. I was starving while visiting North Chicago and did a quick good search. This place came up. I was absolutely beyond pleased I went. The 2 piece chicken dinner came with rice, beans, grilled green onions, 5 hot tortillas and grilled jalapeños on top of the beautifully cut, perfectly grilled chicken. I should have sat and ate but time didn’t permit! I ate while driving and it was delicious! If I’m ever in the area again, hands down it would be my first choice!

This is the place to get your grilled chicken. The beans are outstanding and very flavorful. Chicken is tender and seasoned right. Grilled onions and jalapeños are excellent. Salsas are good and they give you a many to choose from. Rice is bland don’t care for mashed potatoes (taste watered down) This is definitely my place to go when I’m craving chicken and “charro beans” Highly recommend!

I asked for 2 chickens with come with 6 sides I asked for the 6 sides and when I get the food I only got one chicken when I asked for who like why would I order 1 chicken with 6 sides and they told me they will have to charge for the chicken if I can another one which was 20 sum dollars and for the family pack with chicken and 3 sides was 24. When in reality I should have only paid the difference. Next time I will make sure I’m getting charged for 2 family packs because this is insane. Maybe they should get some hearing aids cuz they can’t listen right.

Delicious! We had the steak tacos & Torta and both were really tasty. They have a salsa bar including fresh pico and are all really good! The beans are super tasty! Friendly and quick service. I can't wait to go back! 👍👍👍

Always friendly service. They are never not busy so if you're in a hurry, order take out. Forget about the drive though. It's always a long wait. But only because the food is delicious. Believe me, they're hustling back there. If you want amazing tender-juicy chicken, this is the place to go. They are in an old pizza hut building. Charming. We always come here for the whole chicken meal special with 3 sides. Never disappointed, very consistent with the flavor, Their frijoles charros are awesome, the rice is always fluffy, and their chicken is always moist and tender full of flavor. They are #1 in this area for their grilled chicken. Their prices have gone up but at this point, everything has gone up after covid, still worth it. About $30 for a whole chicken with 3 sides. I recommend it!

This is by far one of the best roasted chicken places you can try in the area, they have awesome beans…and great onions Cebollitas, roasted Jalepeno peppers, and this is a traditional roasted chicken just like they serve all over Mexico. It’s fresh, the salsas are great and I brought my mother here and she loved it

Great food for individual orders and I've been coming back for years. I would give 5 stars but I had an issue with a catering order. The order/food must have been prepared days prior as the shelf life was only 1 day. My family members that took it home advised it began to smell on day 2. I checked the food I kept for myself and indeed it had started to go bad. I can cut them some slack as it was over the holidays and they were probably doing batch cooking.

Oh my my my!!! This place in fire 🔥🔥🔥! Loved the whole experience and the food is outstanding! I want to go back and try more! I had the chicken quesadilla combo and the flavors pleasantly stayed with me. I can't wait to do the chicken next time.

Best authentic pollo asado en Waukegan, there’s a reason it’s always packed!! I always get at least a pollo entero with the sides of rice and frijoles rancheros. Highly recommend if you want a tasty, filling meal for a decent price.

Been looking for a real good place for chicken in the area and this is the place to come to. Their chicken was perfect all around, the meat was very flavorful and skin was just the right crisp. Love how they served onions and huge roasted peppers completing the dish giving it the extra kick. I’m from Miami where there’s many great Latin food and finally found the perfect Latin Chicken spot since I’ve moved to chicago.

They have really good chicken. I would definitely recommend getting the 12 piece chicken with rice, beans, and onions. Your meal comes with packs of tortillas. They have a variety of sauces, my favorite is the spicy avocado sauce. You can dine in, pick up, and even has a drive through. Definitely an awesome find.

They are AMAZING its like eating food at my grandmothers house without having to cook she does eat there too try the tortas

What an amazing restaurant! This was my first time stopping in, and was happy I did! The atmosphere and service was great, and the food was affordable and delicious! Felt and tasted like I was back in Mexico!!

Great tacos but the Pollo Asado is the real star. Their lunch specials are very good and all the homemade fillings and salsas make it a great value. The family meals are where this place shines. My family of 5 ate the chicken and a half meal for 2 days. The chicken is so juicy and the grilled cebolitas and jalapeños give great topping flavors to the pulled chicken tacos you make with the order. Any time you can feed a family if 5 for under $30 and it tastes AMAZING then everybody truly wins. They really are the King of Grilled Chicken!

This place is as great as you heard and better! Honest, humble people cooking some food that will make your mouth go into overload! I don't sugar coat things and say everything is good. If it is so so I'll be honest and tell you. But this place is off the charts!

This place is always packed, inside and out. Don't let that stop you. The smell outside was amazing and it lured me in. Very busy but they have a system and move fast. The food does not disappoint, tastes wonderful

The chicken in this restaurant is definitely a good one. I have already been here before, and I just came back since I am near it, and just like the last time I went here, the food was still as good as before. I ordered the same thing I had the last time I went here, and it was delicious and definitely worth the wait. I ordered their combo, specifically their two-piece chicken combo. I went here for lunch, and the restaurant was so busy inside and on the drive through. It was more convenient for me to use the drive thru rather than order inside, which has the same long lines as the drive thru. I was just really glad that the lines were moving pretty quickly and I waited a really long time to order and for the food. I think waiting is worth it because if I did not wait, I would not be able to eat their delicious food. The two pieces of chicken were really huge, like each had a huge portion. It was cooked perfectly. It was tender and the flavor just literally melted in my mouth. I definitely love their chicken. It was flavorful. It was not the best one I’ve ever had, but it is definitely the one that I can always remember. I highly recommend this spot. Their chicken is the best, and the prices are reasonable.
