👍👍 This is my go to restaurant in Andersonville, a true jam. I was excited to see they were participating in Restaurant Week, and they didn't disappoint. The variety was great and everything we tried was delicious. The squash bisque and the seafood Salma was to die for. Customer service is always outst... Oda is a true gem for anyone seeking authentic Georgian/Turkish cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. What sets Oda apart is the exceptional service. The staff are not just attentive but genuinely warm and friendly, making you feel at home from the moment you walk in. They're knowledgeable about the menu and eager to accommodate any dietary needs. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly the food. From succulent kebabs to flavorful meze plates, each dish is a culinary masterpiece, perfectly seasoned and generously portioned. In summary, Oda Restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides a delightful experience that touches all your senses. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best food around.

Had my birthday meal delivered from Oda. I spoke to the owner the day before and she was kind and very helpful. So many restaurants have discontinued delivery, so Oda is a pleasant surprise. Starred with the ADJARULI KHACHAPURI cheese and egg boat and also the Spanish Octopus. The vegetables with the octopus are amazing and went well with the meal. I loved the cheese boat and the octopus. We also ordered the babaganoush, which has an amazing taste and texture. My husband had the lamb kabob with hummus and I had the combo kabob so I could explore the different meats and flavors. An excellent choice. I cannot wait to be able to dine in and try the drinks and experience the interior.

Had a few dishes from here, all delicious but not perfect. The mojito was great and the Moussa dish shined. Many dishes contain walnuts so beware if you have an allergy.

We drove from Milwaukee to come here and it was worth the drive! The restaurant is beautiful on the inside, all the staff were very friendly, but the best part was all the food. We had the charred octopus which was the best octopus we’ve had in the US. The khachapuri was fantastic and we really loved the ezme and atom were great too. And the wine was lovely to. We’ll definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. Pros: extraordinary taste of everything, salad was fantastic, appetizer delicious, and the octopus- mmmm. Cons: the octopus is really small for the price. You have to order something more if you’re hungry. In general- small portions, but pricey. And choice of wine is limited. Even though many brands of wine are listed, they didn’t have 3 of them which we asked for.

Ambiance is sexy and at the same time masculine. Wood walls, big booths, intimate tables, and even outdoor patio dining. Everything we had was very flavorful and on par of what we expected (my +1 isTurkish so we are well versed on the cuisine offerings). I recommend you check out this neighborhood gem! We can't wait to go back with friends. Pictures show the beautiful bowl the lentil soup was served in, feta & olives side dish, adana kebab, charred octopus, pida filled with spinach and feta, and kazandibi pudding.

Excellent dining experience. House cocktails were inventive not overly fruity but maybe fruit kissed which is my jam. All the foods were perfectly prepared love the family style meal. Enjoyed a dry red Georgian wine selected by our server. Overall excellent and will return.

I ordered Adana Kebab. First of all, I came to this restaurant as someone who knows what kebab is. Kebab is served with rice. In the menu, they supported this WITH A PICTURE. When we came to the restaurant, the waiter asked if we wanted the kebab with RICE or hummus and we said we wanted it with RICE. However, they served kebab with risotto and when we asked why there was no rice, the answer we got was, "Today's morning meals were served with risotto, and because risotto is made today, we served it with risotto". RICE is RICE, RISOTTO is RISOTTO. Based on your unprofessional answer, I suggest you google the difference between rice and risotto. And I suggest you not to say that it will be served with rice when ordering.

The food was delicious, I had the shrimp, my friend had the octopus, and we shared some hummus and olives. Reasonably priced for seafood, service was good, seating was well-spaced... just an all-around great experience.

We ate dinner here, and had a passable experience. The appetizer platter was very good and the veggie musaka was also pretty good. There were some touches of fine dining missing from the experience. I didn’t like the cocktail and they did not take it off the bill. We rarely saw our waitress. We had to put our leftovers in containers at the table. It’s confusing because the vibe of the restaurant is nicer but lacks some of the touches I would expect.

Can’t go wrong with a single thing on the menu. I’ve been a fan for decades in its various incarnations, and I have to say Oda is the most delicious yet. In addition to their top notch Turkish fare, oda is one of few restaurants to find Georgian food or wine in Chicago. Get everything, but if that’s not feasible, get the khachapuri, the eggplant rolls (nigvzit badrijani), and personally I love their Stroganoff!

Spent my birthday dinner there. Found this place after I was trying to avoid going downtown or to Randolph area for my special dinner and I am glad that I found this place. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes on their menu. Had the Ribs and beef stroganoff as our entrees. Has Serbian red wine with dinner which was incredible. I definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. everytime I I need a decent lunch, this restaurant comes straightaway to my mind. good and all sorts of food and a large menu.generous team, and pleasant spirit. In addition to that, the bill is fair. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.

Some of the best food in Chicago - both Turkish and Georgian specialties are featured - great kabobs , katchupuri and a sampler platter. A lot of vegetarian (and even vegan) choices if your friemd does not eat meat. Excellent service and super ambiance

Interesting place with Turkish/Georgian food. I liked their Sultan's delight. The cornbread was too plain. Muscles tasted not bad, a little bit on a dry side. I think 3 out of 5 is a good rate for them. Some dishes can be tastier.

I was not impressed at all. The flavor was very basic and just blah. I ordered the Shak Shuka and the Shrimp a la Marina. The meal was boring and bland. Portion size was fair, but the entire meal simply fell short on tastiness. Very disappointed!!

I really can't express how much we enjoyed this restaurant. I had been here previously during the shutdown where we had to dine outside. And we thought it was really good. But the indoor dining experience was exceptional. The food options are interesting and delectable. One person in our party is a pescatarian and there were numerous options for her. I look forward to returning.

Unfortunately this place is more about vibes and looks than food. We had Georgian amber wine which was pretty nice, outside seating is fun if the weather is nice, our server was friendly and nice too. We tried octopus, sarma, and adana, unfortunately none of those foods were made right. Octopus was not bad but I thought all the decor food around it was a little too much for one small leg of octopus. Sarma filling was way too plain, not enough flavor in it at all it was like plain rice and leaves, adana kebap was more like a sis kofte, taste wise it did not even resemble an adana kebab. I was born and raised in Turkey these are foods that I had hundreds of times before I know what they should taste like. I was disappointed that this was the representation of the cuisine here. I didn’t try any of the Georgian dishes here so I don’t know if they deliver the Georgian aspect better. They should definitely work very hard on the Turkish dishes on their menu though.

Good Mediterranean food, but the service is a little slow. So bring a bottle of wine or two (I think they’re still byob) and enjoy the conversation. They also offer calzones which I have yet to try that look amazing.

This kitchen is amazing and unique. The recipes and presentation are high end. Nuanced.Chef of 30 years and my Escoffier Chef partner say so. Go here now!

Fancy, glad someone took this space that sat closed for 2 years. Inside is dark, food is eclectic Mediterranean. I’ll have to try it again, we were there when they just opened and had a weird lunch. This thing we had was kinda like a calzone, I thought the crust was greasy but the kabob was delicious.

Amazing Mediterranean food. They have the best hummus!!!

  • 2/5 D T. 4 years ago on Google
Ordered via UberEats. Far to overpriced. Nothing special. Hummus is average. Mixed grill isn’t worth the price. Baklava is $8 and I only received 3 pieces (cut in half!) rather than the advertised 4. Wont be ordering again.

The food was exceptional. We ordered the braised ribs and the salad (cukes, tomatoes, peppers, feta). The rib order was the best meal I have had in ages. I will definitely return for it, including the bread. The wait staff was extremely nice and congenial. Our food did take a little longer than usual, which is the reason for the 4 stars versus 5. Great dining.

last night was the first time in this place. But It is absolutely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the excellent service, with the first-rate cooking and fine drinks and with the comfortable charge. We will absolutely come back soon.

First and foremost, the food is delicious - fresh and flavorful. They describe themselves as Mediterranean, but the menu is heavy with authentic Turkish cuisine, which makes Oda stand out from the other Mediterranean restaurants in the neighborhood. The wines were beautiful, and our server, Melissa, was very knowledgeable not only of the vintage and flavors, but also the origins and processes. After listening to our comments on the first round of wine, she made a recommendation, a Georgian wine, that we wouldn't have tried otherwise, and she was spot on. So I guess that leads to the next point that the service was amazing! Can't wait to go back for more!!

Oda has the best mediterranean food in Chicago, and has been a favorite of ours for years. We even contributed to their pandemic gofundme. But I believe I got food poisoning from the eggplant roulades in our most recent order. FP is a terrible experience. I’ll be passing on any more orders from Oda.

Stopped by for the beef and lamb wrap, salmon plate and some Turkish delight desserts. The wrap was flavorful and delicious. The salmon was moist, perfectly seasoned and the hummus was gone before I realized the dinner came with bread. The lady dealing with customers was very knowledgeable and described all 14 Turkish delight desserts. Picked up 4 and found them a perfect way to end the meal, great texture, mild but tasty and a nice variety of flavors. Great find.

This is one of my top date night places in Chicago.I came here on valentine's day and found the place extremely romantic.I got to taste their valentine's day special menu and the cuisine was heavily Turkish. Both lamb and steak were amazing and they have an impressive wine selection.I got to try a few and I loved everything about it.The food, the service and the ambience everything exceeded my expectations..Definitely come back for more.

A delicious dinner! We ordered a full dinner for two from the Prix fixe menu— the portions were great and the food was delicious. We had leftovers. They even put in a yummy gratis dessert, the kazandibi— I think to say thanks for ordering take out during the shelter-in-place order. For vegetarians or folks who like veggie dishes, I recommend the dolmades, veggie moussaka, and mushroom stroganoff.
