I ordered three different dishes because I love trying Haitians dishes in different restaurants and writing reviews about them. Well, I spent over $50 for food that doesn’t even taste good. The meat for the Taso kabrit is very dry inside , the rice is soaked in the sauce, also it’s very sticky, the oxtail sauce I could taste the tomato paste in my mouth, the sauce isn’t good at all. I’m Haitian and I know how to cook Haitian food but this right here is the worse Haitian food I’ve ever tasted. The presentation of the food not good at all. Taso kabrit pa supoze dry it needs sauce to make the meat soft not hard and dry. Thanks for the experience but I don’t recommend this place to real Haitians who knows Haitian food at all.

This was an absolutely amazing experience!! This is probably the best Haitian food we've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the curry goat with red beans and rice with the sides. I don't typically order goat because of how easy it can be to mess up a dish for me if the smell is not properly taken care of. I was not disappointed and the food was amazing and we both are until we were full and took leftovers. They have some of my favorite Haitian drinks that tested like they used really fresh fruits. Unable to pick one, they combined the passion fruit and soursop for me to create an incredible drink. They informed me they don't normally mix those two and they didn't know how it would come out, but that was a very successful mix and experiment on my part. Just added a little water to it to decrease the bitterness and it was delicious. Next time we are in Chicago we will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

This place has amazing food. However, the protein is always too salty - fried beef, pork, and goat meat. Even when I order the entree, I only eat the black rice, plantain and spicy vinegar veggie side. Also, the hours of operations are inconsistent. There are multiple times when it says they are open and you go there to eat and it’s not open. Service is inconsistent as well. It’s the only Haitian restaurant in chicago so reviews don’t matter - I guess, lol. Plus I don’t understand the deal with their mini water, why not give full bottle water, customer is paying for it after all.

Feel like the food is made to please white people…didn’t have the Haitian taste or experience with this restaurant! The legume was absolutely gross and watery it was missing everything you need to make legume! I was disappointed because I was traveling in from Miami and this was the only Haitian restaurant in Chicago that would pop up on my gps and it was not what I expected!

My family arrived 30 minutes before closing and the owners were very hospitable and allowed us to sit and eat. One of the owners remembered us from last time and was very kind. Our food was delicious. I highly recommend coming here.

The food taste GREAT🙌🏾. The service was excellent. I’m from FL, and I’m visiting Chicago for the 1st time. Kizin Creole is representing the culture well 🇭🇹🇭🇹 I had gryo, stew chicken, djon djon rice and white rice and black beans. Definitely worth every penny. I wish I was staying longer in Chicago just to eat here another day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I will definitely be back and when I come I’m bringing the whole squad.

This place was AMAZING. I got the goat stew. I had no idea goat could be so tender. Their rice was delicious, and every single one of the appetizers in their appetizer sampler was a hit. Portion sizes were huge. The juice? Incredible. Go here.

We took our family to this restaurant for Father's Day and we were happy with the service we got. The food was absolutely delicious and the owner is a delight. She has a welcoming smile for everyone. We live 45 minutes from there but I will definitely make the long drive again. I love seeing my Haitian brothers shine. Great job guys!

I’m speechless! This was one of the best meals that I ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE! The chicken was succulent and full of flavor as was the peas and rice. Thank you for allowing me to try your amazing cuisine and introducing me to your culture. 🙏🏽

Very authentic, very tasty Caribbean cuisine right on the border of Chicago and Evanston. I always love ordering fried chicken or fried goat with Haitian Rice and black beans. Tastes like REAL food and appropriately price. I've bought food for several friends here and they've all enjoyed it. Enjoyed my dining experience every time

Just finished a griyo plate with Diri djondjon rice and pikiz. I also tried Pate Mori. This was my first time coming to a Haitian restaurant I will definitely be back!! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The passion fruit juice and lemonade is also a hit !!

The food was horrible and cold. Macaroni was hard and dry. plantains was very hard. Red snapper was burnt and dried out. The server from my understanding is the owners wife had a terrible attitude. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one. They get this one star because you have to rate the restaurant.

Extremely long wait for everything. Waited 2 hours for food. Air Confirnation was not on for the first hour. Even had to wait 30 minutes for food we ordered to take home and it was not good. Horrible service and mediocre food. Not worth your dime or time.

I've been craving some good Haitian food since my good Haitian friend and GREAT cook moved to Maryland in July. Hoping to satisfy my griot and legume craving I drove from HP to Chicago. The drive was so worth it! The griot was tender, perfectly fried, and full of flavor. I got in the car, took one bite, and ended up eating half of my dinner in the car. Craving definitely satisfied! 😋 I will be back for the legume!!

The food is flavorful, absolutely traditional. We had the fried pork with beans & rice, mushroom rice, and fried chicken. Again, delicious! Dine-in, carryout, probably curbside, I believe their delivery is through UberEats. Only issue was that the table behind us had no masks on and my boys were very uncomfortable with that. Restrictions have just changed, I'm not sure what the rules are for Chicago right now.
