I'm shocked at some of the reviews. Please remember this is a public pool with a large main pool, 3 water slides, splash pad, sand box, lazy river, diving boards, concession stand and swim lessons. It's run by the park district so just like park district programs there is standard public pricing as well as special discounts for residents after 5pm ($5 per person). People may feel it's expensive but it offers a lot more than other public pools. They do have a swimwear policy that they try to enforce (and should given the recent CDC public pool warnings) and no they do not allow food in because I can't imagine the mess that could cause (my theory). You can leave a cooler in your car though and get a stamp for re-entry. You can also bring your own lock for lockers too to save all costs. We have been coming for many years and highly enjoy but know it does get crowded on hot days so yes you will have to wait for a tube and slides, but I'm glad there's a place for everyone to enjoy. Every hour there are special adult only swim times in the pool for 10mins or so. The lifeguards are truly some of the best there are!

Great pool, my kids love it. Down fall is the half price after 4. Brings in a lot of garbage people that dont seem to watch their children. If not a resident they should have to pay full price regardless. Lifeguards work hard to do their jobs, if they have to jump in numerous times to save the same child , then those people should get kicked out. It affects everyone. Lifeguards are not babysitters. They are there to save people. Please watch your children!

The day I went, there was an incident at the slides. The lifeguards hurried to the injured person and they were very professional in attending to the person's needs. Another time, there was someone struggling in the deep area of the pool and one of the lifeguards didn't even hesitate to blow the whistle, jump in, and lend a hand. I'm not saying this to scare anyone about this place but rather that the lifeguards are excellent and attentive. It's one reason why I will keep going back.

Brought my kids here a week ago thinking we would stay all day for the price and thought there was more to offer, but they were bored after 1 hour. There was constant yelling at my kids for running. It also smelled. It was lightening everywhere and they said it was ok to swim. I felt horrible for the staff.

Very basic, & mediocre selection for a water park, not worth the cost of non residential fees, the Staff is rude and racist, my friend was uncomfortable being there by being โ€œAfrican Americanโ€ by receiving extra attention in an bad way, crowds are rowdy at times, some of the caucasian teens gave trashy vibes, & uncleanliness behaviors, donโ€™t recommend it at all.

Not too big but perfect for my 3 kids under 11. A bit pricey though for not being a full water park.

Everything you need to have fun

We enjoyed it. The prices are a little bit steep. They should actually give you a better price if you live within so many miles of the park. The food is reasonable, and the ice cream is good. Their are water slides, and activities for everything, water activities.

Disappointed! I'm a Tinley Park resident and will go to Orland pool from now on. This was our first visit. Patrons ignore lifeguard commands everywhere and some lifeguards dont bother saying anything. A lot of rough housing in the lazy river nothing said. One woman was entering in the EXIT to the lazy river WITH a drink in her hand....lifeguard told her she couldnt enter thru the exit..she said oh and kept going. Two women were wearing completely inappropriate swimwear. One was a thong the other was wearing a bikini top that covered 3 inches, nipple only and see thru. Some were not even wearing suits! One woman was wearing a skirt in the pool! What is that? Not enough umbrellas on grounds. I'm just so disappointed. Cant blame the lifeguards entirely for this. Needs mgmt walking around to enforce.

Absolutely wonderful time with family on hot sunny day. The pool and rides were perfect. Bit unhappy with lazy river. It had no flow so end up sometimes in opposite direction. However after afternoon it appeared they fixed the issue and lazy river was good.

Fun for little kids. Initially last summer thought the water park was the best for kids younger than 8. This summer the place has become too relaxed with it's rules and the place is getting dirtier. People are allowed in the pool with REGULAR street clothes (button downs, polos, slacks) and you see food from home all over the grounds! Very unhygienic ๐Ÿ‘Ž they did change buckets to water slides for the little kids in the main pool๐Ÿ‘ Bathrooms always need cleaning, drains clogged with hair, smell of urine. For these reasons, I'd say 3.5 stars.

Awesome water park, the cost for a family of 4...$64. NOT a 64 dollar water park!

We had a very bad experience with this place. They were very racist and rude. They went into my 4 year old god son back pack while it was on his back and were yanking him while going through it and after going through his back pack left it wide open and his towel hit the floor. My nieces were talk to in an extremely rude manner on the slides...Itโ€™s crazy people still treat patrons like this...I know nothing will be done about it and I already tried calling but at least others will know what to expect before coming to this establishment.

Great place to beat the heat and I am impressed with all the attentive life guards on duty! They are always on their A-game. When I go by myself, I try to find a more secluded place to chill... the spots closest to the lazy river by the kids' sand pit are the best.

I've been going here with my kids for many years for everything from the Caribbean fest to the farmer's market to the park benches. It is the perfect center of Tinley with plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop within walking distance.

good place to listen to the concerts

  • 5/5 Cathy C. 6 years ago on Google
Tinley Park hosts free concerts during the summer at Zabrocki Plaza on Saturdays from 7-10pm. Last Saturday's concert featured the Smiley Tilmon band, an awesome Chicago blues band. Each concert features a different genre to have wider appeal. There are food tents and you can bring your pet of you sit along the outer perimeter. Bring your lawn chairs. Coolers allowed. There's room in front of the stage for dancing. Check out the Village of Tinley Park website, under Special Events, for a list of dates and bands apoearing.

It's nice here. The prices are a bit expensive for non-residents maybe they should think of a pier payment solution according to where you live. It's clean, and it's busy today. There are quite a few shaded areas in the park.

It's perfect for small children. I have two girls ages 7 and 1. We usually go to Deep River Water Park but the drive is long and it's a lot for me to handle alone. This water park is perfect for younger children. It's small yet exciting! And it's way cheaper! Thanks for a good time!
